An Extra's POV: My Three Fiancees Hate Me-Chapter 70: A bleeding William
Chapter 70: A bleeding William
"What the hell was that?" Riven asked. He looked up and saw two over seven feet tall goblins standing there with large swords in their hands.
"Goblin champions, shit." Riven cursed and got up on his feet quickly as one of the goblins picked up a rock again and threw it at him.
Riven dodged the rock and charged in, his feet moving in a blur. He pulled his sword halfway and went for a slash.
"Let’s end this fast," he yelled. The goblin swung down as well and blocked the attack.
CLANG.
The collision instantly pushed Riven back. It was clear who was the stronger one here, but that was not what mattered now.
The second goblin attacked, slashing vertically. Riven looked up. He knew that there was no way he was going to block that attack, so he opted to parry it as best as he could.
He took a step back and parried the sword to the side, and immediately used the opportunity to charge in, his sword already moving toward the guts of the goblin.
But that would have been way too easy. The second goblin blocked his attack and tried to grab him as well. Riven beat a quick retreat, getting out of reach.
His feet had barely touched the ground when the first goblin moved in for his neck again. He blocked the attack; his hands went numb from the pain, but he was able to survive.
He landed a few meters away and took his stance once more, his eyes darted between the two goblins, following their movement closely. He knew what it meant to be a goblin champion, and that meant that their ability to fight was far higher than that of the other goblins, which meant he had to be extremely careful while fighting them.
He drew a deep breath, shutting his eyes for a second before opening them. The look on his face changed into a serious one. He charged in, running at his top speed.
The first goblin struck without hesitation, but he was able to react fast enough. He planted his feet into the ground and made a flip over the sword in one clean motion.
Before the goblin could react to that, he slashed, firing a flame arc at him. It used its arm to try and block it, and the arc slashed into the arm and drew blood.
While the first goblin roared in pain, the second came, attacking with a full-powered swing. Riven planted his feet into the ground and blocked the attack.
The impact went through his entire body, shaking everything down to even his organs. He coughed up a mouthful of blood, but he didn’t get pushed aside.
He raised his hand immediately and used Flame Blast at point-blank range. The flame exploded right on the goblin’s face, and though it didn’t kill it, it gave Riven enough time to charge in again.
Riven made a very quick decision on how to take down the goblin, and so he went for the back of its knee. His sword cut the back and immediately sent the goblin falling to the ground.
Riven then leaped into the air and stabbed right through the heart of the goblin and killed the first one.
The second goblin, filled with rage, let out a terrifying roar and charged at Riven. Riven smirked and pointed his sword at it.
"You never stood a chance at all," he said and used Flame Blast. The first one knocked back the goblin, and then Riven followed up with more and more attacks, until the entire chest of the goblin was riddled with heavy and deep burns.
The goblin could barely move at this point. Riven walked up to it, he stared at the goblin with a smile, and stabbed through its heart, killing the goblin.
He gathered the crystals and got two thousand points.
"I’m kinda hungry, I should spend some time resting and eating."
He sat down on the third floor, his shadows flickering as the torches danced slowly. After his rest, he continued deeper into the third floor, but he ultimately refused to go deeper than the third.
He continued killing monsters on the floor until he amassed a staggering [55,320 points].
He had killed so much that his hands were now numb and he was tired. And even after all this killing of monsters, none of his skills leveled up, though he felt they got progressively weaker as he fought on the third floor.
He also managed to gather quite a few Goblin Champion crystals and Hobgoblin crystals into his personal storage.
"There is a lot more to explore in this dungeon, but now while I’m at an exam, another time. Next time I’ll go deeper. For now, let’s complete the exams."
He sat down, leaned against a wall. He was feeling slightly sleepy. He hadn’t gotten a wink of sleep in a while and he had not seen any candidates while he was here, so he had been extremely lonely this whole time.
He looked at the strip to check the time, and twenty-two hours had already gone by so quickly.
"I guess time flies when you are killing monsters," he casually said and got up, headed out of the dungeon.
He wasn’t sure if the amount that he had gotten would be able to give him a top spot, but he was sure that he would be able to get into the academy.
When he reached the first floor and made it to the path that led out, he saw he was not the only person leaving now.
The hero, his three fiancées, the prince and princess, the elves, a boy from the Wolfman tribe, Noel, and a few others—they came out at the same time.
But that was the least surprising thing, because standing in front of them was William, a magical circle drawn from blood was under him, and his arm was bleeding.
[First major event has now begun. Survive.]
Suddenly the system sent a message out to him, and when he heard that, his face changed.
