Chapter 204: “I Bet It’s Your Son Kicking Up Trouble!” (1)
Ever since she experienced first-hand how impressive Chen Sinan’s “fighting capacity” was, Xin Siyue became extra cautious around him. For example, she
refused to deliver food to the company again. No matter how he coaxed her with sweet words, she warned herself to not be swayed.
God knew how guilty Assistant Wang’s meaningful stare had made her feel when she walked out of Chen Sinan’s office that day. Her face had turned
completely red.
However, though she could avoid it in the daytime, she was helpless at night.
When late May came around, Xin Siyue found that her stamina could no longer keep up with his. Therefore, she could only hug his arm and plead in a
childish spoiled manner, telling him that she was very busy with work during the day and wanted to rest at night.
Chen Sinan considered it for a while before agreeing. However, there was one condition: “Then in the future, you have to compensate me.”
When was “the future”? Xin Siyue didn’t know. One should live in the present, so she hurriedly nodded. “Okay, I’ll always listen to you in the future.” After that,
she was able to get a few rare days of full rest.
It wasn’t until early June that she suddenly noticed Chen Sinan’s interest in those activities had declined. When they were both in the mood, he would kiss
her or start to touch her, but he never took it any further than that.
Even if the two of them were heavily panting and bothered, he would still somehow manage to control himself and drag his body into the bathroom for a
cold shower. Eventually, his restraint caused her to feel concerned.
One day after she finished conducting an interview and was waiting below a staircase for her colleagues, Xin Siyue happened to bump into Sheng Wenyang.
So enemies really do meet on a narrow road.
Sheng Wenyang was wearing a plain off-shoulder dress. Though her complexion was a little haggard, it was easy to see that she was in high spirits. Beside
her stood a short-haired woman wearing black dress pants and a blue off-shoulder blouse.
When Sheng Wenyang saw Xin Siyue from a distance, she stood dazed for a moment before walking over.
“What a coincidence, Miss Xin,” she greeted her with a smile.
Xin Siyue didn’t want to get involved with Sheng Wenyang, so she only smiled faintly and didn’t say much.
Sheng Wenyang paid her attitude no heed and turned her head to say a few words in English to the woman beside her. Xin Siyue understood, “Do you
know who she is? She’s Chen Sinan’s wife, your nominal lady boss.”
The woman looked surprised, then she smiled at Xin Siyue and said in Chinese, “So you’re Miss Xin. I’ve heard a lot about you from A’Nan.”
A’Nan?
Suddenly, Xin Siyue smiled. “Miss Sheng, and this unknown miss, I’m sure you’re aware that ‘miss’ is used to refer to an unmarried woman. As the two of you
know, I am married to Chen Sinan. Please call me ‘Mrs. Chen’ from now on, otherwise my husband might get upset.”
The short-haired woman slightly raised an eyebrow while Sheng Wenyang maintained her smile. “Xin Siyue. You may not know, but she is a genius
designer scouted by Chen Sinan from abroad. When he left the country a few years ago, one of the reasons was to bring her back to China.”
Xin Siyue’s eyes flashed, and she didn’t speak.
Sheng Wenyang went on. ”Coincidentally, she and I graduated from the same college. We were even close friends.”
“Wow, birds of a feather really do flock together. You both like Chen Sinan too, so as fellow sufferers, I’m sure you can comfort each other well,” Xin Siyue
laughed.
After saying that, she couldn’t be bothered to see their reactions. “Please make yourselves at home here, I won’t be staying to accompany you,” she tossed
over her shoulder before leaving.
As she strode away on her high heels, with her chin held high, she suddenly felt dizzy. Her abdomen was also uncomfortable.
