Becoming Secret Nanny for Possessive CEO-Chapter 94: Jealous Callum
Edith was still awkward in the current situation. She stood opposite Cliff, staring at the other couple, who were just as affectionate as they were. She was incredibly jealous of Callum, who was already hugging his enemy’s waist affectionately. However, she was also relieved that Callum hadn’t gone too far and kissed his enemy’s hand openly.
Edith returned her attention to her lover, who was kissing her right hand. Everyone was in awe, but Callum was not, whose jealousy was growing. Edith silently apologized to Callum, and after the party, she promised to spend as much time with him as she could.
Now Edith also wanted revenge on Callum for making her jealous. She deliberately flashed Cliff a sweet smile and a sparkling gaze, her right hand now wrapped tightly around his neck.
As the romantic music began, the couple slowly moved their feet. Although all the guests watched in awe, Callum felt that what he was doing wasn’t romantic. He was forced to do it to ensure his mission didn’t fail.
Meanwhile, Edith was envious of Callum and Arabella’s harmonious dance, which was quite beautiful in her eyes. She also didn’t want to be outdone in showing off her affection by touching her lover’s shoulder.
"Edith, I was actually so jealous of Callum at the last dance. He was so lucky to be able to dance with you."
"At first, I hoped you wouldn’t recognize me because I was wearing a mask. I didn’t expect your eyes to be so sharp."
"Of course it’s easy for me to know you because you are my fiancé."
"Sorry, I should have accepted your invitation at that time."
"It’s okay. If Callum insists, you can’t refuse."
"Actually, at the time, I still thought Callum was my fiancé. That’s why I accepted him without thinking twice. Seeing him cheat openly in front of me, I will never forgive him again."
"Now I want to ask you one thing."
"What do you want from me?"
"I want you to forget all the memories you had with Callum. Even though you still don’t remember the memories we shared five years ago, I’m still grateful that you gave me a chance."
"I will not be fooled by anyone again. I don’t want to be stupid just because I’m blinded by love."
Cliff stared for a moment at Arabella, who was dancing so harmoniously with Callum, making him jealous. In reality, his earlier statements were just empty talk, as he was exploiting Edith to steal Callum’s twins.
"By the way, since when did you become so good at dancing? Have you ever practiced dancing before?"
Edith smiled shyly as she looked around. "Of course. I practise with a reliable instructor."
"No wonder, when I danced with you, you were already very professional. In fact, I actually want to learn dancing from you."
"Because I’ve always wanted to dance with you. That’s why I’ve been practicing for a long time so I don’t ruin the mood."
Meanwhile, Callum was still forcing a smile at Arabella to make his beloved fiancée jealous. He was actually seeking revenge because his fiancée had made him jealous since the party began. He wondered how she would react to seeing him dancing with another woman.
"Callum, are you free tonight?"
"Of course. What’s wrong?"
"I plan to want to–" 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮
"I’m not finished talking to you yet. I actually want to rest alone because I’ve been feeling tired lately. I don’t want to be disturbed by anyone."
Her lips instantly curled into a pout when Callum’s answer didn’t meet her expectations. "Okay, I know you’ve been busy lately, so you haven’t had time to ask me out."
"Are you angry?"
"No. I have no right to be angry. I actually care more about your health."
"I didn’t expect you to be so considerate." As the romantic music ended, their footsteps stopped simultaneously. Callum bowed like a gentleman. "Thank you for dancing with me, Arabella."
Amidst this awkward moment, all the guests cheered for the star couple to kiss. Callum felt increasingly overwhelmed watching his beloved fiancée’s blissful expression as their lips almost touched. His right hand clenched tightly, wanting to ruin the moment at all costs.
Meanwhile, Edith also wanted to avoid Cliff’s kiss, not wanting to upset Callum. Now she thought of another way to prevent him from kissing her. She quickly broke the hug and patted her waist as if exhausted from dancing for so long. This ridiculous act disappointed everyone.
"Cliff, I’m sorry. My back suddenly aches."
Cliff immediately looked around nervously at the guests. "It’s okay. Besides, I think I overdid it. I’m sorry, Edith."
"Actually, I didn’t mean to avoid your kiss. I really need some rest now."
"Then, how about you take a rest now?"
Edith nodded, slowly releasing her lover’s hand. "Okay, I’ll rest inside. Is it okay if I leave you alone here?"
"It’s okay. It’s better for you to rest than for everyone to think I’m being cruel and inconsiderate to you."
"Okay, I will obey you now."
Edith quickly left the area, gracefully lifting her dress. She was curious about Callum’s whereabouts. She had expected him to be furious, as the situation had escalated, and she should have avoided it. She hoped Callum wouldn’t resent her for it.
drrrt...drrrt...
Suddenly, her phone vibrated in her sling bag. She took it out and read a text message from her beloved fiancé.
"I’ll be waiting for you in the break room. Let’s talk."
Her hunch had been right from the start. She had expected Callum to scold her in the break room, as her actions were no longer an act. Now she was mentally preparing herself to enter the break room before Callum’s scolding.
As soon as she opened the break room door, her right hand was immediately pulled away and the door was locked tightly. Her eyes widened as Callum aggressively devoured her lips, making her gasp for breath. Unprepared for the kiss, she quickly broke it off, wrapping her arms around his neck.
