Beastmen Love-Chapter 155: Friend Or Enemy?

Kangki only wants to shut them up. He’s a very practical beastman, and if he could he could just kill whoever is disturbing to show others who is the strongest and that’s why they have no right to discuss anything. He didn’t do that already because he knew Astri would be mad at him and would never forgive him.

"Calm down, Kangki. There’s no problem asking questions." Astri says to Kangki.

"If they’re thinking so much you’re the problem here, why don’t you destroy the walls you built with your powers, destroy your castle and we move somewhere else? Let them taste the life without you around. I’m tired of these low females talking sh!t about you." Kangki says, crossing his arms, containing his anger.

Astri’s other spouses can’t deny they’re thinking the same way as Kangki.

She smiles, and nods thanking them.

"Answering that lady’s question about Ana. Ana has become an amazing female now, raising strong cubs, and all of her males are growing stronger and becoming important parts of these tribes. Good people are a key factor of a strong society and females are the most important not only for procreation but for empowering others around them. After understanding that Ana and Fraz became the strongest females from these tribes. I didn’t give them any power, they just understood their meaning." Astri explains after pointing to the female who asked about Ana’s change of mind towards Astri. "Fraz and I are friends. More like she’s a mom to me. Ana and I didn’t actually become friends. We just respect each other. No one needs to love me to be good. Do good to your family and you will be doing good for everyone. And you also don’t need me to become stronger."

Astri stands up slowly. Kangki and Claud go to her side to help her.

Most of people seemed to agree that they don’t believe Astri is an enemy. Most females might not like her, but few believe that she’s a threat.

"I do." A male feather beastman raises his arm.

"May I become one of your private guards? I saw them training inside once and they receive special training."

"Oh, that’s not something I answer about. My guards are chosen by Galion. Talk to him to learn about that." She answers.

"I have a question, Lady Astri." Another male raises his arm.

"If I have more than 8 marks I can become your guard?"

"No. Only if Monsters or Ferals try to get inside. Please, do not use the river as a sandbox or else I’ll have to remove it." Astri answers.

"The guards will be responsible for watching that too. We appreciate your help to keep us protected." Shung says.

"Thank you. Even if I’m not here it will protect you at least until aid is back."

"Excuse me, Lady Astri. We thought you wouldn’t leave. I believe most of us don’t want you to leave." A male answers.

"I am Nature’s Daughter. As much as I love to live my calm life in our castle, studying and discovering new things, more people are needing Nature’s aid. It was the same for Beau’s Kingdom, Koa’s Tribe. I was chosen for this task and I’m honored to help someone in need. I will have to leave periodically, however, it makes me truly happy to know I have a place to come back and call home." She says and smiles at everyone, appreciating his words.

Kangki carries her.

"You need to rest." Kangki softly says.

Shung, Lee, Wayde, and Tyr stayed to talk to anyone who had questions. However, they weren’t expecting that people wouldn’t question anything about her anymore. Some are feeling honored and grateful that they live there because someone like her exists. Her spouses are proud and happy to know that their people won’t be a risk to Astri and that everything they were doing worked the way Astri said it would. They created loyal people through care and love, that’s why most people grew up to be smarter and less judgmental. Few people are still having a hard time understanding these changes, but they’re few and also needed to raise a healthy society.

Kangki puts Astri on the couch and then, when he is about to sit, Dieg sits on her side. Then Zin also sits on her other side, making Kangki growl internally.

"Come, big frown. I’ll teach you to cook even if you don’t like it. You need to learn." Claud says after tapping Kangki’s shoulder.

Now Kangki sighed internally, even knowing Claud was right. He already noticed how proud Astri becomes eating her spouses’ meals and he’s no different in wanting her happiness.

While Claud and Kangki are cooking, Cyprian, Beau, and Koa go training. After several moments, Xzan arrives.

"Dante is outside with his female and her other males. What should I tell them?" Xzan asks Astri.

"To come inside, please. Thank you." Astri answers.

"Can we have a break? We just sat here." Dieg whines, kissing Astri’s hands slowly in an attempt to heal her bruises.

"I’m fine, love. Besides, I’ve promised Dante to help him. I’ll rest afterward." She says.

"What are you planning to do?" Kangki asks, trying to read her mind but not finding the answer clearly.

"I’ll just follow what Nature says." She answers with a smile.

Dante comes in followed by his female and her other males.

"I came here with them as you asked me, Lady Astri." Dante says.

"Good. Did you explain why they’re here?" Astri asks.

"No. I didn’t."

"All right.. Help me stand, love." She says and taps on Zin’s leg.

He half shifts and slowly coils around her and helps her stand without pressuring her body. Astri noticed the female’s disgusted face to Zin.

"Dante told me that he became your spouse without the desire to be. Because of the fake medicine, he became delusional and mated with you, not even remembering what happened. Was it the same for you?" Astri asks the female.

"...Why are you asking me this?" She asks.

"Dante doesn’t want to be your spouse. I’m asking you this because I want to know if you feel the same." Astri answers.

The female crosses her arms with a humph.
