Alpha's mate is a male?!?-Chapter 148: New born!
Chapter 148: New born!
The road stretches ahead, quiet- but Jun’s sudden exclamation shatters the silence.
"Oh God, there they are!"
Kieran’s gaze snaps to the road ahead, where figures struggle at the side.
The real medical team.
The alphas he had called earlier are struggling with them, it seems they just showed up right now.
Even from this distance, the confusion on the doctors’ faces is clear, they’re trying to resist, but the alphas remain firm, blocking any chance of escape.
Kieran doesn’t slow down as they pass by, even when the doctors yell for help. His fingers tighten around the steering wheel, but his expression remains unreadable.
"Good thing they got them, now we can finish everything and settle everything at once without distractions," he says, voice low yet resolute.
As they drive past, Rika risks a glance through the rearview mirror. "Wait, did you make it clear to them not to let go of those scientists until you ask them to?"
"Yeah, also before they let go of them, they will erase the memory of everything involving that incident," Kieran replies.
"Just the incident where they are kidnapped?! I mean, they should erase even the memory of them coming going for the girl, even those experiments, so that, when they are called, they won’t even remember what they were to do!" Jun suggests.
"You can call Rehan’s Beta, what’s his name again?! He’s with them? Tell them to do so." Kieran says without looking anywhere else other than the road.
Without even a single hesitation, Rey picks up his phone, dialing Jack’s number.

Blake remains still, unconscious between Max and Rika.
Max keeps a firm grip on her, holding her securely as the car speeds down the road. She’s fragile, barely responding, but at least she’s safe for now.
"She must have been given very strong drags, she is hardly responding to anything!" He says.
"I hope Elira’s plan will work perfectly on her." Marsel mutters.
Everyone hopes silently.
The world outside is nothing but a blur of trees and shadows as they rush back toward the pack lands.
Every second drags, stretching time unbearably, but Kieran refuses to let doubt creep in.
"We’re almost there," He murmurs, breaking the silence.
The lights of the pack house come into view like a beacon in the distance. Relief seeps into Kieran’s chest, but he doesn’t let his guard down yet.
Within an hour, they arrive.
Kieran barely waits for the car to fully stop before he throws the door open.
"Move," he orders.
Ace comes out to help.
Jun and Rey are the first to jump out, hurrying to help Max and Rika with Blake. Kieran watches as they carefully lift her, making sure she isn’t jostled too much before carrying her toward the house.
They made it back. But the hard part isn’t over yet.
Elira is already waiting.
The air is thick with the scent of burning herbs, a concoction she’s been preparing for the past hour.
A large bed, covered in fresh sheets, sits at the center of the room, surrounded by bowls of warm water, soft towels, and a mix of unfamiliar but strong-smelling medicines.
"Lay her down, quickly!" Elira instructs, her voice firm and unwavering.
Max and Rika gently place Blake onto the bed. She’s pale, her body limp, breaths shallow.
A sheen of sweat coats her forehead, but she doesn’t stir. The unconscious state she’s in is unnatural, forced, likely from whatever drugs they had given her.
Elira wastes no time. She kneels beside Blake, her experienced hands reaching for a small bowl filled with thick, dark liquid.
Without hesitation, she pries Blake’s lips apart and tilts the bowl, forcing the herbal remedy into her mouth.
Her fingers massaging Blake’s throat to help the liquid go down.
Everyone stands still, barely breathing, as they wait. The room is eerily silent except for the occasional crackle of the fire in the corner and the soft rustle of fabric as Rika shifts uneasily.
Seconds pass.
Then, Blake gasps.
Her body jerks as if an invisible force just yanked her from the depths of unconsciousness.
She coughs, sputtering out the remnants of the thick herb mixture, her chest heaving as she struggles to breathe.
Her fingers clutch at the sheets, gripping them tight as her unfocused eyes dart around the room.
"Blake!" Rika moves closer, but Elira raises a hand, signaling for her to stay back.
Blake’s breathing is ragged, her body trembling, confusion clouding her expression. For a brief moment, it seems like she’s trying to make sense of where she is, who’s around her...
Then she screams.
The sound rips through the room, raw and filled with sheer agony.
Her hands fly to her stomach, clutching it as if trying to hold herself together. Her face twists in pain, and suddenly, everything clicks.
The herb has triggered labor pain.
Elira moves swiftly, pressing a firm but reassuring hand to Blake’s forehead. "It’s all right, Blake," she soothes, her voice steady despite the tension in the air. "It’s okay."
Blake gasps through clenched teeth, her body arching as another contraction seizes her.
"You all will need to leave the room," Elira says, looking up at the others.
Kieran hesitates, his jaw tightening, but one look from Elira tells him there’s no room for argument.
He leaves, and the rest follow. Leaving Elira, Rika and other two elder she_ wolves.
The door clicks shut behind them.
Inside, the room is thick with tension. The only sounds are Blake’s ragged breaths and Elira’s calm instructions as she moves to position herself at the foot of the bed.
"It hurts," Blake grits out, sweat trickling down her temple.
"I know," Elira says gently. "But it won’t for long."
She grabs another bowl filled with crushed leaves and mixes them into a paste before applying it along Blake’s lower abdomen.
Almost instantly, Blake’s body shudders, the pain visibly dulling as her muscles slowly relax.
"There," Elira says. "That will numb the worst of it. Now, listen to me carefully. When I tell you to push, you push. Do you understand?"
Blake thrashes weakly, her breath coming in short, ragged gasps. "No... no, I can’t..." she chokes out, her body trembling violently.
"You have to," Elira says firmly, her hands steady as she presses a warm cloth to Blake’s forehead. "The baby is coming, and you need to push it out."
Rika tightens her grip on Blake’s hand. "I know, I know, it hurts but you’re strong," she urges, her voice laced with determination. "You can do this!"
Another contraction rips through Blake’s body, and she lets out a raw scream, twisting in pain.
The elder she-wolves move quickly... one supporting Blake’s back while the other checks below.
"It’s coming fast," one of them murmurs, passing a towel to Elira.
Blake whimpers, sweat dripping down her temples. "Make it stop," she pleads, chest heaving.
Elira doesn’t hesitate. "Listen to me, Blake. I can take the pain away, but you have to keep push. Just a little bit."
Blake sobs but clenches her jaw as another unbearable wave of pain crashes over her.
"The head is crowning!" Elira announces.
Blake lets out a strangled cry, her entire body stiff with exhaustion and agony.
"One more push, Blake," Elira urges. "I promise, just one more."
Blake shakes her head wildly, tears spilling down her cheeks. "I can’t..."
"You will," Elira insists, her voice unwavering.
With a final, desperate scream, Blake pushes with everything she has left. The pressure reaches its peak... and then suddenly, the weight inside her shifts, and something slips free.
For a moment, there is only silence.
Then, a soft, whimpering sound... light, almost hesitant.
Rika gasps.
The elders freeze, eyes widening as they take in the tiny, fragile creature in Elira’s hands.
A newborn wolf.
Covered in damp fur, small ears flattened against its tiny head, the pup lets out a weak whine, curling into Elira’s touch. The room is utterly still, everyone holding their breath.
And then, before their very eyes, the small wolf’s form shifts. The fur recedes, limbs elongating, and within seconds, a newborn baby lies in Elira’s hands... pink, wrinkled, and alive.
A sharp, piercing cry fills the air.
Rika lets out a choked breath, tears spilling freely now.
Blake, barely conscious, pants heavily, her body limp against the bed.
