Watching the young female doubled over with laughter, Xiao Cheng had no idea why Si Shuo was so happy she couldn’t stop, but her joy was infectious. He squinted and let out a happy MEOW, chuckling along with her.

He shook his head. "MEOW, Sister, I don’t know. Why don’t you tell me?"

Si Shuo looked down at him and burst into another round of laughter. Then, holding him, her gaze drifted downward.

Xiao Cheng instinctively used his tail to cover himself, stammering, "S-Sister, wh-where are you looking!"

Si Shuo’s face was flushed, partly from laughing and partly from a tinge of shyness, but her eyes were mostly filled with a strong sense of curiosity.

"Ahem, your fur is so thick. What could I possibly see?"

"You still have the nerve to say that!" Xiao Cheng turned his head, pretending to be angry. But why, then, did his tail move aside?

Si Shuo caught a glimpse out of the corner of her eye and saw that there was, indeed, nothing but fur! "Sun Simiao... ah, that’s because where I’m from, there was a very famous male who could treat illnesses, known as the Medicine King.

And this male was a Pallas’s cat. His name was a pun, you see. The ’Sun’ part is a play on the word for his species. And what’s more, ha ha..."

She couldn’t help but laugh again. ’This fox of hers always managed to stumble into the weirdest things.’ "That Pallas’s cat, whenever he got intimate with a female... well, it would be... one, two, three, four seconds, and... it was over! Ha ha... Unbelievably fast! That’s why he was called Sun Simiao—it sounds just like ’four seconds’ in our language! I wonder how many seconds *you* last in this Beast Form, Xiao Cheng?"

Xiao Cheng was completely stunned. Humiliation turned to anger. "Sister, I’m not fast! Why don’t you try me and see!" With a MEOW, he transformed into a Pallas’s cat Beastman and pounced on her.

His transformation was total. Aside from being unable to mimic the scent, he was identical in every other aspect. In other words, he had all the natural instincts of that Beastman.

And so, he pounced on the young female, aiming to display his masculine prowess and reassert his dominance. He started off with the ferocity of a tiger, but after a flurry of action... it all went quiet. The battle was over in four minutes.

Si Shuo bit her lip so hard that tears welled up in her eyes from holding back her laughter.

Utterly crushed, Xiao Cheng buried his head in the crook of her neck. He was so full of regret he could have cried, but no tears came. His voice was filled with despair. "Sister, if you want to laugh, just laugh!"

’Why was I so stubborn? The young female already said Pallas’s cats weren’t good at this. Why did I have to be so bull-headed and try it anyway? This is a stain on my entire life! The psychological trauma is immense.’

Si Shuo burst out laughing, rolling around on the bed. Even a single glance at him was enough to make her stamp her feet and cry "Oof!" from laughing so hard.

Xiao Cheng changed back to his original form and held her, trying to kiss her, but the young female wasn’t into it at all. She kept breaking into laughter, and they just couldn’t get back into the mood.

So when Wei Ce came over to take his place, he was greeted by the sight of the young female still laughing happily.

"What’s going on? What’s so funny? Let me in on the joke," Wei Ce asked curiously.

With a soft *POOF*, Xiao Cheng transformed into a Pallas’s cat. "MEOW," he purred. "Sister just likes my Beast Form. Seeing it makes her happy!"

Before he could finish, Zhi Le summoned him to the Southwest Forest, having temporarily copied Wei Ce’s superpower.

Wei Ce had always known the young female was a lover of all things fluffy; even the Big Snake Beast at home had once wanted to grow fur. ’I originally thought that out of all the fluffy ones in the house, I was her favorite. I can’t believe this fox used his Transformation Ability to stumble upon her new favorite thing.’

He watched the young female, her face brimming with a smile and her eyes sparkling beautifully. His heart softened. The murderous aura from his earlier battle in the Southwest Forest vanished without a trace, leaving only the peace and beauty before him.

’It was all worth it!’ He adjusted his attitude quickly. Taking out a Transformation Talisman, before Si Shuo could even stop him, he too transformed into a Pallas’s cat...

