Beast Evolution System: Devourer of Heaven-Chapter 321: First Step

A world summit was called where they discussed the next step. There he informed everybody of what he learnt.

The world was not in immediate danger at least not at a level they couldn’t handle. The barrier would prevent anybody above rank 5 from coming in.

While those from earth can still reach higher levels, if they do and leave this world they won’t be able to come back until the barrier let up.

The meeting lasted three days and they formed a proper government this time with both beasts and human representative.

Naturally, people, including him wouldn’t just let their kingdoms go, the government was more of an allied nations.

They formulated laws, a common and proper currency for the whole world. They were also going to build schools, etc.

With everything done he went back to his minor world but Naledi did not come with him.

She went to her own city to sort things out. Ved had nothing to do for the time being other than eat.

He was trying to gather as many points as possible without damaging the entire ecosystem of earth.

While bored to hell a familiar person showed up. It was Asoris and with her she brought two things.

One was a golden tooth and the other was a skin scroll that had a map. The map was huge.

It showed a path to a spot marked x. " What’s this?" He asked.

Asoris smiled softly and seductively. " It’s a map to what you need most or will need most I’m not really sure I was just told to tell you that.

Also I’m not really allowed to stay here, the battle at the edge of Pangera is brutal, it’d only been a few days but damn those things are impatient."

Before he could ask her what she was talking about she disappeared like a puff of smoke.

He sighed and looked at the map once more then closed it. He took the tooth and ate it, he knew exactly what it was.

’3/4? That isn’t bad, I guess this map will lead me to the last fragment, I wonder what they do.’

Looking at the map he felt an overwhelming desire to leave plus, outside he might find more prey and evolve faster.

After spending a few days organising and preparing for his departure he went to inform Naledi.

He had no idea how long he would be gone for and didn’t want to leave without saying goodbye.

However he should’ve expected her reaction.

" Absolutely not." Ved couldn’t help but shake his head

" It wasn’t exactly a question mister, I’m coming with, whether you like it or not."

He sighed, " You have responsibilities here, people who depend on you not to mention I don’t know how dangerous this trip will be."

She laughed straight to his face, " Dangerous? Sweetie perhaps you’ve forgotten but anything that can threaten me will definitely kill you."

He grinned, " You highly underestimate my ability to survive." They went back and forth and eventually he gave up.

He knew he couldn’t change her mind and she was coming with him. He informed the others.

His people were both sad and worried, they’ve grown to depend on him a bit too much.

" This will be good for them." Naledi whispered to his ear while they were having drinks at a party.

The news of the two of them leaving had spread throughout the entire world and everybody decided to send them a farewell party.

The entire world was celebrating as if it was a holiday. Bards wrote songs of a journey yet taken and sorrows of those forced to remain waiting.

Ved and Naledi thought nothing of it until the song spread through the entire world. Children and the old were singing it.

It was embarrassing to the two of them but they had to admit, it was a very good song. Pulse with a few other musicians made it even more perfect.

Time passed, they decided to stay for an extra month before leaving. During that month Ved was experimenting with his ability of transformation.

Transforming into a human took too much mental energy to maintain, to lessen the burden he chose to use the same method as the other beasts.

While they do it to preserve essence energy he did it to preserve mental energy but the principle was the same.

Keep part of his true self unchanged, he chose to keep his tail, horns and dragon eyes.

He also made himself a bit taller standing at 2.5 metres tall. The rest of his body besides hands and face was covered by scales.

On his face there were also a few black scales on each side that made him look even more handsome.

Since his body would be covered by his clothing it didn’t matter that he was also covered in scales.

And he can also retract them whenever he wanted. Somebody came to summon him just as he was about to be done admiring himself.

" My lord, the lady is about to undergo her tribulation." The man informed him. Ved rushed out to the North pole.

There she sat crossed legged at the centre of the ice continent. Black clouds danced above her like a pool of black water.

Lightning flickered and danced like snakes through the pool of clouds. Not a single bolt was a normal tribulation lightning.

The weakest was the first order extinguishing tribulation lightning but there were tiny flickers of the thirds order extinguishing tribulation lightning as well.

The first bolt fell, Naledi dealt with it quite easily and quickly. The second to fifth were no different.

Having learnt to use her divine flames second order extinguishing tribulation lightning was no longer an issue for her.

On the sixth bolt the tribulation changed and a spear wielding man made entirely of red third order extinguishing tribulation lightning appeared.

His battle with Naledi shook the sky and the entire continent of ice cracked. It healed itself rapidly after.

This tribulation had 9 attacks, she had already dealt with six without suffering a single wound, not even a scratch.

Her divine flames made it possible for her to harm the lightning itselt. The power of a divine flame was still as impressive as ever.

She faced the rest of the tribulation valiantly and never backed down, not that she could. The number of lightning warriors increased with each bolt.

By the ninth she was facing four, the spear wielding man, a whip wielding woman, a scythe wielding man and a swordman.

All of them with enough power to give Ved trouble but she faced them alone and came out on top, with only a few scratches.

She did not even have to use her Valkyrie form to face this tribulation, he realised her power had grown much more than he expected.

After her tribulation they rested for a week, for somebody like her. It will take years for her realm to stabilise.

She decided they would leave before then against his protest. They stood Infront of the barrier looking out into a world of tall trees and mountain.

Even without being told, they knew this was an elven world. The entirety of earth sang a song of a fruitful journey for them, invigorating their spirits.

Their voices pierced through the void wishing them a farewell. Even so far away Ved and Naledi could feel their sadness and worry.

The world hummed a tune for their king and queen as they were to embark on their journey, the two of them felt peaceful knowing they had support back home.

They held hands and for the first time left the bounds of their world.
