Chapter 24: Chapter 24: Scoundrels’ Harassment

Su Yining had been embroiled in a lot of trouble since yesterday.

Her cheap fiance, Chen Kaixuan, showed up in front of her office, following her home like a stalker. She couldn’t even live a peaceful second since yesterday!

There was another employee from another department living near her place. That employee knew Han Zhicong, and her wretched fiance used that employee as an excuse when she confronted him.

"I am visiting a friend, not you. Moreover, we are still engaged, Yining. Remember that," he had said.

She was so annoyed she didn’t even have enough sleep.

Since Chen Kaixuan had gotten more anxious, it seemed that Su Ruolan had been pushing him to harass her.

Their goal must be the same: getting her to sign the inheritance waiver.

"Su Yining, what kind of woman are you? Running away from your own fiance!" Han Zhicong sneered at her as he passed by.

Su Yining twitched her mouth. The movement of her fingers which were massaging her temples abruptly stopped.

At this moment, her phone lit up. Another message from an unknown number. There was no need to guess who it was, certainly the scoundrel whose name had just come out of Han Zhicong’s loud mouth.

"Look, Brother Xuan even sends you a message. Why don’t you answer him?" Han Zhicong was about to snatch her phone, but she was faster. She hid her phone as she glared at him.

The continuous harassment was absolutely repulsive. Chen Kaixuan had been sending her messages and calling non-stop. Unfortunately, she couldn’t bring this matter to the police either.

With the combined force between the Su and Chen family, they would have the means to bring him out. She didn’t want to go through so much trouble.

Even if Chen Kaixuan was no longer favored in his family, his father still wouldn’t let his son rot in jail. Hence, she could only swallow the harassment for the time being.

She blocked a lot of his new numbers already, yet the man always created a new one! The constant ringing of the phone or notification made her not want to touch her phone for too long. As such, she turned it off.

Since yesterday, she hadn’t gotten a chance to play the game again yet. Hopefully, her Yuanyuan should be alright! After all, she had even bought a paid package for him.

The cute silver wolf was sleeping when she was about to hand over the high-grade teleportation talisman. He had been fighting against the villains a few times, and she didn’t want to wake him up.

That was why she gave the teleportation talisman to the cute gray cat girl.

"I don’t want to. Tell him to stay away from me," Su Yining scowled. Her patience was thinning when she saw Han Zhicong’s wide face getting closer to the phone on her hand.

She took a file from her table and slapped him with it angrily. "Han Zhicong, you go away and don’t disturb me!"

This time, he was a little more persistent than usual. Su Yining absolutely despised this greedy man! He must have been the one who reported all her schedules to that wretched man.

No wonder he could spot her and came to the office right on time, so accurately. Right after she was about to go home.

The lack of sleep made Su Yining transform into a tigress on the spot. Han Zhicong yelled like a slaughtered pig.

"Don’t poke my eyes! Don’t!" He blurted out, yet he stood on his ground.

This time, the commotion disturbed some of the other employees. They cast unhappy glances at them, making Su Yining stop when she realized where she was.

"Su Yining, Han Zhicong! Don’t disturb others. Go outside if you want to fight." Her department leader shot them a sharp look, her heels clanging against the floor as she walked.

Su Yining wilted slightly. She cleared her throat. "Sister Qin, it’s this man who has been disturbing me. I can’t concentrate because he always whispers disturbing things to me whenever he passes by!"

Her eyes flashed with a cunning look. She spoke indignantly, "He even calls your makeup too thick, like some middle-aged auntie, Sister Qin, which is obviously not true!"

Sister Qin’s eyes landed on Han Zhicong. The latter shrunk. He was indeed on Su Yining’s table despite not having any business with her. He even dared to gossip about her! 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎

Han Zhicong’s eyes widened when he heard Su Yining’s accusation. However, it was as if the words had poked a dragon’s reverse scale, Sister Qin wouldn’t believe his explanation no matter what.

In the office, Han Zhicong’s position was similar to Su Yining, and his family wasn’t particularly well-off. He gritted his teeth inwardly. Even if he was a little unwilling, he still had to swallow the grievance.

"I will go back. Don’t be angry, Sister Qin." He hurriedly walked away.

How could Su Yining let go of any opportunity to make this despicable man suffer? So, she deliberately stretched her foot from an angle that Sister Qin couldn’t see.

Han Zhicong widened his eyes when he felt he was losing balance over his footing. Before long, he stumbled and landed on another table, knocking a stack of documents. He fell on his chest, like a whale out of water.

Sister Qin’s angry and exasperated voice resonated in the room amidst the flying documents. Some even landed on Su Yining’s table.

"Sister Qin, I am sorry. It must be because he doesn’t like me and wants to take revenge. Look, a lot of the documents landed on my table!" She sniffled, putting on a sorrowful look at the messy table in front of her.

However, she was secretly cackling like a mad inside, especially when she saw Han Zhicong’s desperate look.

Hmph! Once Sister Qin punished him, he would have no way to report to his owner again. Today, she could go back home faster than usual or take an overtime if needed, as long as she could avoid him.

With her adding fuel to the fire, Sister Qin dragged him out of the room and berated him outside. When Su Yining heard that he needed to stay behind to sort out the documents, she revealed a satisfied smile.

She wouldn’t take overtime then...

Besides, she already terribly missed her Yuanyuan. His quest should have succeeded, right?

It was the first time she had bought a game package. But it didn’t matter. She didn’t feel too much of a pinch since the money was from that person, anyway.