Si Shuo had just barely managed to stop laughing when she saw a Pallas’s cat that was one size bigger than Xiao Cheng’s—a Wei Ce Pallas’s cat—and she clutched her stomach, howling with laughter all over again.

"MEOW, Shuo, do I look that funny?" Wei Ce looked down at himself, then stood up on his short little legs and spun around. "My legs do seem a bit short."

’More than just his legs were short...’

Si Shuo laughed until her stomach ached, crying out, "Oof, oof!" These males were going to be the death of her.

However, she was a Cat Beastman, and curiosity and playfulness were in her nature. She couldn’t resist telling him all about what a strange animal the Pallas’s cat was.

And males... they can’t stand anyone implying they aren’t capable in *that* department. They absolutely have to prove their abilities with their own bodies.

And so, another Pallas’s cat set out to redeem the species’ name!

Wei Ce was a mischievous one. When Zhi Le teleported over, he was still in his Pallas’s cat form, rolling around and acting cute in Si Shuo’s arms...

The males used to subtly compete for her affection. Now, there was a giant pitfall right in front of them, but because the smiling young female was on the other side, not a single one tried to avoid it.

Having failed on this front, the males vented all their pent-up frustration in the Southwest Forest, fighting three to five times more ferociously than usual.

All of his older brothers and sisters at home had superpowers. Even his younger sister could hear others’ thoughts. Although Kunzi was the youngest, he was getting anxious. Watching everyone inside the Barrier show off their skills, unleashing all kinds of superpowers, he was filled with envy. Suddenly, he noticed one of the males had Instant Teleportation. He would find a Wild Beast’s weakness, flash over, and kill it with a single, swift strike!

’That’s so cool! In all of martial arts, speed is the one thing that’s unbeatable. If only I had a superpower like that.’

Watching from a tree, Kunzi’s blood boiled with excitement. He couldn’t help but gently flap his wings. Spotting a sparrow on a branch, he imagined it was a Fierce Beast. He narrowed his eyes and—WHOOSH—he was suddenly right in front of it?!!

’Does that mean I have Instant Teleportation too?’

Overjoyed, Kunzi couldn’t resist teleporting right in front of Si Shuo, flapping his wings happily. "Mother, Mother, I have a superpower!"

Si Shuo was in the middle of eating some grilled fish. Hearing Kunzi’s voice, she smiled and waved him over, curious to see what his superpower was.

The little guy vanished from where he stood and reappeared right next to Si Shuo. He said with a hint of pride, "It’s Instant Teleportation! Isn’t it awesome? Isn’t it cool?"

The adorable little falcon had come straight to her to share the good news. Si Shuo smiled and praised him repeatedly, "That’s wonderful! Kunzi, you were already fast, and now with Instant Teleportation, it’s like adding wings to a tiger! You’ll be the fastest and strongest fighter among the Bird Beastmen, and the best flyer among the land beasts..."

Ji Liang tilted his head and hissed softly. ’The young female’s compliments are certainly... unconventional.’

Kunzi flapped his wings happily for a moment before changing into his human form and grabbing a piece of fish to eat. "This is delicious! Seafood is definitely tastier than river fish, especially the fish Father Gong You catches from the deep sea..."

While eating the fish, he told his Father and Mother how he had discovered his superpower.

When they heard him say that he had been envying someone’s Instant Teleportation one second and possessed it the next, Si Shuo and Ji Liang couldn’t help but exchange a look. Wasn’t that a bit too much of a coincidence?

Now that the little guy had a superpower, a great weight was lifted from his heart. After the initial excitement passed, he said with a smile, "Father Ji Liang’s and Second Brother’s superpowers are amazing too. They can go wherever they want in the future."

Before, he had envied everyone for having a superpower. Now that he had one, he couldn’t help but compare the merits of each. They were all so good he wouldn’t want to give any of them up.

"But no matter where Mother is, I’ll be able to find her!"

Suddenly, he remembered his duty. With a groan, he disappeared from the spot, returning to his post with the grilled fish to continue eating.
