Chapter 1234: Chapter 374: Guns, Steel, and Giant Dragons

"It’s the incarnation of that traitor..."

Gazing at the magnificent scarlet figure in the sky, Felipe’s face was grim. The scales on his cheeks and chin trembled, his eyes deep and unfathomable, and the snake-like venomous vertical pupils revealed undisguised hatred.

Now, the third son of Fadlan has become an extension of Tiamat’s will, harboring a deep-seated hatred for the Ashen Empire’s Emperor who repeatedly disrupted the Dragon Worship Church’s rituals.

At this moment, Felipe’s face twisted with rage, the papal crown on his head trembling slightly as he raised the Calamity Staff, pointed towards the distant Red Dragon apparition, and shouted:

"Those who betray Tiamat shall endure eternal torment!

Sinner Cassius — destined for the most painful fate! His heart will be pierced by a poisoned spear, his scales will be stripped away by sharp blades, and his head will be chopped off by a battle axe, hung in Her Majesty the Dragon Queen’s palace!"

Along with Felipe’s movements, the dragon head of the Calamity Staff emitted a profound light, causing ripples in the sky. The formidable divine power enveloped the land, and countless Dragon Blood Monsters let out long howls.

They had faces twisted in madness, and astonishingly, they began to devour each other. Their flesh, skin, and organs mixed together, forming several colossal, mountain-sized, grotesque Monsters.

They were a nightmare-like amalgamation of creatures with limbs short and thick, some with four legs, some with six, and even centipede-like with dozens of legs.

The enormous dragon bodies twisted with necks and heads of various colors, their compositions not fixed, yet all within the range of red, blue, green, black, and white. No Monster possessed more than four heads—after all, only Tiamat is worthy of such a sacred form.

Having more than five heads would be a sacrilege against the stingy, narrow-minded Five-Colored Dragon Queen, likely to invite divine punishment descending from the heavens upon their appearance in the world.

They were twisted creations birthed by Tiamat’s divine power—Chromatic Dragon Beasts, also known as "Tiamat’s Blood." Each Chromatic Dragon Beast was a terrifying existence formed by the amalgamation of hundreds to thousands of Monsters, capable of independently combating a Legendary Adventurer Squad, easily obliterating mortal city-states.

"Roar—"

"Rip it apart!"

This group of Chromatic Dragon Beasts roared to the sky, their menacing heads displaying chaotic, twisted emotions. As the ground trembled violently, they charged, scrambling towards the scarlet figure.

However, the adversary they faced was not composed of mortal armies, but rather the Emperor of Ashes summoned by the Dragonsworn Holy Warrior, possessing partial power of its original form, and deeply unfathomable strength.

"Boom!"

A scorching pillar of fire descended from the sky, instantly piercing through one of the Chromatic Dragon Beast’s torsos. Yet it did not die. The Dragon Blood Monster with immense vitality let out a mournful cry, suddenly raising three heads of red, white, and green, spitting flames, frost, and venom respectively.

The other Chromatic Dragon Beasts also lifted their heads, opening their foul blood mouths, from their throats spitting out breaths of various colors, five heads collectively spitting to finally block the Red Dragon apparition’s flame breath.

These five Chromatic Dragon Beasts emitted hoarse roars, surrounding the Red Dragon apparition from different directions, encircling it tightly.

"Utterly disgusting Tiamat bloodline!" Anthony sneered, raising the spear tied with the Dragonsworn Holy Warrior battle flag, leading fellow members to charge at the group of Chromatic Dragon Beasts.

"For the Empire!" "For the great Dragon Lord!" The Dragonsworn Holy Warriors shouted in unison, heightening their battle spirit, emotionally charged. With orderly formation, they impacted those mountain-like enormous Dragon Beasts, their Dragon Souls atop their head accompanying the tumultuous momentum, diving down.

A Chromatic Dragon Beast moved its limbs, advancing like a moving mountain, preparing to crash into the Dragonsworn Holy Warriors’ formation. The ground trembled with its footsteps as yellow sands swept forward.

"Defensive formation! Prepare to face the Monster’s impact!" Amidst the muffled sounds on the ground, one regiment’s Dragonsworn Holy Warrior commander shouted orders loudly.

"Hold firm!"

"Do not retreat!"

Over a hundred Dragonsworn Holy Warriors wielding heavy shields and spears instantly formed a tight semicircular formation, radiating shimmering aurora, like a solid thorn wall, surrounding the enormous Monster.

"Boom!"

Accompanied by a roar, the Chromatic Dragon Beast collided head-on, forcefully crashing into the formation, instantly crushing three unprepared Dragonsworn Holy Warriors into pulp.

Yet the remaining Dragonsworn Holy Warriors leveraged the Dragon Vein Connection to share harm, flame chains linked and interwoven among them, forming a large net enveloping the Chromatic Dragon Beast.

"Kill!"

"Attack!"

Spears heated to redness stabbed from all directions, continuously piercing the Chromatic Dragon Beast’s body, creating countless blood holes in the massive twisted torso, blood gushing out.

The Chromatic Dragon Beast raised three heads simultaneously, letting out a painful roar filled with rage, then spitting deadly flames, lightning, and frost, instantly engulfing over a dozen Dragonsworn Holy Warriors.

Yet this group of Dragonsworn Holy Warriors had firmly resolute battle intentions; even when comrades were burned alive in front of them, they resolutely filled the gap, unwilling to retreat an inch.

"For the Emperor!"

"Attack its vital spots! This Monster cannot last long."

"Roar—"

In the sky, summoned by the Dragonsworn Holy Warrior’s will, the Red Dragon battle soul descended, pouncing onto the Chromatic Dragon Beast’s back, using sharp claws to tear crazily, forcibly ripping away the blue dragon-power-indicating head.

"Aoo!!"

Blood and flesh splattered, the pained and tragic howls echoed through the sky.

Amid the intertwined cries of killing, roars, and explosions, these six Chromatic Dragon Beasts and thousands of Dragonsworn Holy Warriors entangled in struggle, for the moment unable to decide the victor.

Meanwhile, over a dozen remaining Chromatic Dragon Beasts also launched charges, rushing towards vulnerable points of the Imperial defense line, joining the Dragon Blood Monsters to attack, forming swift, furious streams of assault.

"Boom—"

Accompanied by the rumble and whistling of steam engines, the Empire’s Steam Tank Legion advanced towards Sunset City, crushing everything in front, mercilessly grinding Dragon Blood Monsters.

Yet just then, three mountain-sized Chromatic Dragon Beasts appeared before the armored corps, spewing various breaths of five-colored dragons from menacing heads.

In an instant, flames, lightning, frost engulfed the leading Steam Tanks in charging, and in the resounding explosions, the Empire’s Volume "Victory Wings" tanks were blew up into scattered remains.

"Fire!"

"Destroy them for me!"

A Dragon Vein Goblin, the screechy-tuned commander of the tank corps within the "Emperor’s Furious Wrath," slapped the control deck, shouting angrily.

"Boom!"

"Boom! Boom!"

The tank’s main cannon fired continuously, the armor-piercing bullets inflicted extreme damage, blasting into the Chromatic Dragon Beast’s colossal body, creating charred bloody craters, yet failing to kill them completely.

"Roar—"

Amid tearing howls, the Chromatic Dragon Beast charged into bombardment, with massive bodies flipping, smashing the tanks.

Soon, the warship legion in the sky also joined this brutal war, multiple beams crisscrossing down, descending upon the heads of Chromatic Dragon Beasts.
