"1?!" Ethan was bewildered at the revelation from his yawning mother. Just this strike had required more than 80% of his power. He was just moments away from using Sync and all from a simple spear throw from his mother.

"Huh? Surprised?" Madeleine asked in confusion.

"You senile old woman! Are you trying to kill me?!" Ethan burst out his eyes glowing a deep crimson. A vein bulged on Madeleine’s head when she heard this. Her green eyes darkened as a fearsome aura burst from her.

"What did you just call me you ungrateful brat?!"

"Senile old woman!"

"You are dead!"

In one moment, Ethan was standing his room, his stance defensive. The next moment, he was hurtling through the sky with smoke coming from his hands which were twisted in weird angles as they healed quickly. The wind sharply brushed past his face and his naked upper body. His clothes had been destroyed in the strike from his mother. His Psyche-Eye barely failed to react. Even his block was purely instinctual.

He quickly steadied himself in the sky as a blue glow covered him. He ducked subconsciously in time to dodge a boulder-sized rock with jagged parts at him.

"Get down!" A fierce punch which he once again failed to notice hit him squarely in the head, shooting him straight into the ground, with blood gushing from the top of his head, making his red hair, redder.

He created a huge crater from the impact with the ground, destroying the finely cut ornamental plants and mowed grass. They were currently behind their huge villa-house. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to call it a small village on its own. There were smaller buildings around all part of the bigger house all having their own purposes. The area they were currently was a huge open grass field with beautiful ornamental plants. It was very wide and huge, about the size of 4 football fields combined and Ethan’s fall had just destroyed half of one football field. The crater was also a bit deep.

Ethan hurriedly rolled out of the way as a red spear plunged into the earth, on his earlier position. It further cracked the earth, creating a mini crater of its own. A dark gold portal materialized out of thin air. Ethan plunged his hand inside and swiftly took out a black spear with a beautiful crystal tip, glowing faintly with an ethereal light. He quickly twirled, parrying a strike from the shaft of the red spear his mother held. The strike pushed him 10 meters away from Madeleine, allowing him a breather.

That was when he noticed the spear. It was beautiful. It had a deep red shaft adorned with golden serpentine and what looked like, bird-like runes. Its tip was a dark red, almost crimson with black lines covering the underside to the part of the shaft connecting to the tip. It was a bit longer than Madeleine. The sight was almost comical with a fierce looking woman in pajamas holding a mythical looking spear.

"Take that back Ethan Smith Junior!" Madeleine said in a chilly tone, red scales appearing on her face.

"Never, you crazy woman!" Ethan shot back with a defiant tone, the tattoos on his arms, glowing red.

Before Ethan could react, Madeleine was in front of him, her spear tip coming straight at him. He shifted his weight and ducked down while piercing his spear towards her abdomen. Madeleine twirled her spear with an unfazed expression and parried the strike. She counter attacked with a sweeping strike which Ethan jumped back to avoid but he failed to notice the incoming rock behind him. His back hit it with a resounding boom, shattering the rock upon impact.

"Fuck!" Ethan gritted his teeth as he ignored the pain in his body. He felt his broken bones healing and reconstructing almost instantly but his mother wasn’t going to wait for him to recover. And he was right as a red shot toward him covered in a dark purple light which gave him the chills. He quickly activated one of the skills of his spear. The symbols in the middle of the shaft glowed softly with a purple as he threw at his mother.

Madeleine raised her eyebrow at Ethan’s counterattack. She felt that something was off, but she decided to humor him a bit. She moved to the side and caught the spear with her left hand. her long hair blowing crazily from the wind generated from the throw. At the same time, she heard a boom and looked in surprise at where the spear should have impaled Ethan.

The spear had impaled something alright but it wasn’t Ethan. It was far from Ethan. It was the rock she had hurled at the start. Ethan was nowhere to be found.

