Alpha's mate is a male?!?-Chapter 189: Destroying Lila completely.
Chapter 189: Destroying Lila completely.
Kieran had never felt fear like this before.
Not when he fought battles.
Not when he faced enemies who wanted to tear him apart.
Not even when he rejected Ace long ago, thinking it was the right thing to do.
Nothing compared to this. Because this time, it wasn’t just about losing Ace.
It was about watching him become someone else, watching Ace’s body move, but knowing it wasn’t him inside. Lila had taken him.
For the first few seconds, Kieran couldn’t breathe. His mind rejected what his eyes were seeing.
Ace stood before him, but his posture was different, his movements unnatural. And then he turned, and Kieran saw his eyes, empty, unfamiliar, wrong.
No.
He stepped forward, reaching out without thinking, but before he could touch him, Ace .. no, Lila .. smirked.
"You look devastated, Alpha," she purred through Ace’s lips, tilting his head in amusement. "It’s painful, isn’t it? Knowing he’s in here, screaming, but he can’t do a damn thing about it."
Kieran’s entire body locked up. His hands clenched into fists, his jaw so tight it hurt. He didn’t care what Lila was saying. Didn’t care about her mockery, her taunts. The only thing he cared about was that Ace was still in there.
Max and Rica were already chanting, trying to contain Lila’s spirit, but Kieran barely registered them.
His entire focus was on Ace. Lila may have been speaking through him, but Ace was still there, and Ace was his. His everything.
So Kieran did the only thing that made sense. He grabbed him.
Ace’s body jerked as Kieran’s hands gripped his face, forcing their eyes to meet. And then, with a voice that cut through the air like a blade, Kieran spoke.
"Ace."
No response. Just another smirk from Lila.
Kieran’s fingers tightened, his hold possessive, desperate. "You hear me," he said, his voice a raw growl. "Ace,"
Lila laughed. "Oh, Kieran, its me, hi... actually this is fun than being in that damn woman’s body..."
"Shut up! I’m not talking to you."
Kieran tries to reach Ace, to touch him, but he lunges.
Before he can reach Ace, an invisible force slams into him, sending him flying.
His back hits the stone wall with a sickening crack, the impact rattling through his bones. The pain barely registers. His eyes, burning, desperate.
Ace’s body stands rigid, but it isn’t him. His hands twitch at his sides, his chest rises and falls in uneven breaths, but the thing inside him, Lila, holds the reins.
Kieran pushes himself up.
A second blast comes. Stronger. This time, it doesn’t just throw him, it crushes him against the wall, the dark magic pressing down like an iron grip.
His ribs scream in protest, but he grits his teeth, forcing himself to move.
He won’t stop.
Can’t.
Ace is still in there, fighting. He has to reach him.
Another attack comes, shoving him back. Kieran barely catches himself before hitting the ground, his boots scraping against the floor as he steadies his stance. Lila is relentless. But so is he.
The darkness coils around Ace, twisting his features into something not his own.
But Kieran sees past it. He sees the war raging beneath the surface, the flicker of resistance in Ace’s eyes, the struggle of a soul refusing to be silenced.
Lila snarls, frustration flickering across Ace’s stolen face. She flings her hand forward. A brutal force rushes at him, wild and searing, aiming to crush him completely.
Kieran dodges, barely. The air where he stood trembles, splitting apart with the sheer power of the attack.
He doesn’t hesitate.
Doesn’t stop.
Doesn’t care that his own body is taking hit after hit.
He charges.
Another blast comes. He braces himself, skidding back but refusing to fall.
Lila’s eyes glitter with amusement. Kieran feels it, though she seems to be struggling to stay in Ace body, like she is restless. She has power, but she can’t keep him back forever.
Because his strength isn’t just his own.
It’s theirs.
Kieran’s muscles tense, body coiled like a spring. He moves. Fast. Too fast for her to stop him this time.
He reaches Ace’s body.
Close enough to feel the warmth of Ace’s skin. Close enough to see the subtle tremble in his fingers, the rapid rise and fall of his chest. Close enough to know, Ace is still fighting.
Kieran reaches out.
Lila thrashes. A final desperate attempt to shove him away.
But Kieran’s fingers brush Ace’s wrist.
Ace’s body jerks.
His lips part on a sharp gasp.
But in an instant Lila takes over again.
~Max and Rica have been trying everything. Every spell, every incantation, every desperate attempt to force Lila out. But nothing works.
No surge of magic. No violent tremor signaling her expulsion.
Just Lila, standing there in Ace’s body, wearing his face like a twisted mask, mocking them.
Kieran watches, his fists clenched so tightly his knuckles turn white. His chest rises and falls with heavy breaths, his body thrumming with the kind of tension that feels moments away from snapping.
Why isn’t it working? Why can’t they get her out?
