Beastmen Love-Chapter 152: New Walls

Astri rushed out of the castle and took to the sky. The first thing she saw was one of the giant worms bursting from the ground, smashing part of the rock walls. She dove down, spotting Shung fleeing in his wolf form. Swiftly, she swooped down, grabbing him and several others, carrying them to safety away from the crumbling wall and the rampaging worm.

"Astri?! What are you doing here?! Get back inside!" Shung shouted, shifting back into human form, his face pale with worry.

Beastmen around them stared in disbelief, witnessing Astri’s display of power, unsure whether to protect her or question what was happening.

"Don’t worry. Keep the Monsters at bay." Astri instructed, her voice calm and commanding.

Cyprian, now in his dragon form, had grappled with the worm, his massive claws struggling to hold it. Astri soared higher, then plunged down, her spear extending and glowing with energy. She drove it deep into the worm’s body, the blade cutting through flesh like it was soft earth. She twisted it, circling the creature like she was opening a massive can.

Once she had cut deep enough, she raised her hand and ripped the worm’s head from its body. With a mighty spin, she hurled the head like a discus, striking the Princes gathered around an open portal.

The scene silenced the battlefield. The Monsters howled, seeing their prize but lacking the courage to move forward, knowing they faced certain death.

"Astri! Get back now!" Cyprian says anxious, wrapping his massive arms around her.

"Don’t worry, love. I’m fine. They won’t have me." Astri reassured him, her voice soft.

"We’re supposed to protect you. Let us do that."

"And I am letting you. It’s like cleaning day. We’ll get through it faster together. You have my back." She said with a smile.

Kangki and Claud joined them, landing nearby.

"I see you managed to escape from it." Claud said with a guilty smile on his face.

"You mean this?" Astri held up the dart. "Smart move, but I told you once that not everyone knows how to hide their thoughts, love. I’m grateful I can."

She chuckled, twirling the dart between her fingers.

"What is that?" Cyprian asks.

"Later I will explain. Astri, you shouldn’t be here, but.." Claud says, and sighs looking around and at the Monster King smiling happy to finally see Astri.

"You need me. You’re not weak for that. None of you. Let’s finish this, loves." Astri says, and then aims her eyes to the Monster King.

Astri’s other spouses realize where she is and they get worried. Everyone now is wondering why Astri is there, and only the ones who know her true identity have an idea of the reason.

"Finally we could meet, Nature’s Daughter. I was afraid I scared you off." The Dragon King and the other two Princes approach Astri and the others in the sky.

"Why should I fear you?" She asks.

"Why? This will be your end. Even if you brought Kangki to your side, he’s weaker as a beastman. I’m prepared to take you with us."

"Are you?" She smirks.

He loses his smile seeing she’s making him a fool.

"I’ll remove that smile from you, killing everyone here. And I’ll make you live only for breeding and as a pit of energy." He growls.

"Will you?" She keeps taunting him, and he growls louder.

"Mark my words!"

"What words?"

"Argh!!" He roars fire in her direction.

Claud reflects the fire, and she throws in the middle of the fire her spear. In the last second, he dodges it and Astri makes the spear fly, attacking him and the others, taking their attention. She shoots the poisoned dart on the Monster King on his arm.

He removes it and feels his eyes darkening, he growls looking at Astri and he grabs one of the Princes and starts sucking all of his life energy to annulate the poison from his body.

Kangki and Cyprian take the chance to attack, but the other Monster Prince attacks first and gives time for the Dragon Monster to throw the dry body of his old foe in their direction.

"I must admit you’re more than just an image, Daughter of Nature. But do not think you will defeat me." Lorog says.

"And I must admit you’re still not good enough to be King. Now I know why you couldn’t defeat Kangki and Salaz." She smiles, making him growl.

"Kangki could only defeat us because he was a Monster. Now that you made him a Beastman again, he can’t defeat me. He’s weaker. His mind is weak."

Lee arrives, however, he doesn’t question anything because he knows if she’s there it’s because it was her last choice.

"His mind is weak? If his mind is weak, yours is a vegetable." She smirks, and he growls angrier while the others chuckle with the comparison.

Then from nowhere, the giant worm comes up again, destroying another part of the wall.

"Laugh now. It’s just a matter of time until I destroy all of your territory." Lorog chuckles.

"Don’t underestimate me, Lorog."

Astri floats back a little, she takes a deep breath and her body starts shining a shimmering glow. She draws a glistening circle in the air, and then the circle forms a portal.

The portal floats to the sky and gets wider. Astri points her left hand to the worm and then makes it fly to the sky.

"Biggie, I’m sending you a nice snack, dear." She says, her voice sounds echoed, like her voice was coming in every direction.

Everyone watched the worm being thrown into the portal. They don’t see what happens next, but the worm was thrown into the ocean and Biggie got it with his giant tentacles.

"You know nothing about me and even less about who created us." Astri says to Lorog.

He growls, seething for her blood and then he attacks.

"Get them." She tells her spouses.

They go forward with the command and fight their enemies. Other Monsters appear flying to fight them.

Astri flies away from them, letting her spouses take care of them because she needs to concentrate on something else. She shines brighter, then she moves her hands and arms as she is carrying something heavy.

New walls start to grow from the ground and everyone around is watching that in shock. She’s using so much power that her clothes are burning slowly from the corners.

When Kangki was about to kill Lorog by stabbing his claws into Lorog’s chest, Lorog disappeared as his last choice. Kangki roars angrily thinking he would be attacked from the back, but then he realizes where Lorog went.

Lorog appears behind Astri and when he is about to knock her out, he feels his body stopping to move. She turns around and faces him, her eyes shining as if the universe were inside of them.

"You will be the example of what happens when you play with Nature and me. This is my home, and now even if you touch these walls you will face me." Astri says, but her voice is echoing so loud everyone can hear so they stop fighting to watch her pointing her hands at him.

He starts to scream, feeling a scrutinizing pain coming from inside of him. He starts to shine bright like the sun was trying to come from inside his body until it is completely covered by the light and turns into a glistening dust.

The Monsters started to howl in despair, knowing their main master was gone, so they ran away quickly toward the other Monster Princes. Astri looks at them as if she is asking if they want to be the next ones. They know they can’t face her after seeing the strongest of them being defeated so easily on her hands.

They create a big portal and start to go through it.

"Make sure all of them leave." She says to her spouses, who only nodded and obeyed.

Astri looks at the walls again, she decides to reinforce them and, with her powers, she raises structural watchtowers that will make it harder for the walls to fall because the watchtowers are large.

When she’s done, she gives an approving sigh and nod. Then she shines even brighter and draws lines in the air. People see a wide trench start to appear on the front of the wall and be drawn all around the walls until it finds the river. The trench starts to fill with the river’s water. The trench doesn’t cross only the entrances of the tribes.

"Now it will be more protected." She sighs tired.

Her body stops shining and then it starts to fall from the sky. Claud and Kangki were the first ones to notice her energy going down entirely, and when they looked at her she was already falling.

Before she hits the ground, Dante and Xzan jump high. Xzan shifts into his human form and grabs Astri, and lets his body fall on Dante to slow down their fall.

They look at her and she’s unconscious, her clothes are almost all burnt, showing more of her body, and her arms look red and swollen.
