Agent of Seraphim-Chapter 66: Chaos Element

A soft touch had caressed over Brand’s hair, eyes and face. Ruby greets him as he wakes up, wiping tears accumulated at the end of his eye socket. He had returned to the ruin.

"She had been by your side since you lost consciousness." The little angel flew to him, checked, and sat on his head.

"Felt anything?" Seraphine asked.

He put his hand on his chest, which was still trembling with the sudden surge of energy. The energy flow was chaotic. Completely different than what he felt before.

He felt as if he was having motion sickness when he focused too long on the chaotic energy flow.

He also felt oddly energetic. His blood circulated faster, and he breathed more easily than before.

’As if I had a second heart...’

[You have manifested a Dragon Heart.]

Sweat rolling down his forehead, as he stared at the System notification.

’What did it mean by that? Was it because of the black orb earlier?’

He did feel hot after consuming the orb and his consciousness. But all he had done afterward was have a dream...

"Hmphh!" Seraphine looks displeased, but gives a brief introduction on the Dragon Heart mentioned.

"The lizard just gave you an energy essence of her own. You kenw the dragons was the strongest being in the world right?" Seraphine explained. "If the dragons were S rank, as the Queen of Dragon, she would be SSS rank!"

"It was pain to say, but she had the same authority as our beautiful, kind and benevolent Seraphim..." 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂

A sense of admiration rose in his heart after hearing what Seraphine had just said. This meant that the Queen of Dragon had shared her power to him—the Dragon heart.

’But why did she share her power to me? Was finding the four statues difficult enough that she needed to do that?’

He felt his heart—the Dragon Heart—raced, as if reacting to something. The ground vibrated, as if resonating with his heartbeat. It was then that his intuition kicked in.

The direction to the second worm statue in the ruin was not far from his location. He could see a trace of energy thread connecting him to the worm statue.

After gaining the Dragon Heart, Brand had checked the differences it brought to his body, besides reacting to the worm statue.

Using the spare time he had while traveling, he conjured the spells. This was the first time he used spells other than Debuff Cubes, since he arrived in this world.

"You’re learning fast." Ruby was looking at him with odd gazes. "It took me a whole day to learn the spell."

In his left hand was a small fireball with black flame.

"That was the Wyona’s element. Chaos." Seraphine explained. "A disgusting power, to be honest."

"Hmm... but it sounds like a strong thought." He replied as he examined the black flame in his hand.

"You just had this weird obsession with the word ’Chaos’..." Seraphine shot him a scrutinizing glance.

Meanwhile, Ifrit was enjoying the banter between Seraphine and him. As if looking at a reality show.

"You don’t understand... So many games that I had played... Chaos was always the strongest and most unpredictable power!" He was kinda excited about gaining a new power. Still, now he was even more so, so he checked with Seraphine once again about the effect of this element.

Seraphine shook her head in disappointment, but she proceeded with explaining the Chaos element to him and staying true to her role as a guide.

"There were four elements constitute to the magic, spells, skills and even combat arts." She explained. "Wind, Fire, Water and Earth."

"These four elements could interact with each other, to create many more elements, that you can think of."

"However, there were two more elements that stands as themselves. Order and Chaos."

"These two elements do not interact, each other elements."

"That’s for when they were to come close to the four elements."

"But when they were to be near each other, they would clash with each other so hard, that a vortex of energy would be created, even with small energy."

Brand was convinced. The reason Seraphine and the Queen of Dragon do not get along with each other is that their element are opposite to each other. To hear there was such an insane reaction between them...

Then a thought clicked in his mind.

"If my GHOST Core continued to upgrade, I would eventually obtain skills with Order element, right?"

"If so, I would have the two clash elements!"

He was actually excited about the idea, as he began to imagine combining the two opposing elements, just like the wuxia novels he had read. Immense power would be created when Order and Chaos came into contact with each other.

’Maybe an explosion would occur?’

He grinned while imaginary scenes were playing in his head.

Ruby nudged him on the shoulder as she looked at him with puppy eyes.

’Ruby...’

Ruby’s personality previously was so strong, but after descending to the underground to help him and the transformation of the Spirit Form, she had become soft and calm.

Knowing Ruby had a strong pride, she still approached him first. He would listen attentively to what she says.

"Ermm... What is it?" He asked Ruby, who was holding his palm up, and examined the black flame.

"This was the first time I came so close with the legendary element, Chaos." She shared her excitement to him.

She continued to explain the uniqueness of the Chaos element. However, Brand had some knowledge imbued in him after learning from Seraphine directly.

However, he still listens to Ruby quietly and patiently.

’She’s talkative when it comes to magic.’

Soon, they arrived in a chamber, which was much smaller than the earlier one. However, there were no ornaments in the chamber.

Brand and the parties had gone quiet, as there was a monster standing guard at the entrance to the chamber.
