Beating Instances through Words Left by the Dead-Chapter 376 - 210: Eradication!
Wu Chang and He Yun passed through the light, returning to the main hall in reality.
The Mother Goddess’s emergency return was naturally within Wu Chang’s expectations.
During his earlier exchange with He Yi, he had already figured out the rules of the Mother Goddess’s entries and exits from the Soul Space through He Yi. Each time the Mother Goddess entered or exited, the Desire Stele within the Soul Space would light up.
Since the Mother Goddess had never considered that anyone could enter her space to rescue someone, she had never concealed it in front of He Yi.
Wu Chang’s long-distance teleportation only allowed him time to bring He Yun inside to rescue He Yi. To leave, they had to wait for the Mother Goddess to open the door herself.
The space He Yi was in was similar to the Golden Country he created using the Golden Throne; it was the Mother Goddess’s exclusive space. They smuggled inside, and the Mother Goddess would soon sense it. They weren’t afraid she wouldn’t open the door.
What if she never opens the door?
Wouldn’t that be even better? They could wait until Wu Chang’s long-distance teleportation cools down, and then leave on their own.
Back in the main hall in reality, Wu Chang looked at He Yun and asked, "Do you have any usable vessel with you?"
"A vessel?" He Yun was momentarily confused by Wu Chang’s question.
Wu Chang said, "Something that can move on its own, a robot or a mechanical dog would do."
He Yun realized and reached into her toolbox to search.
"As long as it’s a temporary body for your brother, it just needs to be able to move. No need for particularly high requirements," Wu Chang added.
Hearing Wu Chang’s words, He Yun quietly put the self-destruct mechanical dog back, and took out a multifunctional drone, thirty centimeters tall.
"Will this do?"
"It should be fine."
Wu Chang said, waving his hand, as a mystical ceremony appeared before him.
He placed the drone inside it, and then shook the Four-sided Age Fire Lamp, freeing He Yi’s soul from within the lamp.
Once the elements were assembled, after a flash of light, the drone on the ground flew up by itself without any remote control.
The signal lights on the drone flickered a few times, and then He Yi’s voice sounded before them.
"Am I really out?"
Even at this point, He Yi still found it hard to believe that a strange stranger had taken his sister and broke into the Mother Goddess’s domain to rescue his soul from there.
To be honest, compared to the reality of what happened, he preferred to believe that everything was a trick of the Mother Goddess, that she designed it to break his path.
He feared that when he believed everything was true, the Mother Goddess would suddenly appear and destroy everything he saw.
He Yun looked at the floating drone, opened her arms:
"Welcome home."
He Yi pondered for a moment, deciding it wouldn’t be so bad to let the Mother Goddess win once, and slowly settled on He Yun’s arm.
He intended to embrace her, but upon getting closer, he realized he had no arms.
Seeing their awkward reunion, Wu Chang said:
"Later, let He Yun build you a robot body. I’ll help place your soul in it, and you’ll be able to resume human actions."
He paused, looking at He Yi’s drone and said:
"Although it won’t be possible to create a miniature one in the future, I saw an advertisement in the city for an invincible big steel cannon that telescopes twenty thousand times a minute. Not only can it heat and discharge, but it rotates as well, definitely handy."
He Yi: ...
If only the drone wasn’t armed, he would have blasted this damned thing.
He Yun briefly recounted the events that occurred after He Yi fell asleep, and Wu Chang supplemented with details based on the resentment he sensed.
After hearing the events of the past, the drone’s propeller spun quickly, and the indicator lights on the display screen merged into an angry face.
"I knew there was something fishy about that Mercury fellow. I should have taken him down before sealing the Desire Mother Goddess!"
He Yun didn’t focus much on Mercury. She turned to Wu Chang, with a rare gentle expression on her face.
"Although we all fell victim to the scheming by those behind the scenes, manipulated like puppets, it was also my lack of willpower that made me fall into Mercury’s trap and evade the past, sinking into despair."
"Since meeting Peace, with his help, I’ve begun to rediscover who I once was, daring to take on everything once more. Standing here again, seeing you, my brother, I’ve completely remembered the events of the past and am ready to face it all."
Ellipsis appeared on He Yi’s display screen. After a few seconds of silence, the ellipsis transformed into a pair of eyes that looked at He Yun, asking:
"Are you sure you’re ready?"
He Yun nodded seriously, then turned to face Wu Chang with a smile, saying, "You’ll be by my side, right?"
Wu Chang naturally replied, "How many times have I told you, no matter what you want to do, I will walk with you to the end."
Feeling an inexplicable atmosphere, He Yi flew in two circles around Wu Chang, after observing him from every angle a few times, he flew in front of Wu Chang and said:
"Even though I find you quite unpleasant, I’ll still entrust my sister to you."
Wu Chang responded, "Leave it to me. I won’t let her come to harm."
He Yun’s cheeks turned slightly red as she coughed lightly, bringing their attention back. She said:
"You guys went off topic. We haven’t finished talking about the main issue. When Peace helped me face the past, I remembered the events that transpired and why the entire 88 Underground Shelter fell into a strange underground cycle."
"Because..."
He Yun was just about to mention the most critical part when suddenly a shadow shot abruptly from afar, crashed heavily onto the ground, and the loud collision interrupted He Yun’s words.
