Chapter 220: Chapter 151 Completion of the Task
Allen Zhang asked Sieg to carry the ten-faced Guanyin statue, pack up, and the two left the sewer exit, driving towards the motel where Black was staying.
In a few minutes, they drove to the Red Palm Motel on West Street, parked the Jeep by the roadside, and noticed that the motel was old and run-down. The second floor even had women’s bikinis hanging, and there weren’t many people around, the rent must be low.
They got out of the car and entered the motel.
There was an old man who looked to be in his fifties or sixties at the front desk, Allen wasn’t sure if he was the owner of the motel, who was immersed in watching short videos and drinking a Coke.
Seeing the two men enter, he nonchalantly asked, "Are you looking to rent a room? A standard double room is 60 US dollars, please provide a driving license. One person needs to register with one ID, two people need to register with two IDs."
"We’re here looking for someone," Allen Zhang said.
The old man immediately became alert upon hearing this, feeling that the newcomers meant trouble, "Looking for someone? I’m sorry, I don’t have the authority to disclose any guest’s identity. What are you here for? Anything else? If not, please leave immediately, otherwise I’ll have to call the police."
Sieg placed a 50 US dollar bill on the table, "Buddy, don’t be so serious, just pretend nothing happened. We’ll handle it quickly. You just need to nod or shake your head, is the person in room 340 a black person?"
The old man quickly pocketed the 50-dollar tip and changed his expression to a friendly one, nodding.
"Good, now please take us there so he can open the door, or give us the room key directly. We will make sure not to damage anything else in the room."
"That guy is actually an escapee, we are bounty hunters, chasing him!" Allen Zhang showed the man a CCW license, which is not something just anyone can obtain.
The old man, being a law-abiding citizen, realized these two were no ordinary people and didn’t want to cause trouble, he exhaled in relief, "Ok, I can help you capture that escapee, but 50 dollars is not enough."
"How much do you want?" Listening to the old man, they knew there was room for negotiation.
"At least another 50 dollars!" the old man said earnestly.
Allen Zhang smiled, "Fine!" without arguing further, he directly took out another 50 dollars in cash and handed it to the man.
The old man, happy and cooperative, quickly took out the keys and led them upstairs, straight to room 340.
He knocked on the door. A voice from inside asked, "Who is it?"
"Housekeeping." The old man said.
"I don’t need cleaning services," the black man inside said after a pause.
"Our motel has rules, please comply with our regulations. To prevent smoking or drug use, we must ensure the windows or ventilation fans are open, ensuring ventilation," the old man replied, "If you don’t comply, then we will have to forcibly open the door."
"What kind of bullshit rule is this? I’ve stayed in many motels and never heard of such a rule, why didn’t you mention it at the beginning? Are you doing this because I’m black, imposing extra requirements on me?"
The black man inside became angry.
"We are a legitimate motel, please understand and cooperate with our work. I need to make sure you are not smoking or using drugs inside, otherwise, I will have to inform local police for an inspection," the old man warned as he continued to knock on the door.
"Fine, just give me a moment!"
The black man calmed down his anger, and after considering, he actually agreed and was heard rustling around.
Allen Zhang and Sieg exchanged glances, each standing on one side of the door.
Soon, the door was opened from inside. A tall black man with dreadlocks, thick lips, and wearing a large chain peeked out, observing the environment outside.
Seeing only the white old man from the staff, without waiting for him to speak, he pushed the door open, grabbed the old man’s collar and dragged him inside, "Motherfucker! You asked for this!!"
"Hey!!" The old man was terrified, being dragged into the room like a little chick by the strong black man, "Help! Help!!"
Allen Zhang and Sieg didn’t expect him to be so fierce, taking advantage of their struggle, they kicked open the door.
Black was assaulting the old man, shocked he looked up at the two, "WTF!!"
Before he could react, Allen Zhang rushed over and kicked him three meters away.
Black held his chest, feeling like his bones were breaking, but quickly got up. He was about 1.9 meters tall, and quite sturdy. Angry, he picked up a wine bottle from the table and threw it at Allen Zhang, "Fuck you!!"
Allen Zhang dodged the bottle, sprinted forward, and with a backhand straight punch hit Black right in the nasal bone, a crunch was heard, and Black screamed as if hammered in the face.
Seeing stars, feeling dizzy and with blood pouring from his nose, he staggered and sat on the floor.
Allen Zhang kicked him down, mounted him, and delivered several hefty smacks.
Black curled up, shielding his head to dodge the attack, flipping like a bull trying to escape control. Allen Zhang let him turn, then pounced from behind, tightening his grip around his neck, his arms in a cross-fix executing a guillotine hold.
