Ascension of The Unholy Immortal-Chapter 345: Return to Blackwater Island
Stay away from heaven Will? That’s not the first time for Liang hearing this, the first time it was said to him by the Infernal Void Emperor. Now, it was the second time for him hearing this.
If he was suspicious of it when he heard it from the Infernal Void Emperor back then, hearing it again now removed a great amount of his suspicions. He had spent years investigating the matter, searching for any shred of evidence to support or refute the warning. But his efforts had been fruitless, leaving him with only a nagging unease.
But he still wasn’t aware of the reason behind this, in any way would that Heaven Will would be disadvantages to him?
A thought appeared on his mind then he directed his gaze back to Mo Ji. The devil realm lord sat across from him, a faint smile playing on his lips. His eyes held a glimmer of amusement, as if he knew something Liang didn’t.
"Senior Mo why-
"I know what you want to ask," Mo Ji said, his voice soft and soothing. "But that’s more than enough for you to know."
Liang’s brow furrowed slightly upon hearing this, but he reminded silent. He had learned that Mo Ji was a man of few words and that it was useless to press him further.
"Well that should be it," Mo Ji turned around, his robes flowing behind him like a midnight breeze. "See you around." With a flick of his wrist, he disappeared into the darkness.
"Mo Ji the devil realm lord is indeed an extraordinary figure," Liang said to himself, his gaze still fixed on the spot where Mo Ji had just stood. He waved his hand, dismissing multiple spirit formations that were secretly constructed by him.
Mo Ji’s words had given him little information, but they had confirmed his suspicions. The Heaven Will was indeed a potential threat to him, and he had to be wary.
"Up till now it’s been a fruitful journey, now let’s get to business." Liang let out a chuckle before disappearing into the night.

"The quality of the devilish qi depleted significantly." Liang observed the new state of the Umbrella Expanse Continent. He had been traveling for several months, and the changes were evident.
"If i remember correctly, Blackwater Island should be in this direction." Liang gazed turned into a certain direction, with a step forward he disappeared from sight and reappeared on a calm and isolated island beach.

The island was covered in lush vegetation, and the air was fresh and invigorating. A gentle breeze swept across the beach, carrying the scent of salt and seaweed. Liang scanned the island with his universe, a hint of surprise appearing on his eyes.
"Four Alter Formation Realm experts?" A hint of realization then replaced his earlier surprise. "To think that these four would be able to break through the Alter Formation Realm so quickly. That’s...unnatural."
"No something is different," as if noticing something, his face darkened, "what a guts they have."
Liang unleashed his aura fully like a raging storm - the power of a half step void return realm descended on the island.
A loud shot sounded through the island as four figures appeared in the sky. They were the four Alter Formation Realm experts that Liang had sensed, and their faces were pale with fear.
"Too powerful, this presence isn’t any weaker then a late stage Alter Formation Realm." Nyx said grimly.
"Do you acknowledge your sin!" An oppressive voice suddenly sounded in all of their mind, forcing them to step back as if an invisible hand had pushed them.
The four individuals’ eyes widened as they looked at the figure descending from the sky. They felt small and insignificant in the presence of that overwhelming power.
"Counselor!" Seraphin shouted in surprise. The other three expressions changed as they recognized the figure.
"I thought Kai has taught you well, but you actually dare to betray my trust and defy my will?" Liang looked at them coldly, his eyes like two icy blades.
"We wouldn’t dare to..." Kael, a muscular man with a goatee, quickly denied.
"You wouldn’t dare to what?" Liang snorted coldly, sending Kael flying to the ground with a wave of his hand.
"I have only given you one single order," Liang said indifferently, "To master the formation and to teach it to the others."
"Sir, we actually did master the formation and taught it to everyone." Seraphina replied weakly.
"Master?" Liang snorted coldly, "the way i see it you instead of using the formation power to boost your power you used it to cultivate."
"We..." Xul opened his mouth.
"Shut up," Liang pointed his finger, sending a beam of invisible energy that penetrated Xul’s chest and forced him to his knees.
"How many innocent people you used over the years to actually breakthrough that fast." Liang asked coldly.
"Sir please let us explain." Nyx smiled bitterly.
Liang looked at them coldly before waving his hand, "fine then you can talk but..If i didn’t hear a good explanation you will die miserably."
Nyx face turned pale upon hearing this, yet he took a deep breath and said carefully, "Sir, Initially we weren’t aware of such a function, and once we did, we thought that it would be beneficial for the Tavern to use."
Liang’s eyes narrowed slightly "go on"
"We thought that so what if we sacrificed weakling to achieve a greater benefits, i mean aren’t four real Alter Formation Realm experts better than ones created using the formation power?"
"So what ? You sacrificed innocent people to achieve your own selfish goals?" Liang’s voice was cold and unforgiving. "You have betrayed the trust I placed in you."
The four Alter Formation Realm experts fell to their knees, their heads bowed in shame. They knew that they had committed a grave sin, and they were prepared to face the consequences.
"We are guilty," Nyx said, her voice trembling. "We deserve to die."
Nyx took a deep breath, mustering all his courage. "We were initially unaware of the formation’s true capabilities. And when we discovered its potential, we believed it would benefit the Tavern."
Liang’s eyes narrowed, his expression inscrutable. "Continue."
"We used the formation’s energy to cultivate, but we never intended to harm anyone," Nyx said, his voice tinged with desperation. "We swear it."
Liang remained silent, his gaze unwavering. Nyx knew that their fate hung in the balance, and he desperately searched for words that would sway Liang’s judgment.
"We have always been loyal to you," Nyx continued. "We have never betrayed your trust."
Liang’s expression softened slightly, but his voice remained cold. "You have defied my orders. That is betrayal enough."
"We were wrong," Nyx said, his voice thick with regret. "We should have followed your instructions to the letter."
"But it is not too late to rectify your mistake," Liang said. "You can still redeem yourselves."
Nyx’s eyes widened in hope. "How?" he asked.
Liang smiled thinly. "By proving your loyalty once and for all."
Liang waved his hand and four black runes appeared in front of him.
"This four runes will give me the ability to control your life from death, To prove your loyalty you need to let it enter your soul alters."
The four looked at each other helplessly.
"Alright," Nyx said, his voice filled with resignation. "We will do as you say."
The other three Alter Formation Realm experts nodded in agreement. They knew that they had no choice but to obey Liang’s orders.
Liang smiled thinly. "Good," he said. "let me show you the true power of these runes."
He pointed his finger at the first rune, and it flew towards Nyx. It entered Nyx’s body and disappeared into his soul altar.
Liang repeated the process with the other three runes, and they too disappeared into the soul altars of the other Alter Formation Realm experts.
"Good," Liang said. "Now, you will do as I command."

"You will return to the Tavern and continue to teach the formation to the others," Liang said. "But this time, you will teach them another formations"
"Another formations?" Kael asked in surprise.
Liang chuckled and waved his hand, summoning give jade slips.
"One the five contain an upgraded version of the Etherial Path, and the other also are of great importance, but don’t worry their application is easier." Liang said indifferently.
The four nodded in union.
"On more thing." Liang looked at four deeply," I can allow you to use the formation to cultivate again, but you will have to do one more thing "
