Beast World: A Fragile Beauty Blessed with Many Children-Chapter 305 - 304: You’re Talking Nonsense, Where’s the Tail?
Si Shuo poked at Xiao Cheng’s shoulder. He never concealed his affection for her; it was so direct that it was difficult not to adore him. His joy was infectious, making her spirits bubble with cheer.
"My dear Xiao Cheng has worked so hard these past few days," she said, smiling with pursed lips. From behind, she playfully grabbed one of his tails and toyed with it. Its fur was glossy, smooth, and soft. She nuzzled against his neck.
Xiao Cheng felt so weak he could barely stand. A captivating flush crept up to his eyes, making him look even more stunning than usual, yet without a trace of effeminacy.
In a panic, he bit down on a Teleportation Talisman and brought his young female home!
With four of the men away from home, only three of them had been by Si Shuo’s side for the past month. The northwestern forests were quite dangerous, so Si Shuo would only visit Gong You by the sea every few days. Other than that, Yin Jiang would stay for a night after returning from a delivery. The rest of her time—a full third of it—was all his.
It felt a little uncharitable, but for Xiao Cheng, this was the absolute happiest time he’d had since getting together with Si Shuo.
Carrying her into the room, Xiao Cheng couldn’t wait to unleash his fervent passion, but Si Shuo simply covered his mouth with a playful smile.
"Sister," Xiao Cheng didn’t know why, but seeing his young female smile like that made his skin crawl. "Y-You’ve forgiven me, haven’t you?"
"Did I?" Si Shuo asked, pinching his chin with a light laugh.
Xiao Cheng’s heart skipped a beat. It was true—she hadn’t! "Sister, Sister... I missed you so much..."
’This sly fox is trying to change the subject by acting cute again.’ Si Shuo smiled and leaned close to his ear. "You want me, do you?"
Xiao Cheng swallowed hard and nodded repeatedly, his eyes glowing red. His young female was far too good at flirting; he could barely take it.
"Then agree to one condition. Consider it your punishment, and I’ll let you have your way with me," Si Shuo added with a smile.
Xiao Cheng was conflicted. He didn’t know what the punishment would be, but her offer was far too tempting. ’Besides,’ he thought, ’she dotes on me. When has her punishment ever been more than a slap on the wrist?’
He nodded hesitantly and said through gritted teeth, "Fine. What’s the condition, Sister?"
Si Shuo raised an eyebrow and said nonchalantly, "Turn me into a female rat beastman. Let’s see if you can still bring yourself to make a move then!"
Xiao Cheng sucked in a sharp breath. ’Th-This is a bit difficult. I’m all about looks, just like she is.’ "Si-Sister, I’ve never seen a female rat beastman."
"Dusty-gray hair, rat ears, a pointy, upturned nose, hollow cheeks... ooh, and a long, hairless tail! Just like you used to look. Hurry up and change me," Si Shuo said, nibbling his ear with a smile. "If you can’t do it, then you’ll just have to hold me while you sleep tonight."
That would never do! Reluctantly and deliberately, Xiao Cheng changed her according to her instructions. But he didn’t turn her into the gaunt-faced rat she’d described. Instead, he transformed her into a plump, adorable hamster, silvery-white with hints of grayish-blue.
"Sister is a mouse now, and we of the Three-tailed Fox Clan are the natural enemies of mice. Where should I take my first bite?" Xiao Cheng said, leaning in for a kiss. He grabbed Si Shuo’s hands, stopping them from wandering.
"Mmmph... mmmph..." ’You liar! Where’s the tail? You promised a long, hairless tail!’
As they say, there are always more solutions than problems. A young female this adorable still tugged at Xiao Cheng’s heartstrings. He could never get enough of her soft, pliant body.
When Si Shuo opened her eyes the next morning, she saw Ji Liang watching over her. Smiling, she sat up, took a bite from a Dust Cleaning Talisman, and then threw herself into his arms.
His body felt so cool and comforting. She couldn’t help but snuggle against him again and again.
