Chapter 417: Chapter 38 Saints and Madmen_1

Sequence Number 5, Akad.

This was a guy whose appearance alone screamed "bad news!"

"He’s here," Tang Haofei said calmly, without even turning his head.

Wen Yu frowned as well.

The stench of blood from Akad was so overpowering it even affected Wen Yu’s sense of smell.

Even Kasu, standing to one side, solemnly closed the Bible in his hands before fixing his gaze on Akad’s face, his eyes growing increasingly profound. 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂

Gently adjusting his formal hat, Akad slowly pulled the brim down, obscuring his long, narrow eyes. He licked the corner of his mouth and leisurely approached the front row. His blood-red trench coat billowed gently, the reek of blood spreading out, so strong it made some of the weaker professionists want to vomit. This man, merely by walking, could inflict immense torment and pain on the lives around him.

"Amen..." Kasu sighed softly, repeatedly making the sign of the cross on his chest as if beseeching God for forgiveness and guidance.

Akad, however, seemed oblivious to everyone’s expressions and attitudes, strolling to the front row as if no one else existed.

Akad’s seat was the fifth in the front row, flanked by Sequence Number 4—Qin Min, and Sequence Number 6—Fang Bai.

Coincidentally, both had previous encounters with Akad—none of them pleasant, of course.

Back when Akad had caused a bloodbath in Britain, Qin Min, Fang Bai, and the current Sequence Number 7, Michael, had been jointly responsible for hunting him down. However, judging by Akad’s current condition, it seemed their combined efforts hadn’t affected him much; instead, a bitter feud had clearly formed.

His long, narrow, and utterly evil eyes swept over everyone seated in the front row.

Then, Akad’s gaze paused briefly on Kasu before quickly shifting to Qin Min.

"HEH HEH HEH... HEE HEE..."

His laughter grew deeper and more sinister. Then, in a flash, two pure black pistols materialized in Akad’s hands, and he began firing wildly at Qin Min!

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

The sound was like cannon fire, explosions ringing out incessantly. Yet Qin Min, arms crossed, sat in his seat, completely unmoved.

The rules of the Sequence Challenge stipulated that within the Eternal Sky City, professionists could not harm each other. Akad’s actions, while impressive in terms of sound effects, were actually useless.

But Akad seemed to be simply venting, and the firearms in his hands were no ordinary items. Even as bullets whistled out in continuous streams, he never seemed to run out of ammunition.

Three minutes later, Akad silently holstered his Dual Guns. A cryptic smile played on his lips as he walked past Qin Min and plopped down into his own seat.

Qin Min opened his eyes slightly, the disgust on his face completely unconcealed. "What a tiresome charade."

"JEH JEH JEH~ This isn’t a charade. This is revenge! Revenge for my 865 lives! One bullet, one life. How fair is that? How harmonious?"

"Your life is truly cheap!" Qin Min retorted dismissively and ignored Akad thereafter.

However, Akad, as if he’d found an engaging topic, wore a strange smile. He pressed his long, horse-like face close to Qin Min’s ear. He spoke as if whispering, but his voice carried clearly.

"Actually, I wanted to say, those weren’t *my* lives, you know. You ’killed me’ 865 times, but those were actually my subjects who died. Oh, what was one of their names again? Wang Dong, was it? Remember when you all mobilized missiles to bomb me? Wow, that scene... That Wang Dong, I used him as a scapegoat. He was blown to smithereens... But did you know? My subjects aren’t that easy to kill. Even when his body was pulverized and only half his head remained, he just stared straight at me, as if to say, ’I died such a horrible death...’ Dying twice in one lifetime, he really got his money’s worth..."

After speaking, Akad looked at Qin Min’s increasingly ugly expression, then slowly extended his long, pointed tongue and lightly licked Qin Min’s face.

"He was your Praetorian Guard, wasn’t he?"

"BASTARD! YOU’RE ASKING FOR DEATH!"

Provoked by Akad’s taunts, Qin Min finally exploded. His entire body flashed with golden light as he threw a powerful punch at Akad’s head.

But Akad reacted instantly, crossing his arms and striking a pose just as Qin Min’s attack landed on his head, only to be blocked by the protective shield.

"TSK TSK TSK TSK. Just as I thought. So that’s why you were acting so smug earlier. This whole ’unfazed while being attacked’ pose really has style..."

"Enough, Qin Min! Why are you bothering with a madman like him?" Tang Haofei shouted, sensing that everyone in the hall was watching Qin Min and Akad’s display as if it were a monkey show. He felt he was losing face. After all, Qin Min was nominally his subordinate, one of his own.

"HUFF!"

Qin Min exhaled heavily, glaring intently at Akad’s long, smirking face. He then slightly adjusted his military uniform and turned back to his seat.

Akad, meanwhile, shot Tang Haofei a sinister glare. Then, he once again drew his Dual Guns, aimed them at Fang Bai on the other side, and squeezed the triggers hard!

"You son of a bitch! You little mutt! Yeah, you! You killed me over five hundred times! Come on, let’s go one-on-one, you motherfucker!"
