Mi Xing clenched her fists. "Si Shuo, I know you’re used to having everything go your way because of your Beast Husbands. But—"

"Oh? Mi Xing, I’ve noticed you seem to like taking in Beast Husbands in pairs, don’t you?" Si Shuo’s question made the color drain from Mi Xing’s face.

"M-Maybe it was too dark... I didn’t get a clear look at who it was. Perhaps... perhaps it wasn’t Gong You," Mi Xing said, gritting her teeth in frustration. She had no choice but to back down for now and leave.

Back in the courtyard, Si Shuo was furious. "Mi Xing is disgusting! Why would she try to latch onto Gong You? Ugh, every time she even mentioned his name, I wanted to slap her again! I should have hit her a few more times."
