America 1982-Chapter 648 - 150: The Best Birthday Gift_2
Before the other party had a chance to speak, a black and white Bell commercial helicopter already flew in from afar. As it swept over the trio’s heads, the gust of wind tousled their hair, blowing it wildly as the aircraft headed directly to the helicopter pad on the roof of Hawk’s Nest Estate.
"I don’t know much, just that the front yard is patrolled to prevent uninvited strangers from barging in, and the security identities between the more central estate floors and the backyard are even more complex. I, an FBI elite agent, am only fit to guard the gate," the young man smiled and answered.
The police officer glanced at the calm front yard behind him, then at his smiling face, "Just to help the elephant see the dentist?"
"That’s right, just to help the elephant see the dentist," the young man nodded:
"You have a choice; let my superior call your superior to ask you to turn around and leave, or have someone from the military call your superior."
"Kenny, calling B4, the Chief says it’s time for you two to pull out and leave the area," the voice of a woman came through the old cop’s shoulder radio at that moment.
The old police officer stared at the FBI man for a few seconds, then picked up his radio to respond, "B4 received, preparing to leave."
After hanging up, the old officer turned to the young man, "Looks like it was either your superior or someone else who already called ours."
Then he patted his partner’s shoulder, and the two of them turned around, got into the car, started the engine, and drove off.
Once the police car was out of his sight, the young FBI agent reported through his air earpiece, "Two officers received a community complaint call and have left. Can’t you guys teach that elephant to keep its mouth shut?"
"The guests don’t want the elephant to keep quiet, so we can only make those damn residents shut up. Think of a way to keep those idle fools from caring about whatever’s going on here. You’re the FBI," came the reply through the earpiece.
The young man said, "The FBI, aside from lying and intimidating, what good ideas can we have? If you ask me, I’d let my superior pass on some intel to the local precinct that a few violent black murders seem to have escaped to this community. For the sake of the residents, the police should persuade them to head back inside to play dead or leave temporarily and stay in a nearby hotel overnight. That way, both the elephant and they can enjoy a rare moment of peace."
Meanwhile, in the backyard of Hawk’s Nest, there was a festive atmosphere. Over two hundred guests who came for the banquet were drawn to the sight of an enormous American elephant on the lawn, anchored to the ground. Animal attendants and a vet were busy patching up its cracked tusks, gently fitting metal caps over the fractures, and adding metal protective caps to the pointed tips.
From a distance in the sunlight, it looked as if two huge golden rings and golden nails adorned the elephant’s tusks.
After confirming the size, the veterinarian removed the caps and looked at Stephen, who stood out in the crowd, spreading his arms toward the elephant and saying,
"Engrave my phone number and a message on the two rings: To the elephant Moon, this is the magical couple ring I’m gifting you. When you encounter any trouble, call this number, and I’ll send my godfather to help you. Love, your Tooth Fairy Jenny."
Pam, Catherine, Zoey, David, Chris, and other CS gang members were gathering around Odelia for a photo and chat; nearby, a nanny was carefully holding Jenny, Odelia and Tommy’s daughter, and the second child of the next generation of the Hawk Family. A month and a half ago, Ashley helped Tony give birth to a boy, named Hans.
Ashley and Tony, along with little Hans, couldn’t make it to Jenny’s party, as Ashley and Hans were recently staying in Hawaii, enjoying as much family time as possible with Tony.
Stephen walked over and gently touched Jenny’s tender little hand, his eyes filled with affection, "Your dad may be able to give you everything, but he definitely can’t give you this, an elephant that, as long as it doesn’t violate traffic laws, you can ride anytime for fun. Imagine, one day when you’re sixteen and you meet a bad boy as terrible as me or your dad, who breaks your heart. Then you can ride this elephant to crush his sports car and nuts, and then have the elephant call my number, and I’ll show up immediately, love from your godfather."
After finishing, Stephen affectionately lifted Jenny’s small hand to his lips for a gentle kiss.
"When it comes to spending money, we just can’t compare with Stephen. Your good friend has a daughter, and you think to adopt an elephant under the guise of rescue to give to her? It’s clear you just wanted to give Jenny an opportunity to ride the elephant legitimately, yet this reason managed to earn the gratitude of the zoo and animal rights organizations for Jenny’s elephant riding," Jason admitted admiringly to the side.
"Odelia made the right decision to let Stephen be Jenny’s godfather. According to Tommy’s thinking, if Charles were to be Jenny’s godfather, the gift he might give to Jenny would probably just be a book: ’How High School Girls Can Avoid Being Hit On by Yale Boys—Charles Salmon’s Autobiography,’" he remarked.
Susan, Susy, Holly, Mark, and even the long-absent vice president of the Stanford SSD Fraternity, Eric, were among the guests, enjoying the afternoon with champagne in hand, and all broke into laughter when they heard Jason’s comment.
