Awakening the Daily Intelligence System-Chapter 772 - : 327
Chapter 772: 327
In order to get to the amusement park sooner, Serafina ate her meal at lightning speed. Meanwhile, Lin Mo, eager to rid himself of this little witch, ate even faster than she did.
And so, the meal was done in just ten minutes, and the two hurriedly left the restaurant. After stepping out, they walked toward the bus stop, boarded a bus heading to the amusement park, and embarked on their journey with excitement in their hearts…
The Los Angeles North Suburb Amusement Park was situated in the outskirts of the city. The atmosphere there couldn’t be described as lively, but neither was it completely desolate. Years ago, this land had been nothing but barren wilderness, overrun with wild grass. However, as Los Angeles’s urban development expanded outward, the area saw a rise in popularity, becoming increasingly active. Shack after shack emerged, home to those surviving at the bottom rungs of society—a mix of all types of folks, swirling in complexity. It was baffling how the developers came up with the idea to build an amusement park in such a peculiar location.
When Lin Mo and Serafina reached the North Suburb Amusement Park, the sight in front of them left them utterly dumbfounded. The entrance of the amusement park was overgrown with patches of fresh green grass, and hidden among the weeds, a couple of stray cats could be seen frolicking faintly. A gentle breeze swept through the area, highlighting the stark bleakness, utterly devoid of the lively cheer you’d expect from an amusement park.
Lin Mo stared at the scene before him, his mind temporarily failing to process it. If not for Serafina repeatedly assuring him this was indeed the amusement park, he would absolutely have thought they had arrived at a haunted house instead.
“Are you sure this is the place? Why aren’t we going to Disneyland?” Lin Mo asked Serafina again, a trace of doubt flickering in his eyes.
“Yes.” Serafina nodded lightly, her eyes gleaming with an unfathomable aura.
Seeing Serafina’s resolute attitude, Lin Mo decided not to press further. The two waded through the weed-infested parking lot, bought two tickets from an elderly gentleman at the ticket booth, and walked straight into the rust-covered, dilapidated gates of the amusement park.
Upon entering, the sights within were even more disappointing. The park was filled with old-fashioned amusement rides: a carousel buried under layers of dust, seemingly unused for ages; bumper cars missing their steering wheels, utterly unusable; a pirate ship with chipping paint, looking downright decrepit.
Likely due to the lack of visitors, despite it being operational hours, more than half of the park’s attractions were closed.
Serafina didn’t seem to be here to enjoy the rides, though. From the moment she stepped inside, her little head kept swiveling, as though searching for something peculiar.

Without saying a word, Lin Mo didn’t mind keeping to himself, trailing leisurely behind Serafina. In the silence, he mentally called forth the luminous interface that only he could see:
[Name: Lin Mo]
[Constitution: 50]
[Intelligence: 85]
[Remaining Points: 2785]
[Special Abilities: Eye of Death God, Yong Chun Boxing (Master Level)]
[Owned Items: Sea Needle Scene Card x1]
After three live-stream judgment sessions, Lin Mo had accumulated a total of 2785 points. Eyeing these stats, Lin Mo opened the system shop to browse items he could exchange for with his points.
Max-Level Body Enhancement Card: 2000 points.
Battle Royale Scene Card (up to 100 participants): 5000 points.
Transform into Death God (limited to one live stream): 8000 points.
…
Lin Mo only browsed two pages before silently closing the interface.
Originally, he thought his nearly three thousand points were considerable, but now he realized that they only sufficed to buy a Max-Level Body Enhancement Card. There was still quite a distance to go before he could afford the large-scale Scene Cards.
Just as Lin Mo felt a hint of disappointment over his points, a sudden shout snapped him out of his thoughts.
“Hey! Who are you?! Didn’t you see the sign that says ‘Visitors Prohibited’?!”
Lin Mo followed the voice, spotting a stick-thin young man in a floral shirt and baggy shorts. His feet were clad in sandals, and he strode toward them. The man sized up Lin Mo and Serafina with a scornful gaze, waving his hand dismissively like shooing flies, saying, “Leave, leave, this isn’t a place for you to be.”
The badge on the man’s chest indicated he was an employee there.
Hearing the man’s words, Lin Mo reflexively looked up and realized, without noticing, Serafina had led him to a two-story building.
The small building was visibly worn-down. Its once-white walls had turned into a grimy yellow-gray, adding to its dilapidation. The building’s few windows were covered by uneven brown planks, making it impossible to see inside.
Surrounding the building was a courtyard enclosed by roughly stacked stone bricks. The rusted courtyard gate had one side hanging ajar, and the young man had evidently just emerged from there.
“Isn’t this supposed to be the haunted house? Why won’t you let us in?” Serafina asked, her face etched with confusion.
“No means no! Don’t ask why! Get lost already!”
From the man’s impatient demeanor, he seemed preoccupied and rapidly urged Lin Mo and Serafina to leave.
“If we can’t go in, then let’s head somewhere else,” Lin Mo suggested, uninterested in creating unnecessary conflict.
“Alright.”
Serafina nodded, pouting her lips in reluctance before turning away and stomping back toward the direction they had come.
Seeing the pair leave, the young man also turned back, hastily heading into the courtyard.
However, just as the man reached the building door and was about to step inside, Lin Mo inadvertently glanced back, activating the Eye of Death God instantly.
[Name: Zhao Chao]
[Remaining Lifespan: Thirty-four years]
[Constitution: 65]
[Intelligence: 53]
[Sin Value: 73]
Seeing the man’s Sin Value, a flash of cold light streaked across Lin Mo’s eyes.
It seemed tonight’s work was lined up—this Zhao Chao might just be the next target for judgment…
Lin Mo quietly fixed his gaze on the two-story building, his eyes radiating an icy chill that could seemingly freeze the air itself. Having already decided on his course of action regarding Zhao Chao, Lin Mo began mentally plotting his next move as they approached the amusement park’s entrance.
At that moment, a woman in her thirties suddenly rushed out of the woods by the roadside. Her striking red dress was dazzling under the sunlight as her cascading black hair fluttered with her movements. Her high heels clicked sharply against the pavement, sounding hurried.
With an imposing air, the woman stormed over to Lin Mo and Serafina, yanking Serafina behind her. Her large eyes, which bore a resemblance to Serafina’s, glared at Lin Mo with fierce vigilance and hostility as she snarled, “Who the hell are you? Why are you following my daughter?!”
Then, turning to face Serafina, she grabbed the girl’s shoulders tightly, concern etched deep into her features as she asked, “Sweetheart, has he done anything immoral or hurtful to you?”
“Liu Tailan! Don’t lump me in with your own filthy assumptions! Big Brother and I are just normal friends, nothing more!”
Serafina shot Liu Tailan a furious glare, her eyes practically ablaze with rage at the woman’s baseless accusations.
Hearing Serafina’s retort, Liu Tailan’s expression abruptly froze. A fleeting trace of sorrow crossed her eyes but was quickly masked. Taking a deep breath, she turned back to face Lin Mo, her visage composed once again.
