A giant snake appears and swallows the frog, Sean’s expression changes, this snake might not be an innate ranker but it exudes a presence the same as the principal.

"We’re retreating." Sean nods at Wuk, the two of them retreats, not even trying to get the corpses of the other frogs.

The soldiers are confused but still follows his instructions, they retreat too.

Sean clicks his tongue. "That snake is quite greedy, we already given it the frogs and yet it’s still chasing us."

He complains as he senses the vibration that was growing stronger.

"Is it really that strong?" Asks the gold ranker, someone like Sean who hunts gold rank mystique creatures shouldn’t be afraid of a gold rank.

"It might be a pseudo innate, not strong enough to cause despair but also not something that I can say we can defeat." He explains.

The expression of the five silver rank soldiers changes, they didn’t expect that they are so unlucky today.

"Go on! The four of us are going to hold that thing back." Sean turns to the gold ranker who nods his head in agreement.

Then, the wolf, the gold ranker, Wuk and Sean stops and turns to face the giant snake.

"A breath attack!" Sean shouts.

Wuk immediately summons his staff and makes it bigger, he stands in front of the group and when the attack was released, he had to take it head on.

"Go!" Sean shouts as the gold ranker, the wolf and Sean dashes towards the giant snake.

Sean’s presence grows stronger.

Metal Coating!

He covers his entire body with aura and then coats his hands with metal element.

Sean was standing in front of the giant snake, his expression is calm while his hand is now in a broken mess.

Cavalry Thrust was unable to even pierce through the scale of his opponent.

The giant snake screeches and dives towards Sean but he was already prepared.

Kicking the ground, he increases the strain of his legs with Yang Body, empowered it with Metal Coating and escapes with Dash.

His hands starts cracking before reverting to it’s original state.

"General, that thing is a lot tougher than expected, that strike of mine had pierced through multiple gold rankers and yet it can’t even make a dent against that fellow." The general listens while looking at his hand with shock.

He has seen a messed up hand reverting to it’s normal state in an instant.

Wuk roars as he thrusts his spear, enlarging as it approaches the giant snake, forming a fist in front of it.

The giant snake was actually faster than it looks, it dodges and once again releases another breath attack.

Sean dashes behind Wuk and stomps hard to the ground, burying his foot, propelling himself forward.

He pushes Wuk.

Wuk knows that it can’t escape the attack, just as he was about to be blown away, he feels someone pushing behind him, giving him strength.

Then a familiar sensation can be felt inside his body.

He roars as tries to push back the power of the attack.

Golden Qi!

Yang energy!

The sun seems to appear above Wuk, he manifested another aura.

The aura of the sun, only those that walks the path of extreme yang can manifest this.

Then, the same green aura that Sean emits when he activates Durability Aura also manifested from Wuk.

The two of them held on, barely.

Sean was relieved but before he can use Intermediate Cultivation Technique to recover, the giant snake releases another attack, a blast of a powerful stream of water flies towards them.

Dash!

Covering his leg with Metal Coating, he grabs Wuk and escapes.

Unfortunately, the stream of water doesn’t end and the giant snake chases after them with it’s water cannon.

A loud howl was heard as the wolf of general tries to bite the scale of the giant snake, only to sparks to fly and it’s fangs unable to pierce through.

The snake ignores it, only focusing at Wuk, it instinctively senses that defeating Wuk will cause the entire group to break down.

"Sh*t! We can’t go on like this!" Sean curses.

Wuk grabs him suddenly and throws him away, he was then blasted away by the stream of water.

"Wuk!" Sean roars as he absorbs the spiritual energy from the air and recovers from his injuries.

He dashes towards the giant snake, intending to punch it with Ultimate Strike.

The giant snake stops it’s attack and summons two large ice blocks and drops it at Sean and the wolf.

Sean dodges the attack with Dash, while the wolf runs away, suddenly, above it, a shadow starts descending.

"Hurry!" Sean roars as his expression changes, the wolf is now in endanger.

Just as the giant snake was about to swallow the wolf, a staff hits it in the face, causing it to be blown away.

Images of it’s own attack, together with a monkey glowing in golden light appears on it’s mind.

Indestructible can absorb the power from the strikes of it’s opponent, Thrust can harness the power of the user, combines the two, Wuk can send the power that he received to any target he chooses, together with his own strength, the power of the strike is devastating.

Sean was gobsmacked, even he had never seen just how strong Wuk truly is. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶

But he quickly recovers. "Retreat! Wuk! Buy us some time!"

Since Wuk is actually strong enough to hurt the giant snake, he decided to have him act as their vanguard, besides, he can escape and return to Beast World if the situation gets really dangerous.

