America 1982-Chapter 649 - 150: The Best Birthday Gift_3
However, the two other characters in Jason’s conversation, Tommy and Charles, were not among the crowd in the backyard.
Al Gore’s wife, Mary Tipper Gore, was quietly asking the housekeeper Dorothy if she had seen her husband Gore, as he was nowhere to be found.
"Mr. Gore is currently visiting Jenny’s nursery, accompanied by Mr. Tommy," Dorothy said with a smile.
Colin Hawk, the head of the Hawk family, was walking all over the place with a bottle of pale ale in his hand, searching for his son Tommy. That damn boy already had a daughter but had no plans to marry Odelia. If it weren’t for the fact that Odelia seemed unaffected and had no intention of taking it out on her little granddaughter, he would have already pointed a gun at Tommy’s head, teaching him how to be a responsible man.
"Sophia, where is Tommy?" After roaming around the mansion for quite some time, he finally saw Sophia. Knowing that she was Tommy’s secretary, he strode over and asked, "What is he doing? He might not care about himself, but that’s his daughter, and there’s Odelia. He needs to show enough respect for his daughter and his wife, not hide in a corner and refuse to meet people!"
Sophia replied with a wry smile, "In truth, I’ve been looking for him too. Some guests want to talk to Tommy, but... as you can see, I have no idea which corner of the house he’s hiding in. His phone is with Page, and Page wouldn’t say what he’s up to, only that he’ll show up when the party officially starts."
"What is he up to? Dennis, Pam, and I came together, but Dennis is missing too, leaving only Pam in the backyard," Colin said suspiciously. "They better not be planning any pranks. They’d better not, because I’ll slaughter them if their lousy prank scares my granddaughter."
...
"I didn’t have George do volunteer work for so long just for pranks. George has sacrificed too much to be able to help them better," Tommy stood in front of a huge round table in the top-floor meeting room of the Eagle’s Nest, leaning forward with his hands on the table, looking at the people around him.
At the table, Charles, Gore, Ted, Dennis, and a dozen other white men of various ages looked at the muscular white man standing behind Tommy, known as Big George, following Tommy’s introduction.
"Are we going to openly hang niggers now?" Dennis, enjoying a special vacation, gently tapped his hands on the table and looked at Tommy.
His blunt question caused all eyes to turn to him. Noticing the attention, Dennis shrugged, "Sorry, should I not know? I mean, I wasn’t a part of SSD when Tommy made his oath at the headquarters, but I joined the West Point Chapter of SSD later. The former president told me that a fool at the headquarters once made such an impossible vow to clear his name; he didn’t mention the name, but I guessed it was Tommy because he said this person had a grandfather who helped tally the number of niggers each member killed for a bonus in the KKK. Tommy’s grandfather did just that. And to add, my grandfather was in charge of supplying weapons and fuel. He knew how to burn down niggers’ houses with the least amount of Molotov cocktails, earning everyone’s praise."
"This is no joke. Tommy’s oath is even more challenging than Mr. Hurl’s pledge to kill Jews back in the day. What he’s talking about is openly hanging niggers in the modern, civilized nation of America," Ted immediately responded, drawing everyone’s attention to himself:
"Of course, I’m not opposed. I just think it’s too difficult. If Tommy can fulfill his vow, as a reward, he should be promoted directly to become a member of the SSD Fraternity Grey Bishop Group, but what if he fails? No one will admit to it, and some might even come forward to accuse him of racism and at least publically sever ties with him. Tommy, you! You will lose everything you have now. So maybe you should just give up on fulfilling your vow to the brothers. Your wealth and current assets are enough to make the Bishop Group forgive your young braggadocio."
Charles patted Ted on the shoulder from the side, "Haven’t you realized? Since making his vow, everything he has done is to fulfill it. Television, newspapers, and the emerging computer networks—he aims to control public opinion as much as possible to frame the killing of niggers as self-defense, at most excessive self-defense. Do you think he’s greedy for wealth? No, this bastard is greedy for a position in the headquarters’ Bishop Group. By using this difficult vow to become an idol within, he can outlast or persuade the old folks in the Bishop Group and get the people seated here into the chairs of the Bishop Group members. Then, the more than twenty thousand living SSD members will become his wealth."
During the conversation, he looked at Tommy standing in front of the round table: "Fulfilling his vow to the brothers gives him the chance to become the youngest member of the Bishop Group in SSD history, besides the initial group of college student founders. The youngest member of the Bishop Group at headquarters is already fifty-two years old. If he succeeds, he will convince all members that he is omnipotent and they will be willing to heed his advice. After outlasting those old folks, he will become the Grey Pope of SSD, and now, he is striving to complete his papal coronation journey."
"He stands here not to discuss giving up. He’s already got that big fellow George and the neighborhood volunteer security mutual aid organization to incite a Korean to shoot an underage nigger. More such events will continue to happen, and his BT television network is trying to focus nigger attention on what this Korean has done," a skinny middle-aged white man, puffing on a cigar, spoke coldly. With each word, a puff of smoke emitted from his lips.
