Ashen Dragon-Chapter 1194 - 348: The Emperor of the Crimson Dragon’s Plunder
The Ashen Empire, Anzeta Great Wilderness Governor’s District, Dragon Blood Mountain Forbidden Zone.
This is an absolute forbidden zone within the Empire, where no living being dares to enter or even approach. Only the sound of magma surging and hot winds howling can be heard.
Just then, a gigantic rift appeared in the sky, the ground trembled slightly, and the ashes and flowing flames in the air seemed to be drawn by an invisible force, leaping and rolling.
On the outskirts of Dragon Blood Mountain, the Half-Dragon soldiers and Bipedal Wyverns patrolling outside the steam and mist all felt something in their hearts, unanimously looking towards the mountaintop, their faces showing fervent and devout expressions.
Someone murmured, "This pressure... it is His Majesty, His Majesty Cassius has returned! The Empire has achieved victory in the South again!"
"Long live the Emperor! Long live the Empire!"
"Sizzle—" 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶
With a sound like a storm, the Red Dragon Emperor tore through space, the majestic dragon body appearing above Dragon Blood Mountain accompanied by flowing flames and thick smoke. His left claw grasped a shattered crystallized dragon horn, his right claw held a Time Amber imprisoning the Ancient Blue Dragon’s soul, and he descended with a roaring, scorching gale onto the peak shaped like a giant dragon’s head.
Upon touching the ground, the flames condensed on his body suddenly receded and dispersed, revealing the scars on his chest threatening to split his body in two, exposing ribs and organs, which were growing new flesh at a speed visible to the naked eye.
It turned out that he had just used flame to intimidate the Faria Clan and repair his body, and what was now revealed was the true form of the Red Dragon Emperor.
The Divine Punishment from Tiamat was exceedingly powerful, carrying destructive, evil Divine Power, piercing directly through his body. Even with Cassius’s unreasonable healing abilities as a Third Generation Ancestor Dragon, it would take over ten days — or even several months to fully recover.
However, Cassius didn’t really care.
For mortals, this would definitely be a fatal injury, but for an immortal demigod, it could only be considered a minor injury. For example, Goraz Dera, even if her body was burned to ashes, would reassemble after hundreds or thousands of years, like a phoenix reborn from flames.
Therefore, in Ancient Times, churches chose to seal and control powerful enemies of demigod and quasi-god level with Divine Arts after defeating them, instead of killing them outright, which would only leave endless troubles.
Unless a True God Level being completely erased a demigod’s immortal trait with Divine Punishment, no one could kill them entirely.
If Goraz Dera chose to escape to remote parts of the star realm, the bottom of the Abyss, or the Lightning Elemental Plane, places where she could hide, even Cassius couldn’t find her trail.
Of course, Goraz Dera could also choose to seek refuge in Tiamat’s Divine Kingdom, but with the precedent of "Lord of the Rot Swamp" Erebos being devoured, this Ancient Blue Dragon, who had just been defeated by Cassius and lost her utility value, probably wouldn’t consider this option.
Yet, due to Goraz Dera’s consistent arrogance and recklessness over the millennia, she seemed to be overwhelmed by her urgent vision of Ascension, choosing to return to the Faria family’s lair to seek a new body, only to be caught red-handed by Cassius.
Cassius gazed at the Ancient Dragon soul imprisoned in the time cage, grinning as he snapped his claw.
Suddenly, a narrow hole appeared in the time cage, just enough for Goraz Dera to expose her head, while the other parts of her dragon body remained within the boundaries of Eternal Stasis.
Just as she caught a breath, Goraz Dera let out a sharp screech, roaring loudly, "Cassius, let me out! How dare you imprison a giant dragon about to ascend to godhood!"
Cassius tilted his head, smirking, "I didn’t expect, even now, with your body destroyed, you’re still dreaming of becoming a god."
"Have you forgotten Erebos’s fate? His Majesty Tiamat didn’t hesitate for a moment, devouring him on the spot."
"That’s different!" Goraz Dera frowned and retorted, "How can that waste Erebos compare to me? I am His Majesty Tiamat’s most trusted offspring, regarded as the future sub-god of the divine pantheon..."
"Is deceiving yourself enjoyable?"
Cassius raised an eyebrow, "What kind of Divine is Tiamat? Greedy, brutal, selfish, and unscrupulous. If Tiamat knew you still possessed Divinity but lost most of your strength, from a pure interest standpoint—"
The Red Dragon Emperor intentionally dragged out his voice with a teasing tone, "What would He do? You should know better than me, that’s why you didn’t choose to seek refuge in His Divine Realm, am I right?"
"You—Cassius, your end is also coming soon! When Tiamat descends, your head will become a decoration on His throne..."
Enraged yet rendered speechless, Goraz Dera could only curse incoherently, using what she thought were the most venomous words to cast her curse.
But for Cassius, who had undergone the baptism of the information age, these insults were utterly insignificant.
He laughed, revealing a mouthful of sharp fangs, and before the eyes of the Ancient Blue Dragon, he pulled out that horn, its fractured base still continuously emitting Divine Power lightning.
At the sight of the horn, Goraz Dera’s pupils were immediately filled with madness and greed, "Mine, that’s mine! Cassius, return it to me at once!"
