Bigshot's Sweetie Is a Cat!-Chapter 558
Chapter 558: 558
"Don’t overthink it, Baozi. Stop thinking about all the bad stuff," Wen Xiao’ai said.
Seeing the young boy’s overly negative emotions, she stood up and decided to take him out for a walk, to show him the beauty of the world. Maybe it would lift his spirits, and perhaps he would even start thinking about reincarnation again.
"Baozi, let me take you out for some fun. The Human Realm is so much fun, and there are so many delicious things to eat."
"Go out? But aren’t you waiting for that human?"
"Jun Moyan has disappeared somewhere, and I don’t know when he’ll be back. We’ll just go out for a bit and come back soon; it won’t take long. Anyway, no matter where I go, he can always find me," Wen Xiao’ai said, subconsciously jingling her wrist.
A clear and pleasant sound of a bell rang out, sounding very comforting.
"Really, we’re going?"
The boy was filled with curiosity towards this unfamiliar world, but even more so, he was afraid.
Compared to his slight curiosity, he actually preferred to stay inside the bell.
Moreover, he was really in a bad mood and didn’t want to go anywhere.
"Yeah, let’s go, we’ll be back soon,"
Wen Xiao’ai instinctively reached out to pull the boy along, but luckily she reacted quickly enough not to do so, otherwise, she would have hurt his feelings again.
"Well, okay then,"
The boy saw Wen Xiao’ai’s enthusiasm and understood that she actually wanted to take him out to distract him, so he agreed.
"Let’s go then. I’m a bit hungry as well, let’s go buy some snacks. While Jun Moyan is not around, let’s eat a few more ice creams," Wen Xiao’ai said as she hurriedly walked outside.
"Sister, aren’t you going to change your clothes?"
"Clothes?" Wen Xiao’ai looked down at herself dressed in her pink and white cat-themed summer pajamas.
"Why change? Isn’t this pretty?"
"Sister, you’re a girl, and there are so many people outside, wouldn’t it be a bit... inappropriate?" the boy said, hesitant to glance at Wen Xiao’ai’s tender and pale legs.
"Not at all, I think it’s fine. Plus, I’m lazy. I don’t want to change. Then I’d have to change back when we come back to sleep, which is such a hassle."
"Well, okay then, let’s go,"
"Alright, oh wait, I haven’t taken my money yet," Wen Xiao’ai said as she turned back to the sofa, rummaging through her backpack full of snacks to pull out a stack of red bills.
Though she spent every day with Jun Moyan and could get anything she wanted just by asking him, Moyan still gave her some cash for emergencies.
She always kept the cash Moyan gave her together with that backpack full of snacks, never really thinking she would spend it herself, but rather thinking of taking it back to the Demon Clan to show her friends more of the Human Realm.
Sooner than expected, it proved to be useful.
After grabbing the money, she left the hotel with the boy.
Before she could even find the ice cream, she was already tempted by other delicious foods.
When the cashier asked if she wanted to pay via WeChat or cash and saw Wen Xiao’ai pulling out a handful of red bills from her pocket, their eyes unwittingly widened.
Seeing Wen Xiao’ai come out in her pajamas alone to buy things, and given how attractive she looked, the cashier’s protective instinct was immediately triggered, so he kindly reminded her, "Miss, be careful with showing your money, especially when you’re alone."
Wen Xiao’ai took the change from the cashier, blinked her captivating deep blue eyes, stuffed the money in her pocket casually, and asked with a smile, "Are you worried someone might rob me?"
The cashier nodded with a smile, "Miss, do you need protection? I can help."
"No need, I have protection."