"Got you." A creepy, triumphant voice sounded in her ears. She turned swiftly and raised her arms in time as a strong telekinetic blast hit her. She skidded about 8 meters away with little to no scratch.

"Tch!" Ethan clicked his tongue in annoyance at his failed attack. He had wanted to hurt her also, but he was far from it. Meanwhile, he had bled almost ten times since the fight started. If it wasn’t for his regeneration, he would have been covered in injuries like a certain old man in the old Christian book, called the Holy Bible.

"That was a nice attack. I must say... I’m not the least bit impressed." Madeleine said in a mocking tone.

"Can’t you just compliment me honestly?!" Ethan shot back with an annoyed face.

"You look pretty handsome. That is a fact for sure, but they are all from my genes. So, what am I supposed to compliment you about? Your growing harem?"

"Come on, ma!"

"So, you can call me ma? I’m very surprised."

Ethan was blasted off his feet once again.

...

"I’m still 18, ma!"

"You can fight me at 5% power."

"I’m still a kid and your son!"

"A very strong one at that. I’m very proud."

"You aren’t getting the point!"

"I never impaled you on my spear. I have failed for the first time."

"""".....""""

Everyone stared at the mother and son pair who were arguing as they entered the villa through the door with disheveled appearances. At least, Madeleine was okay. Her hair was the only part disheveled about her. But Ethan... he looked like a madman from the gutters with blood stains on his body, hair strewn everywhere in messy waves and a bruised face which his Primogenitor level regeneration was failing to use.

How all this happened, no one chose to comment.

...

Ethan, Trevor, Lamair and their girls bid farewell to the Smith household-Madeleine, Amor, Petra and David. They were heading to the academy where the details of the outing would be announced to them. All they knew was that the outing was a month long one.

Ethan had made preparations with the system to halt his beast plane travels for the time being. His recent expeditions were all preparations towards the outing which was finally here. Madeleine hugged all of them with tears in their eyes except of course, Ethan and Trevor.

"Ma?"

"You two are the leaders of this pack. I can’t get all chummy with you."

"But we are your sons."

"Lamair is older than us."

"Goodbye my baby boys."

"Ma!"

"Alright alright." Madeleine gave her two sons one of the most crushing bear hugs they would ever have.

Amor also walked up to them and looked them in the eyes, his blue boring into their reds.

"All I will say is, take your responsibilities seriously and don’t die. I don’t want your mother destroying Anbord."

""Amor!"" Petra and Amor shouted.

"Goodluck lads."

""Thanks Uncle.""

And with that, they hopped into Ethan’s new vehicle, a FirraTredge. It was a huge vehicle, the size of a small bus with huge, rugged black tires. It was silver with blue hints and black windows.

The FirraTredge eventually passed through the gates and headed towards the academy. They dropped Harley at hers before heading to theirs though.

...

"Finally, the time is up. Ethan will surely pay. No one messes with Leon Richards." A blue haired guy sat in a sleek, extravagant blue-white designed bedroom with a hateful but anticipatory expression on his face. Leon couldn’t wait to put his plans into motion and erase Ethan Smith from the face of Debranlith.

He laughed maniacally as he typed away on his device.

...

"The time is due. I hope I can meet him and apologize. Hannh! E-Ethan!" a blue haired beautiful girl with a resemblance to Leon muttered softly, her hair a disheveled mess as she lay on a messy bed. The part of the mattress under her waist was wet and her fair face was tinged with a blush. Her fingers brushed upon her clit as she stared intensely at the screen of her laptop.

Her naked body was on display, a beautiful light in this rather, dull, decorated room. The dim light glowed softly on her sexy body, highlighting the scars on her neck, shoulders, thighs, stomach... but this all complimented her well and added a special spice to her beauty.

’I hope he doesn’t find me ugly. I will surely die from that.’

Lisa Richards, one of the Zodiacs bearing the symbol of Pisces and a Warrior level mage was so far gone in love, and it would take only Ethan who had no idea of this, to save her.
