With the complete activation of the last move in the Fire and Ice Fusion Wheel Physique's moveset, Yennefer exploded out with a mind-boggling level of brilliantly glowing blue and red energy.

*Bam, Bam!*

Because of the joint efforts of both the Golden-flaked Earth Dragons and Yennefer, the cave felt like it was on the verge of collapse. Golden coins jingled and were tossed around, with high-quality pills being juggled like common, everyday trash.

However, in that moment—for the two opposing sides—it was as if everything outside of their battle had ceased to exist.

And for an instant—when three simultaneous beams of destructive golden energy and Yennefer clashed—time seemed to come to a stop. A total freeze-point moment—one that mirrored the rapid coalescence of the golden beams and Yennefer's Treasured Sword. A powerful Early Sky-rank weapon fully capable of withstanding and utilizing the complete extent of its owner's new form and fusion power.

Yet…

CRACKA—BOOOOOM!!!

Following a huge explosion that sent Yara flying backward and gold coins into oblivion, it became abundantly clear who the winner of their short, breath-stopping exchange was.

*Kuk! Kuk!*

Coughing up blood, a badly injured Yennefer knelt against her glistening icy-blue sword. From it, one could see the look of immense disappointment painted across its owner's bloodied face.

Disappointment that originated from her inability to keep her promise to Yara. A promise that had yet to be broken but would soon be, for she knew precisely what came next.

Yara knew it too…

'I should back up the b*tch now… ??? Wait…!'

Before Cela could move on her intuition, she saw something that stopped her in her tracks.

"Y-Yinny…" Yara despairingly murmured while reaching her hand out in Yennefer's direction. "It'll… It'll be okay… It's not your faul—"

"!!!"

Before Yennefer could muster up the strength to stop it from happening, it was already far too late…

CHOMP!

Shadowing the cruel, gruesome sight before her, all the color in Yennefer's face washed away. An empty husk she became, with one of the last things anchoring her to any sort of emotion vanishing forever. Leaving this world right before her eyes—as if mocking her for being unable to do a single damn thing to prevent it from happening.

*Crunch, Crunch.*

After finishing up their snack, the Earth Dragons ominously approached the last surviving humans. Freshly drawn blood still dripped from their mouths as their massive shadows loomed over the distraught Yennefer and the stunned Cela.

Then it happened.

*Drop!*

A drop.

A warm, crimson-colored drop of blood.

And along with it the entire world came crashing down on Yennefer. No longer able to prop herself up anymore, she collapsed to the cold, hard floor. Short, bated breaths left her mouth in slow-burst succession.

The reality of it all was still settling in—a reality that she so much wanted to be a nightmare.

But no. This was her reality. The result of being too useless to keep something as simple as a promise. The result of being too… weak.

'The Whor… Yennefer…'

Cela made a mistake. Had a lapse in judgement.

She got so caught up with Yennefer's situation that she completely overlooked the existence of the other person…

But now, it no longer mattered. The damage was done. There was no turning back time.

She could only hope that this didn't damage her relationship with her Darling any more than it already was…

'Weakness.' Yennefer's thoughts began to spiral, her pupils and irises darkening. 'It's a sin. A primordial sin. And because of my own weakness, one of the only things keeping me grounded—died.'

"Never again," were the words that left her blood-filled mouth. "Never again."

OOOM!

Just as a Golden-flaked Earth Dragon went to devour its next delectable piece of prey, a massive eruption of Fire and Ice Elements volcanoed out from Yennefer. It pushed back all three of the monsters, sending them smashing into a golden-plated wall. Huge dents formed where they hit—and those dents only became larger and larger as the incomprehensible aura leaking from Yennefer increased in intensity.

Wishing to rectify some of her mistakes, Cela lashed out with a shadowy, tendril-covered blade. But upon seeing the tremendous changes occurring to Yennefer, she stopped herself.

Now that things had come to this, it was best to see how things played out until she really had no choice but to interfere…

"ROOOAAARGGHHH!!"

The Earth Dragons eventually broke through the pressure pushing them into the wall, but by that point, the source of the pressure had already solidified herself—her newfound power.

A Heaven-ranked Physique.

The Yin-Yang Elemental Frame Physique.

It was born as a result of Yennefer's emotions surging out of control. Moreover, it was the upgraded version of the Fire and Ice Fusion Wheel. This meant that its power was not only of similar origins but also a direct improvement, meaning that adjusting to the Physique took no time at all.

"Never again," Yennefer repeated like a broken track record, her face shrouded by grimly conceived shadows. "Never again."

WAAA!!

Blue, red, and black rings materialized above her head, each representing a higher synchronicity with the Elements of Fire and Ice as well as the… Law of Death. Together, the power they emanated was enough to make the Golden-flaked Earth Dragons feel something. Something other than pain or arrogance. Or the thrill of the hunt.

Fear.

Genuine fear.

They feared not the cultivation base of Yennefer or even her newly evolved Physique. Rather, it was the lack of humanity and emotion seen on her darkened face that truly frightened the Earth Dragons.

It was as if the frail human girl before them was willing to go to any lengths in order to make sure… she was the last one standing.

Then Yennefer blurred.

Reacting on instinctual fear, the Golden-flaked Earth Dragons darted their eyes around. But in the end, their attempts at locating her bore no fruit.

However, it was when they blinked that something changed. Not just physically—it was the atmosphere that changed. And from this change emerged a searing chilliness that bombarded the Earth Dragons from all sides.

By the time they realized what had happened, pillars of flames and glaciers of ice had already trapped them in place. They struggled but knew within an instant that they were immobilized. And it was in that instant that a sword slash containing the slightest sliver of Death Law pierced through the middle—through the Fire and Ice attacks.

"ROAAAAGHH—!!"

Accompanied by an ear-splitting, anguished roar was the death of the middle-most Earth Dragon. Its head had exploded like a watermelon, with the rest of its body going limp. A Nascent Soul tried to escape, but a string of Death Law erased it from existence.

"Never again," Yennefer said coldly, her robotically moving figure phasing in and out of the stream of volatile elements. Using them as camouflage, she remained hidden. And all while firing off sword slash after sword slash at the last two Earth Dragons.
