Awakened: Evolving to Godhood-Chapter 193: Breaking the Barrier’s Wall!
Chapter 193: Breaking the Barrier's Wall! ƒ𝓇e𝙚𝔀𝐞𝚋𝓃𝐨𝘷e𝙡.𝒄𝗼m
“Oh, yes!”
Undoubtedly, Elliot used his authority over life to suck the life out of the carcass belonging to the demonic magic grandmaster. Under the watchful eyes of the majestic beasts, Benjamin’s corpse dried up, and at the same time, warmness crept into Elliot, causing his cheeks to flush red. The drastic changed once again shocked the beasts. However, Elliot didn’t care and merely indulged himself in the warmness.
Benjamin’s body had many units of the essence of life as he was a serpentine devil, and thus, ?Elliot ended up gaining several thousand units.
What he wasted on Benjamin had come back to him along with a nice sum of interest—he amused himself while looking at the skinny corpse whose neck remained held in his hand.
With a somewhat disgusted but mostly pleased look on his face, Elliot jerked his hand with enough force to throw the corpse down the cliff. His body would’ve become great nourishment for his undead brothers; however, he threw Benjamin’s corpse away because the person was so filthy that he didn’t want his undead pets and his undead brother to eat him. He feared that they might be contaminated. Now, no one would want their loved ones to eat contaminated meat—the same goes for Elliot.
He smacked the dirt off his hand and turned around, only to see many pairs of eyes looking at him like he was the devil!
“What are you guys looking at?!” He said in a somewhat playful nothing.
“Ah, nothing!” Grace answered in place of all the beasts.
Elliot ordered them to hurry up and wrap up this place. The body of the serpentine devils had the blessing and curse of the serpent in them, so eating them was a big fat no. Although the undead could eat such accursed things without trouble, living beasts shouldn’t consume them as the curse might harm them, encroaching on their vitality. Grace conveyed his worries to the beasts, who roared back in gratitude, telling him that they wouldn’t eat them and that they were thankful for his timely warning.
“Ptui!”
Those beasts who had already taken a bite or two started to spit out in disgust, looking extremely silly and cute.
Elliot couldn’t help but laugh while pointing at them.
“You stupid fools! Defecate somewhere else!”
The Guardians scolded the fools for acting disgraceful and ordered them to go spit out what’s in their tummies somewhere else. With head lowered in defeat, the beasts went down the cliff and somewhere isolated to continue their business.
“Did you find out any clue to shattering the barrier?” Grace asked.
The four guardian beasts of the nightmare zone also stared at Elliot with expectations in their eyes.
“Yes,” Elliot said, and their eyes immediately lit up. “There’s an item within this cliff that is sustaining one of the five walls of the barrier that is covering the entire forest. As soon as we break it, the barrier’s wall enclosing the nightmare zone will shatter, and we will be free to go in and out of this place.”
Grace smiled happily. There was no change in the expression of the guardians. It was because they weren’t able to understand him, but once she translated what he said into the soul language, their eyes too flashed a smile, and an eager look appeared on their face.
“Then, let’s look for it.”
“Wait! I will trouble you and the elders to first bring the intact crystal to me.”
The beasts got to work. It only took them ten minutes to overturn the cliff and find the crystal. Talk about being handy—these beasts were extremely useful! Sadly, Elliot knew he couldn’t have them all. However, he wasn’t going to let go of Grace since she was already in his hand.
“Here you go.” Grace floated back to him, placing the crystal a step away from him.
“God’s right Eye of Wisdom!”
He lowered his head to look at it with a scrutinizing gaze. A lot of information flooded his mind, ingraining with his memory. The crystal was 5-meter tall and extremely shiny. It was a huge lump of condensed magic energy mixed with hundreds of liters of human blood! There were several marks on it, one that appeared like scribbles drawn by a child. However, Elliot could tell that they were inscription patterns, runes that the alchemist of the Academy used to make the Return Magic Scroll!
The serpentine devils used the blood of an uncountable number of humans to make this, and that sickened even Elliot. He felt anger festering in his guts. Was being weak a sin? Why must the strong kill people who can’t even wield magic energy for their selfishness? What was the magician academy doing while the devils killed so many humans? What the hell is wrong with this world? Why is it so unfair and crazy?!
There were four more like this, meaning five thousand humans were killed and extracted of their blood!
“What a disturbing thing.” Elliot stretched his right hand and pointing his palm at it. The beasts looked at him, wondering what he was going to do next. A large amount of spiritual energy flooded out of his palm, smashing into it, causing it to burst apart. In the very next moment, two things happened.
Lucy, Arthur, and the others who were below the cliff, as well as the beasts who were above it or in the jungle taking a shit, saw a blue wall appearing in the sky. Then, it rippled, thousands of cracks appearing on it. Finally, it shattered like the magic crystal, sharp glass-like shards cascading down the sky and onto the ground.
The beasts rejoiced as they could tell that they were finally free to go in and out of the nightmare zone.
The same went for the humans, and Julian even pulled out her lifesaving treasure, wanting to escape this place. However, Arthur stopped her.
“It would be better to go after informing Elliot.”
She reluctantly put it back.

Meanwhile, a few notifications popped up in Elliot’s mind while he was out of his mind.
