Asura Emperor Venerable-Chapter 678 Bone Beast
Chapter 678: Chapter 678 Bone Beast
The Bone Beast ran extremely fast and soon caught up with the last person, stepping down with one foot, *snap*, and the person was motionless.
Who could withstand the Great Sacrificial Heaven’s strike?
An eerie scene unfolded: after the Bone Beast rushed past, a surge of black mist swept up the body of the person on the ground, absorbing it into the Bone Beast’s own body.
It only took a few steps before the Bone Beast caught up with another person, stepping down with the same fatal stomp, then wrapping the corpse into its body.
Shi Hao didn’t know if it was an illusion, but he felt that the Bone Beast seemed to have grown a bit stronger, although it was quite limited.
"Little Stone, let’s hurry and slip away. What are you still looking at?" the Purple Gold Rat said with a trembling voice, clearly frightened to death.
Shi Hao smiled and bolted.
He certainly had no intention of contending with that Bone Beast and naturally wouldn’t head towards it; instead, he ran in the direction of the third ring.
This place clearly had no value for lingering. Previously, it had been for raising Spirit Beasts, now all were reduced to bones—and somehow, these were bones that could run and kill.
He was by no means a great benefactor, thinking about saving those being chased by the Bone Beasts.
Even if he had such a desire, he lacked the strength.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The Bone Beast was too fast, catching up with those few people in succession, crushing them one by one, and absorbing them into its body.
It looked at Shi Hao and immediately turned to chase after him.
Even though Shi Hao had used all his might, compared to the Bone Beast, his speed was not just a little slower; the distance between them was quickly closing.
"Little Stone, let’s quickly hide inside the Immortal Abode," the Purple Gold Rat exclaimed.
"What’s the rush?" Shi Hao said with a smile, "With your thick skin and flesh, even if you were stepped on, you wouldn’t be hurt."
That was true, the Purple Gold Rat’s body was so strong that even those Ascending to Saint Position or on the Heaven Connecting Road might not be able to harm it.
"Damn it, don’t you see how freaky this thing is? I don’t want to be swallowed into its belly. Even if I don’t die, it’s revolting," the Purple Gold Rat firmly shook its head.
"Relax, the exit is in sight, we should make it in time," Shi Hao said with a smile.
"What do you mean ’should’?" the Purple Gold Rat shouted, "This kind of thing needs to be a hundred percent certain, even a one in ten thousand chance of failure is absolutely unacceptable!"
Shi Hao ignored it and burst into full speed.
The Little Star Universe opened up, and as long as it was something the Little Star Universe could resolve, he remained untouched by any power, the myriad laws not affecting him, and his speed surged faster and faster.
Could this be possible?
The Purple Gold Rat was stunned; such a movement technique... The best in the world, perhaps?
But, this required forming a Little Star Universe, and how many in the world could learn this?
A movement technique exclusive to Shi Hao!
Yet, no matter how fast Shi Hao was, there was a limit to his speed, and his opponent was the Great Sacrificial Heaven, surpassing him by far too much.
Bang, bang, bang, the Bone Beast was still closing in, but the speed of catching up was not as fast as before.
The Purple Gold Rat kept looking forward, hoping to see the exit immediately, and repeatedly looking back to check how far the Bone Beast was behind.
"Little Stone, didn’t you say the exit was in sight?" the Purple Gold Rat was about to cry, "Why don’t I see it?"
"That’s because you have bad eyesight," Shi Hao retorted.
"Damn it, you don’t know how far the exit is either, you’re completely gambling!" the Purple Gold Rat finally realized, its face downcast. How could there be such a freak, who could easily hide in the Immortal Abode and avoid the crisis effortlessly, yet this guy chose to court death.
Shi Hao let out a hearty laugh and ran even faster.
The Bone Beast kept closing in, from over ten miles initially to now only three miles, its terrifying aura seeming to have taken on a substantial form.
With it so close, Shi Hao’s sense of revulsion grew even stronger, and he couldn’t help but wonder, what exactly was this aura that made him instinctively loathe it, not caring who it emanated from, only desiring its destruction?
"Little Stone, quick, quick, quick, that skeleton is less than two miles away from us!" Purple Gold Rat yelled loudly.
Pfft!
The Bone Beast suddenly opened its mouth and spat out something that shot towards Shi Hao’s back at an alarming speed.
It was... a corpse it had rolled into its body earlier!
Shi Hao had intended to hide in the Immortal Abode, but then he noticed a passageway appearing in the distance.
Good!
He immediately abandoned the idea, bit his tongue, and fully unleashed his potential, his speed incredibly soaring to a new level.
Bang, the corpse smashed down, but it missed Shi Hao, hitting the ground and instantly bursting into a shower of blood.
Although Shi Hao dodged the strike, it was by a very narrow margin, showing just how fast it was.
"Little Stone, do you really have to make it this heart-pounding?" Purple Gold Rat screamed, nearly scared to death.
Shi Hao laughed heartily as his figure shot forward; ahead, the passageway was now right before his eyes.
The Bone Beast leaped high, shrouded in black mist and exuding a powerful yet nauseating aura, crashing down hard toward Shi Hao.
Whoosh, in a flash of lightning, Shi Hao had already rushed into the passageway.
The Bone Beast came crashing down but failed to catch Shi Hao.
It rammed into the entrance of the passageway, bang, bang, bang, the huge skeleton hitting the entrance with loud noises. However, it was too big to pass through, and the passage was incredibly sturdy, so it couldn’t break through.
After ramming for a long time, it finally stopped.
It didn’t give up but was compelled to because someone had appeared behind it.
It was a white-clad young man, not more than twenty-three or twenty-four years old, who looked handsome and refined, with an indescribable quality as if he shouldn’t belong to this world, lofty and above all things.
The Bone Beast turned its head to look at the man and immediately turned around to attack.
Bang, bang, bang, its four legs thrashing, creating a tremendous noise.
The white-clad man showed a slight look of surprise, "Is there still a Shadow Demon here?" Then he frowned, "After all this time, why is there still such an aura lingering here?"
However, the Bone Beast had already charged at him, leaving no time for further thought.
The white-clad man pulled out a horn, made of some unknown material but extremely worn, clearly an ancient relic.
A look of pain crossed his face, yet he blew the horn without hesitation.
Hum!
A deep sound resonated, and endless light converged, forming a Golden Armored Figure a hundred feet tall, with a square halberd in hand, majestic and imposing.
Zoom, the golden armored warrior immediately charged out, slashing at the Bone Beast with the halberd.
The black mist on the Bone Beast dispersed instantly, melting away as snow does before boiling water.
As half of the black mist scattered, the Bone Beast lost its ability to move, crashing to the ground with a thud, while the black mist continued to dissolve, soon completely dissipated.