The general whistles as he rides the wolf and escapees together with Sean.

The commotion behind them is still ringing throughout the surrounding.

Sean senses that they are not far from the base and quickly orders Wuk to retreat.

They safely returned back to the base, their hunt was a failure but Sean doesn’t care, with the carcass of the gold rank Soul Devouring Monkey inside Beast World, Jasmine can still use it to level up.

"That was too dangerous, you guys can go back, I’ll wait for my partner." He turns back together with Jasmine but they didn’t left the base.

Sean senses Wuk entering Beast World and smiles, opening a portal in a secluded corner, Wuk comes out with a rather calm expression.

"How are you fine!?" Hearing Sean’s voice, the soldiers who actually didn’t left approached him, when they saw Wuk’s appearance, they are also shocked.

"My body, armour and staff can’t be broken or destroyed, as long as the sun exist above the sky, I’m unkillable." Wuk confidently states.

Sean takes a deep breath, he had forgotten that the path Wuk is striding upon is Unbreakable! He doesn’t need supreme strength or intelligence, he just need to be unkillable.

"Once again, I realize just how much I underestimated that strength of yours." Sean sighs.

"Let’s go." Wuk nods his head, still, he needs to release the power that he received or else he would be unable to increase his tier.

The amount of energy he needs to absorb to increase his tier even just by one is immense.

Sean was deep in thought, if Jasmine would also reach the same grade as Wuk, then, it’ll be difficult for them to quickly advance to gold rank.

One step at a time, he can only ponder about this problem in the future.

"Justin, do you want to come with?" He turns to the only soldiers he’s well acquainted with.

"Yes, young lord." Justin answers respectfully, he’s now certain that this man will be a future innate ranker.

The other soldiers looks at him enviously, especially the gold ranker, he had fought against the giant snake and knows that it was on the verge of becoming an innate.

Still, Wuk managed to returned unharmed, he has also taken multiple hits from that thing and managed to survive.

Sean went to the canteen for a quick lunch, Justin follows him like a loyal servant, causing him to frown.

"You don’t need to act that way towards me, just treat me like before and let’s eat, hopefully the students from City Z2 can join our training." Hearing his words, a thoughtful look appears on Justin.

"Young lord, may I ask a favor from you?" He asks nervously.

Sean stops and looks at him. "Sure, as long as it’s withing my capability, I can agree to your request."

"Thank you, as you know, this base isn’t just for guarding the border but also considered as a school-like society where we train future soldiers that can protect the top ten cities, excluding your city if needed." Sean knows this.

City Z5 is just too unique, it’s location is too far from the border, so the soldiers aren’t able to send reinforcement fast enough.

"Don’t tell me you want me to train them, I’m telling you this upfront, I’m not good at teaching so many pupils at once, I’m more suited at individual training, unearthing the potential of a small number of people, turning them into elites." He explains.

"I know, also, it would be too shameless for me to ask for so much, I only ask if you let them watch and participate in the same sparring matches as those from City Z2."

Sean release a sigh of relief. "Just that, sure, I can agree to that, the more the merrier, my students are not lacking in terms of drive in potential but they are lacking in experience, rather than a favor, your actually helping me."

Justin laughs. "Then for our cooperation!"

The two of them shakes hands as they quickly finish their lunch, they went to the training ground and the people from both City Z2 and Z5 are already there.

"Then, young lord, if you excuse me, I’m going to gather some young ones from my platoon."

Sean stops him. "You can also ask for some of the older ones, as long as they’re only at iron rank, they can join the rest."

Justin pauses before smiling, even though most of the older ones at iron rank are now at logistics, there are still a couple of old folks some of the platoon leaders kept.

"The rest of you already experienced that sensation yesterday, hopefully, your bodies can absorb more energy than yesterday." Sean suddenly pauses.

He turns to Golden with a strange expression.

It had leveled up once again, it’s now one tier higher than Blazing Emperor.

He’s not actually that surprised, after all, compared to what the others experienced yesterday, what Golden had to endure was actually considered as torturous.

"We are joined by the students from City Z2, you guys should be grateful to them." Sean starts clapping as John walks forward.

"John, if there are any bronze ranker amongst you, tell them that they aren’t going to fight against other students but her." He points at Jasmine.

"Don’t worry, she won’t use her strongest skill, she’s a spirit type mystique creature, evolved from a Spirit Fox but you’re going to fight her in close combat." Sean explains.

John’s eyes widens in disbelief, he had seen her growing bigger before but he never expected her to evolved from the harmless Spirit Fox who are known only for their cuteness.
