Still, she had to give him credit on that battlefield. "Thanks," came the curt reply from her in a stiff voice. "Your little input helps here."

Luke smiled. "Welcome. And don’t forget my advice."

"Just let’s see who wins in a year, shall we?" she said exasperatedly as Luke mostly disappeared from her, and she felt a huge breeze before she even realized he was behind her.

"By the way," he pulled up, "consider adjusting your... um... proportions, if you may."

He slapped her toned backside with a hand—the slap echoed throughout the air, sending her flying up into the air for meters on end.

Chloe’s gasp of astonishment morphed into shrill screeching after that.

"Luke!"

Chloe stopped herself mid-air using the wings of the wind, but the damage was done. The stinging sensation on her backside only fueled her humiliation.

Her entire face flushed as she shouted, "You’ve gone too far this time! I’ll repay you twice as much in a year!"

"What is she doing there? That’s far too dangerous!" Without a second thought, he grabbed his coat and rushed out.

An enormous silver web that was almost 100 meters in diameter twisted into being upon the surface of the Crimson Abyss Rive, intricately forming a lattice across the water.

Three massive purple Void Devourer Spiders had appeared on it, with all their eight shining eyes glued keenly onto the trapped Krakens squirming within the threads.

The spiders clicked and hissed with excitement, their many legs shivering in anticipation.

At the edge of the battlefield, Luke smiled amusedly. "Looks like my summon is having a ball. Least they are earning their keep this time around."

The three Void Devourer Spiders communicated among themselves with sharp clicks as they shared up their prey among themselves. One grimacing giant crab tried in vain to raise its mighty claw in defiance and snap the web.

Bad idea.

Before it could even register the web’s oppressive hold, the strands of the Void Devourer Web secured its body. The lead spider looked down at the crab, her expression smeared with disdain. In her territory, the web was a nigh-impenetrable fortress, and the Krakens were only entrees laid out for her supper.
