Alpha's mate is a male?!?-Chapter 149: Child Birth!
Chapter 149: Child Birth!
Blake barely registers the cries filling the room.
Her body is drenched in sweat, her breath coming in ragged, shallow gasps.
Every inch of her aches, the lingering pain of childbirth leaving her drained and hollow.
She stares at the ceiling, unblinking, her vision hazy with exhaustion.
Elira holds the newborn close, gently wiping the remnants of birth from his tiny body.
Elira moves closer, lowering herself beside Blake. "Here is your baby, a beautiful boy." she urges, her voice soft but firm.
Blake’s gaze flickers toward the baby, but she quickly turns away. Her throat tightens. "No..." Her voice is barely more than a breath, raw and full of pain. "Take it away."
Elira hesitates, glancing at Rika, who watches with quiet concern. "Blake..."
"I don’t want him," Blake cuts her off, her voice breaking. Her fingers clutch weakly at the sheets beneath her, her whole body trembling. "I suffered... I suffered so much. And for what? For this?" She squeezes her eyes shut. "And how about the one that made me like this?! Where is he?! He left me to suffer alone! I swear I’ll not stop until I revenge for what he did to me!"
Everyone in the room flinches. They have no doubt of whom she is talking about_ Rehan, but what she doesn’t know is that Rehan is no more_ dead.
Elira looks at her with unreadable expression, but among them, sympathy overtakes all.
But she doesn’t say anything or push her to take hold the baby.
Instead, she gently rocks the baby, trying to soothe his cries. The air in the room feels heavier, thick with exhaustion and unspoken emotions.
A sudden knock at the door makes Rika tense.
"Is it over?" Kieran’s voice comes through.
Rika quickly looks at Blake before answering. "Yes... Just a moment." fгee𝑤ebɳoveɭ.cøm
She knows they don’t have much time. Blake has to be taken back before anyone realizes she’s missing.
Moving quickly, Rika grabs a clean cloth and starts wiping the sweat and blood from Blake’s body, careful but efficient.
"We need to get her ready," she says, turning to Elira. "Do you have any pain-relieving herbs?"
Elira nods, reaching for a small pouch by her side. She carefully takes out a crushed blend of herbs and presses them to Blake’s lips. "Drink this. It will help with the pain."
Blake barely reacts as Elira tilts the mixture into her mouth. She swallows weakly, her body limp. Her lips move, forming words, but they’re incoherent, whispered remnants of thoughts slipping from her grasp.
Rika finishes cleaning her up and steps back, exhaling. "She’s ready."
Then she turns to the two she_wolves. "Call Kieran."
They nod walking out immediately. Just few seconds before Kieran steps in with Ace alongside him.
Kieran’s sharp gaze lands on Blake first... her pale, exhausted face, her half-lidded eyes filled with something distant and broken.
Then he looks at the baby, still whimpering in Elira’s hold.
Blake barely reacts to his presence. Her lips are still moving, but her words are a mess of exhaustion and delirium.
Kieran steps closer. "How is the baby? I need it to be under serious care, he has to survive," he says, his eyes hovering over him.
Elira nodes.
"Kieran, we need to erase her memory fast, we can’t leave her to remember any of this." Rika says, looking at Kieran.
The ability to remove memories is an ancient gift, a skill passed down among alphas, though rarely used.
It requires precision, pull too much, and you take more than intended. Leave too little, and traces of the past can linger, causing confusion or even madness.
"Yes, that is a must," he says, sitting beside Blake, placing a hand against her forehead.
His palm is warm against her clammy skin. His expression remains unreadable, but his fingers twitch slightly as he begins.
Blake has no energy to ask or fight anything as Kieran’s claws press past her skin, but not so deep.
Memory extraction isn’t just about taking
- it’s about entering. His power seeps into her mind like tendrils of smoke, searching, finding the fresh wound of the experience. The memory is still raw, open, pulsing with pain.
Blake gasps suddenly, her body stiffening.
Kieran sees it all. The agony of carrying the child. The endless suffering. The feeling of being trapped in a body that betrayed her.
Every contraction, every second of unbearable pain. The way her mind screamed in protest, telling her she would rather die than endure another moment.
The memory of this place, of the people she’s seen, of being pregnant, everything.
He takes it.
The memory unravels, peeling away like threads being pulled from fabric.
It doesn’t disappear, it transfers. Kieran absorbs the pain, the raw emotions, the unbearable weight of it. His own mind twists under the strain, but he doesn’t falter.
Blake shudders, her breath hitching.
Then- release.
Her body relaxes. Her eyelids flutter, and she exhales softly, sinking into the bed. Whatever thoughts had been tormenting her fade, replaced with a fog of emptiness.
She lays there_ unconscious.
Kieran pulls back, his hand leaving her skin. He closes his eyes for a brief second, collecting himself.
When he opens them again, he sees the change. Blake’s face is slack, her breathing even. The pain, the hatred, the torment- it’s all gone.
Kieran stands, adjusting his posture. "It’s done."
Elira shifts the baby in her arms. The cries have quieted to soft whimpers, but the newborn still stirs restlessly, seeking comfort.
Rika lets out a breath she didn’t realize she was holding. She looks at Kieran. "We should move now."
Kieran nods. He glances at the baby one last time before stepping back.
All this time, Ace has been concentrating on the baby. Looking at him with much love, but he can’t hold it because of how small he is.
"Max and Marsel enters, ready to carry Blake back to the car."
~
Ace had tried to convince Kieran to take him with them the next time they go, but Kieran totally refused.
Now Ace has no choice but watch them leave again. But this time, Jun and Rey also stay.
So it’s only- Kieran, Marsel, Rika and Max, taking Black back.
