BEAST TAMING: OTHERS HAVE MAGIC BEASTS, MINE ARE IMMORTAL BEASTS-Chapter 89 - 88 FROGS

Like most mystique creatures, they can grow stronger by devouring humans and their pet beasts.

It’s not their bodies that they are craving but their souls, probably the existence of spiritual link is what they really after.

Sean raises his eyebrow, the level of danger this place has is greater than expected, it’s no wonder why the number of soldiers is so great.

"It’s body is made of crystals strengthened by metal and spiritual energy, it’s one of the toughest mystique creature to kill, not to mention, it’s considered an elemental type, as long as it’s body is connected to the ground, it can gather earth energy to fuel itself."

Sean frowns. "Wait! You mean that this thing is an elemental?"

Jasmine needs mystique creatures that contains large amount of vitality, not elemental energy.

The soldiers nods their head, seeing this, Sean can only sigh.

"Jasmine, stop, we need to choose a different target, this one will not help you level up." Sean stops Jasmine who was furious after being hit.

"Wuk, I Want to feed this thing to Pangaea, would you do the honor?" He turns to Wuk.

Wuk walks towards the mystique creature, he throws it up above and strikes it multiple times, not letting it fall.

"Sorry, we need to continue our hunt, we need a mystique creature that has a physical body full of vitality rather than an elemental type." Sean explains to the soldiers.

ROAR! Just as Wuk was trying to take down his target rather safely, a loud dragon roar appears.

"That roar... A Crystal Dragon! Quick! Throw that thing far away!" The gold ranker shouts.

Without hesitation, Sean follows his advice and have Wuk slap his opponent away.

Sean turns to the gold ranker and they are now hiding in the trees.

Sean gestures for the two to do the same, they are experienced at hunting and they easily blends in the environment.

Just as Sean was curious about what type of mystique creature the Crystal Dragon is, he feels a powerful breath descending from the sky.

A dragon with scales glittering like beautiful crystals appears in the sky.

’Avert your eyes!’ Sean quickly issues a command to both Jasmine and Wuk as the three of them lowers their heads.

The dragon flies to the direction where Wuk slaps his opponent away.

Even after it left, Sean still hadn’t move, he was sweating profusely.

That thing is actually as strong as that man, that only meant one thing.

That Crystal Dragon was an innate creature! He was shocked by how close to death they had just been.

After ten minutes, they finally let go of their vigilance and release a sigh of relief.

"How can something as strong as that roams so close to the base?" He turns to the soldiers and asks.

"That thing feeds on elemental creatures such as Living Crystal, there are many earth type elementals but only a couple of metal types, from time to time, it would even attack our base to devour humans, with it’s strength, it managed to survive an attack against our commander and his pet beast."

The gold ranker explains as he wipes the swear our of his forehead.

Sean becomes silent, this was too much of a shock for him.

"Human lives in this part is really cheap." The soldiers lowers their heads.

They can’t refute his words, they can only clench their fists in anger.

"Let’s continue, I’m changing my plan, since the mystique creatures massacres our people, I’m going to do the same!"

Sean’s eyes burns with killing intent.

After the Crystal Dragon left, all mystique creatures starts roaming finally.

Sean encounters a group of mystique creatures led by a high tier silver rank one.

"Water Glutton Frogs." Sean immediately recognizes them, the Glutton Frog race, a race that has multiple variants.

They adapt to the environment they are born in, transforming their bodies to survive even the extreme weather conditions but one thing’s for certain, they are known to devour nearly every living being they can fit in their mouths.

There are nine of them, clearly the number of mystique creatures in this place is abundant.

Glutton Frogs seldomly gathers together, it’s because they eat everything, including their own, only if prey is abundant will they stay together to hunt more efficiently.

The leader opens it’s mouth and fires it’s tongue at him.

He dodges the attack easily, Jasmine gets angry and slices it’s tongue with her claws.

Wuk looks at them before retreating, his current task right now is to guard the surroundings, least there’ll be another mystique creature going to ambush them.

The other frogs opens their mouths and starts firing waterballs at him.

Sean dodges their attacks before arriving in front one of them and punching it with King Kong Punch!

One Step Strike!

He rarely use this move now that he has the Cavalry Thrust and Flow State but this move can save his energy.

Dealing with bronze rank mystique creatures doesn’t need him to go all out.

The frog he hit was stunned, it’s brain was turned into mush after taking his blow but it wasn’t killed yet.

’As expected of mystique creatures that has tough flesh, they aren’t easy to kill.’ He thought.

Metal Coating!

Steel Barrage!

Covering his fist with metal element, hardening them, then using a standard wide stance increasing his stability and raining down karate jabs at his target.

No matter how tough the frog is, it’s not as tough as his hands.

’One down.’ Sean thought calmly.

He then feels a shadow descending on him, without hesitation, he retreats, only to be struck by multiple waterballs.

Tai Chi Fist Move: Redirect!

