Almighty Father System-Chapter 405: Trial.

The on duty police men all rushed over quickly and they wanted to apprehend Leo when the latter stood up and said, "The man you all are trying to save from me, is a rapist and I will prove it in the next hearing. Simmons Carter, just you wait and watch how miserably you suffer."

Simmons Carter looked at Leo with shock as he panted and watched Leo walk away with his client and sister. Lily also didn't care, she had Zeenat beside her and went back to the school group.

Leo was pissed off by the audacity that Simmons had shown before him. Even though the latter was warned inside the court room, he still dared to talk shit like this. Leo was angry and as soon as they reached home, he went to his study and began to dig in the life of Simmons Carter. He was merciless, he found that Simmons Carter came from a mediocre business family.

He was the second son of the family and thus he was pampered by his parents. His elder brother was due to inherit the company from his father, but due to the age gap between the two siblings being too much the elder son also liked Simmons.

Thus he was spoiled and this was the reason he was so wild in his ways. Leo was digging the dirt using the digital footprints left behind by the Carter Family. He was going to destroy another family and he wanted to be thorough about it. As he was working Snow came inside the study. She was not here to stop him.

As a woman she hated the people who misused their power and wealth to bully the weak and she hated when it was a heinous crime against women. She had come over to check if Leo was calm now.

The young lady got her answer when she saw him printing the papers of the various things that he found useful. Finally, he picked up the phone and made a call to June. The call was connected and Leo said, "June, I want you to contact a few people from the list that I have sent you and try to convince them to appear in the court the day after tomorrow. You can tell them that we will assure their safety."

June nodded and said, "Alright Sir, I will get to it right away."

Leo had located many people who have filed complaints against Simmons Carter but these people had not received any compensation from him, they were just intimidated into giving up the idea to fight them legally, after all, appearing in the court demanded a lot of resources and they didn't have any hopes.

However, when June reached out to these people with the name of the Cardinal Family and how Leo Cardinal, the multi-billion yuan company's president was personally leading the trial against this man, they volunteered to avenge.

Hell hath no fury like the scorn of a woman, this was not just a saying, but the ultimate truth that Simmons Carter was about to experience in full reality.

The next day, Leo was consumed with his preparation to deal with Simmons, but even so, he spent time with his twins, as they were moved to a remote cradle in the study room. Then Leo invited Artemis and prepared her for the questions that the Prosecution might ask her and while she was ready for it all, Leo still said things that caused the girl to break down multiple time. However, she held on and continued.

In the noon, Leo patted her head with a smile that made her realize that she has succeeded, nothing that the prosecutor asked after this would break her. Also, Leo said, "Just because he can ask you things, doesn't mean that I will let him. Believe in your resolve and my hatred for that man, he will not last."

Artemis nodded and then he proceeded to handle his children before putting them down back again and he picked up the books from the study and began to read them to the kids. Artemis could not understand why Leo was so loved by the children, because she found him rather intimidating.

The night came and Leo personally cooked the dinner and even invited the Holl family to join them. The Cardinals were not like the pretentious rich people, they were genuinely trying to integrate them among them. Fragrance was happy to see this, and the rest of the family gradually helped Artemis calm down, well she was quite shaken since the preparation with Leo.

Lily worked her charm on the family of three, and even played Piano for them making them all smile and thank Leo. This was the first time they have had such a relaxed time in quite a long while.

The next morning, Leo and the Holl family headed to the court as they had the trial starting. June had driven the PR department of the company and they made a big splash, although none of the people dared to approach Leo and the identity of the girl he was representing were kept a secret, the rest of the details were dried out in the public.

Within an hour, the stocks of the Carter Enterprises fell and they were under the waves.

Leo stood in the court hall, with Artemis sitting beside her. The judge was already seated and the proceedings have begun with Leo handling the prosecution submissions first. The young man picked up two stacks of documents and passed one of them each to the reader and the defense table as he said, "This is the evidence that we have collected through our investigation. The Prosecution believes that they are enough to establish the moral foundation of the accused and we have also submitted a list of witnesses that we would like to call over to testify with evidence to support the testimony, and Your Honor, the prosecution would like you to issue a restraining order to prevent the accused or anyone involved with him even remotely from approaching the witnesses to intimidate them."

The defense lawyer stood up and said, "Your Honor, is the prosecution trying to malign my client even before the judgment is out?"

Leo retorted, "The defense can reserve their right to sue me for defamation if my words are proved wrong after the judgment is out."

The judge also nodded and said, "That's final then, the court will issue the restraining order, and any violations would be considered a punishable offense. The trial will resume tomorrow after lunch after the evidence submitted has been examined. Till then the court is adjourned."

Leo and the defense lawyer bowed to the judge before they picked up their stuff and left. Today, Simmons didn't dare to say anything to Leo or Artemis, because he was shocked from the near death experience he had yesterday.

Leo and the trio returned home, and found Fragrance sitting on the couch as she fired off, Leo answered her, and Mister Holl asked after the interrogation finished, "How can that much evidence be examined so quickly?"

Fragrance replied, "Thanks to the AI analysis, it is all a really quick process now a days, but the tool is just used to streamline the information and facts listed in the evidence, and nothing else. The trial decision still resides with the human judge."

Leo shook his head and said, "Don't worry about it, he will not survive tomorrow."

Then he went upstairs and found his twins. He picked up Elena who asked curiously, "Baba, are you very busy?"

Leo shook his head and said, "I am not, for you all, never."

Elena smiled and giggled, they both were now growing quickly and already had a healthy height and weight ratio. Julian also giggle before Leo asked, "Do you two wish to stand up?"

He then helped them stand up one by one, before putting them to sleep and came downstairs to prepare dinner.

On the other side, the Carter family was going through a hard time. With the fall of the stocks, their family was under the waves. Many investors wished to retreated and the banks wished for the debts to be paid. This was getting tough and the family had to make a choice. At this moment, Simond Carter, Julie Carter, Harvey Carter and his wife, Emilia Carter were all sitting in the study room.

Emilia had a cold face, as she said, "I don't want to make anything big out of this in the troubled times, but I have stated many times, that he was a menace and none of you understood that. Even now, you wish to save him?
