Alpha's Lost Luna Returns With His Twins-Chapter 306-56 Lashes
Lara:
I have finally won. Iris had been kicked out after ruining Kash’s life in the worst way possible. He made sure to show her her worth when he chose me over her, and he did it in the most brutal way.
That was because she had betrayed him in the worst possible way. She chose Markus over him. She chose a scumbag like Markus over her husband, the Alpha King, over the father of her children. She stooped so low that I started to wonder if she had always been that evil.
I mean, I know part of it was constructed by me and Markus, but the truth remained the same. She liked spending time with Markus so much that she ignored Kash. That was why she ended up in this situation.
I do not believe she was nice enough to do so much for Zoe that her own relationship was getting scarred. She was just having fun with Markus. That is what women like Iris do. They crave the attention of men.
While I, the Alpha King’s daughter, do not have such dreams or wishes. I only want one man’s eyes on me.
"Calm down. Everything will be okay. You will be fine," I said to Kash when we were returning to the mansion.
However, he was very anxious. I noticed he kept looking at the screen behind us and checking the rearview mirror, even when the prison was far behind.
"I’m going to get the papers ready for divorce," he whispered, and my heart instantly dropped.
It was a good kind of drop.
"Are you sure? Do you not want to give her a chance to explain herself?" I mumbled, trying to sound gentle and considerate.
I also wanted to make it seem shocking to me. How could she do this? Why would she do this? Did she not have everything?
"Lara, there is no explanation for what I saw. The only thing left is to ask her how many other times," he replied, biting his tongue before looking away.
"I hate her," he muttered under his breath.
My heart found comfort.
"You have me," I said sweetly, placing my hand on his shoulder.
His body wanted to relax, I could tell, but it was too soon. It was not easy for him to forget her betrayal.
Then, just like he had said he would, he stopped in front of the council building. He did not say anything, and I did not ask any questions. He walked into the building while I remained seated outside.
I was receiving many calls from Lady Vivian. I had ignored them at first because I did not want to answer in front of Kash, but now that he was inside the building, I responded.
"Hello," I replied, waiting for Lady Vivian to move somewhere quieter.
I guessed she was with Zoe because I could hear Zoe crying in the background. Slowly, the cries faded as Lady Vivian likely walked away.
"I cannot see my daughter so hurt. And that woman cursed her. She ruined us. She ruined my daughter’s peace of mind and my son’s life," Lady Vivian began, immediately cursing Iris.
Well, she really did fuck up Kash too.
"He’s so upset," I mumbled, checking my makeup in the mirror.
"But don’t worry. Now that she will be away from him, everything will finally fall into place. Besides, he has me. I’m giving him good news. Soon he will be too busy with the baby to even think about the betrayal of that witch," I commented, smiling at myself.
"I am relying on you only, Lara. Without you, I do not know what I would do. But you will have to make sure that Kash is in better hands," Lady Vivian urged, sniffling as she watched her daughter break down.
"Don’t worry. He is in good hands," I reassured her, straightening my posture. "But I’m worried about Zoe. I know Markus was drugged and all, but he had been spending time with Iris. Why was he wasting his time with her?"
She complained, then paused as if remembering something.
"Oh, I remember. He said they were both trying to plan a surprise for their spouses," she added.
As soon as she said that, I coughed and she noticed.
"What is it?" she questioned, worry forming in her voice.
I began to think about it, and I realized I did not want Markus around. But if Markus and Zoe divorced, that would mean Zoe would stay with Kash forever, and I did not want that.
I did not have to worry about what would happen to Zoe. Why should I worry about her going to live with a cheater, a master manipulator, someone who had already started another family? For all I care, she could go to hell.
"No, nothing. I was just thinking about how Iris single-handedly tried to ruin Zoe’s marriage," I said, watching Kash walk out of the office with some papers in his hands. "And you know why that happened?"
She stayed silent.
"Because Zoe had been living with her brother, with all those women around him, around Markus. If he had been working, going to a job, handling regular responsibilities with Zoe, he would not have asked women like Iris to plan surprises for her. I hope you understand." I smiled sneakily.
"Okay, listen. Kash is here. I’ll talk to you later," I quickly rambled, subtly taking Markus’s side so no doubt would fall on him before I ended the call and straightened in my seat.
Kash got into the car and did not say a word. However, he threw the papers onto the dashboard.
I subtly adjusted my posture to get a better look. And sure enough, they were divorce papers, documents about child custody, and other related matters.
There was also one other paper that caught my attention. It was an order for caning, already signed by Kash, sentencing Iris to fifty-six lashes.
I leaned back in my seat happily, thinking about her punishment. It would be so much fun. I would even request that it be recorded.