Leo’s CQC martial arts has enlightened him, he doesn’t need to mastery every move, he just need to cut them into parts that he can fuse in the future.

He direct the waterball towards a different direction but it seems that his control is not as efficient as he thought.

One Step Strike!

He appears in front of the frog that shot the waterball and slaps his palm into it.

Tai Chi Third Move: Shocking Palm!

Combining Shock with the gentle penetrating force of Tai Chi, he creates this move in order to bypass the outer layer of armor of his opponent and wreck havoc in their innards.

The frog spits out blood, it might had defended on the gentle force that blast his internal organs but the shock was too much for it and it dies.

BOOM! Sean was hit by a tackle but he flips back up without any harm.

This wasn’t his durability, he truly didn’t feel any force.

Tai Chi Second Move: Flow

By limping his body, he can disperse the force thrown at him but he knows that this only work against pure physical attack, if the blow contains vital force, he wouldn’t be able to disperse it.

The frog croaks, confused as to why it’s target wasn’t hurt.

One Step Strike!

It’s body was blown away by the impact, before it can recover, Sean was already in the next strike.

Dash!

Short Elbow Stone Breaking Strike!

BANG! It’s head was shoved into it’s body, it’s dead.

The other frogs starts croaking, trying to crush him with their jump, or hit him with their tackle but they’re unable to even hit him. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎

Tai Chi First, Second and Third Move: Gentle Domain!

Using Redirection to redirect the power of his opponents, empowers the Gentle Palm Strike and together with the movement of a limped body, he hits everything around him, blowing them away.

For others, it looks like he just merely slapped them away while spinning, not knowing the intricacies of this move.

He knows that this move is still at it’s early development phase and doesn’t have enough power to kill these frogs.

Taking a step forward, he arrives in front of the most injured one amongst them and punches it.

King Kong Punch!

His fist seems to dig through the thick muscles of the frog.

It coughs it’s inner organs out.

Just as he killed his fourth frog, the remaining ones fires an acid ball.

Sean quickly realizes that he can’t dodge them, the acid balls are coming from all directions.

It seems that under the threat of death, these Water Glutton Frogs, who are known to practice cannibalism had gained tactic understanding.

He punches the incoming acid balls then with a quick shift, he slices the remaining ones with his elbows.

Shifting Slice!

Leo still hadn’t learned this move because it needs him to quickly shift his position and weight in a sharp manner without hurting his hips.

One Step Strike!

BANG! That was the fifth Water Glutton Frog killed, there are only three frogs remaining.

Charm activate!

Just as the three were about to escape, they stop in their track and tried to capture him with their tongues.

He dodges and dashes towards them.

Dash + King Kong Punch

One Step Strike!

BOOM! The sixth one.

He kicks the last one, when it lands, he was already leaping towards it.

BANG! That was the last one, they are too weak to defend, the Gentle Domain causes their internal organs to ache and together with his attacks, they aren’t able to even defend themselves.

Sean wants to store these frogs inside Beast World but he can’t do that under the gaze of the soldiers, this is the reason why he doesn’t want anyone to come with him.

"I’ll leave these corpses to you guys." Sean smiles, the gold ranker nods his head and summons his pet beasts.

A Living Armor, a large wolf with two enormous fangs, a long limbed creature that looks like a monkey and a large bird.

Sean stares at them and instantly realizes why this man was assigned to him.

His pet beasts are more for hunting rather than leading an army.

A large wolf that can carry him and travel in many environment, the signature mystique creature of their base, a mystique creature that’s clearly born to live in a forest and finally a flying mystique creature for scouting and eye.

Meanwhile, the battle between Jasmine and the high tier silver rank Water Glutton Frog was ongoing.

She isn’t as big as the frog but her attacks packs a punch, she shuffles around it and from time to time, scratch it with her sharp claws.

She growls at her opponent, it’s muscle is too thick for her to penetrate.

She starts moving around it, slashing it with her Crescent Moon Slash but every time her claws came in contact with the frog, a thin blue barrier blocks her attack and the remaining power would bounch back.

"A passive elemental defense stacked together with a passive physical defense made out of vital force."

Sean marvels at how tough the leader of the Water Glutton Frog is.

"Jasmine, I permit you to use everything against this fellow." Hearing this, her eyes lights up.

Illusion! The frog spits out a powerful blast of water towards the illusion.

Jasmine climbs on top of its body and before it can react, she scratches it’s eye.

CROAK!

A loud cry that pushes her away appears, an active sound based attack.

Jasmine once again creatures an illusion before throwing a rock towards the frog.

It opens it’s mouth and coils it around the rock, clearly mistaking it for Jasmine.

Hypnosis + Illusion.

It made the sensation and scene much more realistic.

Just as it was about to pull the rock into it’s body, Jasmine leaps in front of him and fires a Yin Energy Sphere directly into it’s mouth.

BOOM! The frog tumbles down as it feels it’s internal body jumbling.

Jasmine might not be as strong as them physically but her intelligence and cunningness has always been equal or even greater than Sean.