Amused, Ji Liang wrapped his arms around her and leaned down to feed her a Crystal Stone. In truth, whenever the males fed her Crystal Stones, they would inevitably absorb some of the potent and pure Spiritual Energy within them as well.
After her daily hour of meditative Cultivation and a meal, Ji Liang would carry her to a platform halfway up the mountain, where she would replicate Substitute Pearls and practice her talisman making.
As the saying goes, the morning sets the tone for the day. She had made it a habit to do all her work in the mornings, when she had ample energy, a clear mind, and a pleasant, well-rested mood.
Each of her Beast Husbands at home had a Substitute Pearl, but Si Shuo was still uneasy. She continued to replicate them relentlessly, determined to give each man three to five of them for protection.
When her morning tasks were done, Si Shuo stood up, and Ji Liang was already there to embrace her. He nuzzled her with a soft laugh, then transformed into a massive black snake, carrying her on his head as he slithered steadily through the mountains.
She was no longer afraid of him in the slightest. In fact, she was proud that this great snake was hers; she adored him.
They never stayed idle at home. The autumn vegetables had been planted in the fields, and every day, eggs laid by the chickens, ducks, and geese on Bamboo Forest Mountain were delivered. Si Shuo and Xu Chi would put seventy percent of them directly into their Sumeru Space, while they cured the remaining thirty percent into salted eggs and century eggs. Both the adult males and the cubs in the house loved them.
Because they had the dimensional space, the salted eggs didn’t need to be cured for long. They came out perfectly seasoned, with dense, creamy yolks that oozed fragrant oil. Bamboo Forest Mountain had been built with Crystal Stones, so even the insects there contained faint Spiritual Energy. The poultry and the eggs they laid were full of this spiritual energy, which didn’t dissipate easily, was free of impurities, and was readily absorbed, providing a wonderfully restorative effect.
For the sake of the delicious bamboo, the Iron-eating Beast Clan Members didn’t hesitate to spend most of their monthly salary to maintain Bamboo Forest Mountain. However, the energy they could absorb from the bamboo alone wasn’t very high. Now, the poultry and eggs completely made up for that shortfall.
The restlessness of autumn compounded with her Cat Beastman instincts for her Mating Period, leaving Si Shuo feeling feverish and muddled these past few days. She clung to Ji Liang, unwilling to let go.
"Ji Liang, let’s have a clutch of Snake Cubs, shall we?"
Even with his incredible self-control, Ji Liang’s composure cracked under his young female’s coquettish tone. "Little Shushu, do you have any idea what you’re saying?"
"Of course I do. I want to have Snake Cubs for my Ji Liang. Little cubs just like you—beautiful, smart, coolly aloof, and thoughtful," Si Shuo murmured, nibbling on his chin.
"Hiss... Little Shushu, Snake Cubs might not be fluffy and endearing like other cubs. They could also be cold-natured. They might not even see us as their Father and Mother."
"When they’re small, we would be nothing more than slaves who hunt for them. The moment they can fend for themselves, they will leave without a backward glance, and even..."
Ji Liang couldn’t bring himself to go on.
Si Shuo finished for him. "They might even kill their father to possess their mother, replacing their Father. Is that right?"
Holding her tightly, Ji Liang gave a muffled grunt. "Yes. Young females aren’t cold-blooded like us Rogue Beasts; you’re more forgiving with your own children. Many, many Snake Cubs have taken their Father’s place."
"Ji Liang, our cubs won’t be like that," Si Shuo said, patting his back with a smile. "You’re not the only one with an ancestral legacy; I have a complete one, too. My cubs will be well-mannered and filial, kind and righteous—good cubs who understand the difference between right and wrong!"
Ji Liang froze. "Females have an ancestral legacy, too?"
A cub’s ancestral legacy primarily comes from their Father, containing imprinted knowledge about their clan’s origins, survival, and reproduction. This legacy is what allows cubs to survive on their own, even after leaving their Father.
