"Y...Young Master...! Ahhh!"

"W-What did we do to deserve this, Young Master!? N-No, please—!!"

Two more shrill screams rang out as liters of blood splattered across the Gold and the Treasury Room.

Horror engulfed the wills of many as they fled in the same direction that Harlow was heading in. Like previous times, the only ones who stayed behind were the stone-faced Yennefer, the murderous Cela, and the hesitant Yara.

Luckily for them, this was the correct choice to make, for the Earth Dragons targeted the ones closest to the exit first. Cries and blood-curdling screams bounced off the walls for a few seconds before... coming to a complete stop.

*Thud, Thud, Thud!*

But with the slow, booming steps of the Earth Dragons serving as a grim reminder of impending doom, terror ran rampant inside of Yara. The hand she used to hold onto Yennefer's robes shakily tightened, her terrified voice coming out accompanied by tremors:

"I...I don't want to die..." she mumbled, her breath heavy. "Y-Yenny... Please don't let me die..."

"Don't worry," Yennefer said in a reassuring tone, gently rubbing her head. "I won't let anything happen to you."

'Should I assist the floozy?' Cela thought in the background, her eyes like bottomless abysses. 'Darling will be mad if I don't—'

Before she could finish that thought:

OOOM!

Half of Yennefer's long, flowing hair remained red, whereas the other half turned a light shade of blue. A radiant fire-and-ice ring formed behind her—spinning at a size approximately four meters in length.

The Fire and Ice Fusion Wheel!

Like many other Manifestation Physiques, the Fire and Ice Fusion Wheel was one capable of being outwardly manifested—an act that not only tripled one's power when active but also reduced the strength of everyone in its vicinity.

"Fire and Ice Wheel: 1st Fusion - Tundra Burn Circle!"

A circle of fire and ice immediately spread out from Yennefer, surrounding the three Earth Dragons and trapping them inside it.

Yet that wasn't the end of her attacks...

"Fire and Ice Wheel: 2nd Fusion - Infernal Frostbite!"

SHA!

Massive combinations of fire and ice materialized around the Earth Dragons in the form of needles. After tens of thousands of them came to be, they shot forward, penetrating the skin of the monsters. Though they didn't sink very deep due to the toughness of their scales, it was still enough to send a chain reaction of fire and ice bursts throughout the outer skin layers of the Earth Dragons.

"ROOOAAARGGHHH!!!"

Their roars reverberated—resonating with the incredible amount of pain they were feeling.

Never in their long, arrogant lives had they ever believed that they'd one day be injured. And pain—an unfamiliar sensation—was not one they liked one single bit. Fury consumed their slitted eyes as they erupted with an overbearing level of strength.

'Should I step in now?' Cela asked herself, keeping the Dark Elements of her Oblivion's Final Destination Physique on stand-by. 'No… Not yet… Darling wouldn't want me to just yet…'

WAAA!

The ice and fire that covered the Earth Dragons were instantly extinguished. And except for the small freeze and burn marks, they were all but unharmed.

"All that crying... over slight injuries like those...?"

Yennefer was overcome with both disdain and a tinge of apprehension over the true strength of the Earth Dragons. Although what she used weren't her most powerful attacks, they were sure as hell not her weakest.

For a moment, she considered requesting the assistance of the one person she didn't want help from. Cela did, after all, have a very powerful Heaven-ranked Physique that she obtained from the Spirit of what was once an extremely Formidable Cultivator of the Dark Arts.

The Cultivator's dying Spirit saw how talented Cela was the Darker Elements because of her proficiency with the 'Void Walker' Inheritance Technique. This subsequently led to the Spirit giving everything it could give to her—its inheritor—before it eventually faded away into Oblivion.

However, Yennefer was far too prideful to do something like request help from a b*tch like Cela…

Taking her attention away from the matter was the trembling voice of her friend:

"C-Can you really beat them, Yenny...?" Yara asked, attempting to drive away the doubt. "S...Shouldn't we just run...??"

Yennefer unsheathed her Treasured Sword, flaring the ice and fire elements inside it. She briefly looked at Yara, hesitation passing through her gaze for but the briefest of moments.

In all honesty, she wasn't the least bit confident that she'd be able to handle three Golden-flaked Earth Dragons by herself. But what other choice did she have?

Asking for help from Cela Bonanier was even more impossible. Furthermore, it seemed like she herself was on the fence on whether to help or not; this could mean that asking would end up being a fruitless endeavor either way…

Yara was the only other Trial Taker within a radius of thousands of miles, so no help was coming anytime soon. Furthermore, escape was impossible with the three angry lizards blocking the only entrance to the cave.

Going deeper into the Treasury was certainly an option, but all it took was a quick Divine Sense scan for Yennefer to learn that a dead end was the only thing that lay ahead...

This left only one option.

"To stay and fight," Yennefer coldly said as she blurred forward. The spinning fire-and-ice wheel followed behind her before suddenly leaving her side and flying toward the Earth Dragons ahead. "For my sake and the sake of Yara, I have to use everything I have—and I have to kill you."

The Earth Dragons—naturally opposed to the fulfillment of this notion—opened their maws wide. Rows of large, razor-sharp teeth were put on display—and further back, beyond the teeth, spheres of golden light constantly gathered Innate Energy from the atmosphere.

|Golden-flaked Annihilation Beam| X3

These were the signature attacks of the Golden-flaked Earth Dragon Species. Attacks that had wiped out entire Clans in the past—whole Cities.

Faced against such devastatingly powerful beam attacks, Yennefer shot forward. Like a bullet, she flew—and upon reaching a distance of less than a hundred meters from the Earth Dragons, she tapped against the ground. Her body sprung upward, colliding with the Fire and Ice Ring-wheel that had become significantly larger before it sped ahead.

RUMBLE!!

Yennefer's collision with the Fire and Ice Fusion Wheel made the whole cave shake. Stalactites fell from the ceiling and shattered against the ground, mixing with all of the Treasury's loot. However, it was floating above the scattered debris and treasure where the greatest amount of brilliance originated—one that outshone all the treasure in the vault.

Following her collision with the Fire and Ice Fusion Wheel, Yennefer experienced a tremendous metamorphosis—one that drastically altered her appearance. She grew horns from atop her forehead; hung around them were rings—some light blue and some red. These rings were also imbued with the element that matched their colors, adding an air of mystique that suffocated the less composed elements present.

"This is..." Yara muttered in confusion as she witnessed horns and a swinging tail emerge from her friend.

'Perhaps the whore can handle this, after all,' Cela thought as she moved toward Yennefer's general location. 'But just in case, I'll stick close and join in if necessary. Darling would want it this way.'

Her focus was entirely honed in on the one that would be most likely to hurt her Darling if harmed. This meant the more defenseless Yara was left out in the open…

FWOOOOM!

Yennefer's Fire Fairy Wings received an upgrade, growing longer and larger—also appearing far more intimidating. Yet, this wasn't all that had changed; her facial features also underwent a metamorphosis, somehow becoming even more beautiful and fierce.

This was all a direct result of her fusion with the Fire and Ice Wheel, as this led to her body being heavily subjected to the non-harmful injection and infusion of high-density amounts of the Fire and Ice Elements.
