Awakening The Only SSS-Rank Class! Now Even Dragons Obey Me-Chapter 690: Apologize Right Now
That massive mass of purple flames was so powerful that it practically burned the space-time in its path and left nothing behind.
Even with all his strength, Daniel did not have the slightest chance to react. He was certain that the flames would not only hit him but would definitely kill him, because he felt that even his soul had no safety against them.
However, when he opened his eyes, he found himself alive. Ash and smoke had filled the entire area, and it was hard to see anything around him.
There was no longer any trace of those flames.
"Thank you."
The only one standing in front of him was Evangelin. It was not hard to understand that this woman had saved his life.
Evangelin did not respond. Her cold face was fixed on the Tenth Elder. As the smoke and ash cleared, it became clear that Daniel was still unharmed and alive.
"What did you just do?!" The First Elder shouted angrily and stood between the furious dragon and Daniel.
"Move aside! That bastard human attacked my son and almost killed him! He must pay the price!" the Tenth Elder said with intense killing intent.
His eyes had turned bloodshot, and the entire space around him was shaking as if it could collapse at any moment.
"You’d better calm down! We can’t let you harm him!" The Sixth Elder, the Third Elder, and the other Elders all moved toward Daniel and stood in front of him to protect him.
The Tenth Elder’s eyes became even more furious. At any moment, it looked like he might explode with rage and fight all of them.
Why are these bastards protecting a human? He could not understand it. Instead of helping him kill this wild human, they were standing against him!
Could it be that this human had hypnotized all of them? Or used some kind of item to control their minds? Otherwise, how was it possible that they were trying to protect a human?
"Get out of the way! Or I’ll attack you too!" he shouted with killing intent and prepared to attack again.
"I don’t know what exactly happened, but let’s first listen to what he has to say. I’m sure he had a good reason for whatever he did," the First Elder said seriously.
The other Elders were all ready to defend Daniel against this fool who seemed to have lost his mind.
When Evangelin saw that nine Elders were protecting Daniel, she lowered her hand. She had also been ready to attack at any moment and, if necessary, even kill the Tenth Elder.
Under no circumstances would she allow anything to happen to this boy.
"Have you all gone mad? Why are you trying so hard to protect him?!" the Tenth Elder roared angrily.
"Because he carries the bloodline of the Fallen God," the First Elder said directly, no longer hiding it.
"Huh?" The Tenth Elder suddenly fell silent and stared at them and then at the human in disbelief. He felt like he had misheard.
"He is the heir of the Fallen," the Sixth Elder explained again.
"But that’s impossible. The Fallen has no descendants." Even so, it was hard for him to believe.
"He truly has the blood of the Fallen God. We confirmed it ourselves," the Third Elder said.
After hearing that confirmation, the hostile atmosphere greatly subsided. It did not disappear completely, but it weakened significantly, and it seemed that the Tenth Elder’s anger also faded.
He stopped his killing intent and all preparations to attack, and simply stared at Daniel, as if trying to confirm it himself.
Seeing that it was now his turn, Daniel stepped forward. Evangelin glanced at him and moved aside, though she followed closely behind him.
Then he raised his palm, from which blood was still dripping, and showed it to the massive and furious dragon.
"It really is him... it really is the blood of the Fallen," the Tenth Elder muttered in disbelief. With that final confirmation, the hostile atmosphere completely disappeared.
Any sign of hostility vanished into thin air.
Daniel used the opportunity to fully and clearly explain what had happened in the restaurant.
"So it was my son’s fault," the Tenth Elder sighed. His son had told a completely different story.
"That idiot son of yours even dared to attack my daughter!" the Third Elder glared at him angrily.
"I’ll make sure to punish him when I return home."
"That’s not enough. I agreed to the engagement because it seemed that your son liked my daughter. If he is going to hurt my daughter, this engagement will be canceled!" the Third Elder said seriously.
The Tenth Elder fell silent and said nothing. He could only let out a sigh.
"Anyway, now that the truth is clear, how about we return to the more important matter?" Daniel looked at all of them and said.
They nodded.
"Before that, this old man should apologize to you right now" Evangelin said, clearly not satisfied yet.
"It’s really not necessary. As long as the hostility is gone, that’s enough," Daniel turned and looked at her. He was truly happy about her concern for him, but he did not want more trouble.
"No, this girl is right. I must apologize. I sincerely apologize for what just happened," the Tenth Elder said and slightly lowered his head, apologizing from the bottom of his heart.
Daniel laughed and accepted his apology. It seemed that these dragons also had a kind side. Of course, he knew that the only reason they were willing to show him this much respect was because he was the heir of the Fallen.
Without that status, no matter who he was, these dragons would have looked at him with contempt and indifference and would not even have been willing to speak to him.
"Now you have the approval of all ten Elders to enter the Ancient Trial. Only the Empress remains," the First Elder said.
"She told me to first gain your approval and then meet her at the end," Daniel added.
"Then you should go see her now, because opening the gates of the Ancient Trial requires some effort," the Third Elder said.
"Go speak with her. In a few hours, we will head to the place where the trial is located. Our presence is also required to open it," the First Elder said, then spread his wings and left.
The other dragons did not waste any more time and left one by one, except for the Sixth Elder, who seemed to have something to say before leaving.
"The Ancient Trial of the dragons was designed only for dragons. It would be better if the other dragons do not find out that you are human. Otherwise, it could cause a huge uproar." He then took out two robes and threw them toward them.
"By wearing these robes, you will emit the scent of dragons. It will be enough to fool the younger dragons."
"Thank you very much. But will the other dragons come to watch?" Daniel asked as he put on the robe.
"You will understand soon," the Sixth Elder said with a laugh before leaving.
Evangelin and Daniel looked at each other and then headed toward the Empress’s palace. Aside from informing her, they also needed to check on Finn’s condition.