Max shakes his head, his voice tight with frustration. "We’ve tried everything. It’s like she’s... she’s fused to him."
Rica grits her teeth, glaring at Lila. "How is this even possible."
But Lila only smirks, lifting Ace’s hand, her hand, to trace lazy circles in the air. "Poor things," she taunts, voice dripping with condescension. "Still clinging to hope." She tilts her head, amusement flickering in Ace’s stolen eyes. "It’s adorable, really. But pointless."
Kieran’s jaw tightens. No. It’s not pointless. It can’t be.
His body moves before he even realizes it. One step forward. Then another. His heart pounds with a mixture of fury and fear.
"No," he mutters under his breath, barely a whisper. "That’s not possible. It’s not possible that you can’t get her out."
Desperation coils around his spine like a vice, he moves faster, shoving past Rica and Max before they can stop him.
Lila’s smirk doesn’t falter, but something in her stance shifts as Kieran gets closer. "Still so stubborn," she muses. "You could make this easier for yourself."
Kieran ignores her.
His hands move before thought, gripping Ace’s face **Lila’s face**forcing their eyes to meet.
Ace is in there. He has to be.
"Gosh, break these stupid spell on the exit so that I can get the hell out of here!" She says, as if fearing something.
Kieran ignores her.
"Ace," he whispers, voice trembling. His fingers press against his cheeks, thumbs brushing against his skin as if touch alone could bring him back. "Love."
Lila’s expression flickers. The smirk wavers, barely for a second, but Kieran sees it. And it’s enough.
His chest tightens, his own voice breaking. "By now, you should know my biggest fear," he whispers, fingers tightening. "You should know that my biggest fear is losing you, Ace. I would never, never survive knowing that I don’t have you anymore."
Ace’s body jerks. His hands twitch at his sides, like a trapped animal struggling against invisible chains. A flicker of resistance, a battle waging inside.
Lila growls, digging her fingers into her arms, forcing Ace back down. But Kieran holds on tighter.
"We’ve fought too hard, too long. This won’t be what brings us down." His voice wavers, but he doesn’t care. "I promise you... once we survive this, we’ll have our peace. No more running. No more battles. Just us."
Ace’s body stiffens violently. Lila fights back.
She clenches her jaw, hissing as Ace’s shoulders tremble under the weight of their struggle.
Her hands twitch like she’s losing control, her nails digging into her own palms-- Ace’s palms.
"No," Lila snarls, voice layered with something slipping.
Kieran sees the battle raging beneath the surface.
Ace’s fingers curl inward, his muscles tensing like he’s trying to break free.
Lila’s face twists in anger.
But Ace’s body shudders. His hands twitch against Kieran’s chest.
Kieran exhales sharply, his hands trembling. "You ended her once before. You can do it again," he pleads. "She’s inside you, right inside of you, Ace."
Kieran can see that Ace is really fighting with Lila, and he is just on the surface but unable to fight her spell completely.
He leans in, closing the space between them, his lips pressing against Ace’s with a desperation that goes beyond words.
It’s not just a kiss, it’s a lifeline, a forceful pull into reality, into him.
The moment their lips touch, Ace’s entire body jolts as if struck by lightning.
Heat rushes through him, a familiar warmth- Kieran. It tears through the suffocating darkness, cracking the walls Lila has built around his mind.
His breath stutters, his fingers twitch.
Lila screams inside him, her grip slipping, unraveling beneath the raw, undeniable truth of Kieran’s touch.
Ace finally breaks free.
Ace’s body thrashes violently. Fire ignites beneath his skin, his own power awakening.
Kieran doesn’t let go.
Even as Ace trembles violently, even as Lila shrieks in agony, even as the air turns suffocatingly hot, Kieran holds on.
Ace’s head snaps up.
His lips part as a wave of fire explodes from within him, but this time, it doesn’t burn outwardly. It burns inward.
Lila screams.
Her grip on Ace falters. Her presence shrieks inside him, writhing, disintegrating, fighting to hold on.
Ace’s breath comes in gasps, his entire body shaking with the force of it. His veins glow with heat, his soul fighting back, fighting for control.
Then Lila’s presence shatters.
A final, agonized wail echoes through the air, and then silence.
Ace’s body collapses.
Kieran follows him down, arms still locked around him, refusing to let go.
Ace’s breath is shallow. His fingers twitch against Kieran’s chest, weak, exhausted.
Kieran swallows thickly, cradling him, heart hammering so hard it hurts. freёnovelkiss.com
A single, barely audible whisper comes from Ace.
"Kier..."
Kieran exhales, his entire body sagging with relief. His forehead presses against Ace’s, his hands trembling as they cup his face.
"You’re back," he whispers. "You’re back."
Ace’s lashes flutter, eyes barely open, but he’s there. He’s there. Not Lila anymore.
