After work, start to speedrun the other world-Chapter 476 - 184: Lamenting the Helplessness of the Gods_2
But now, the All Gods needed to use their lives to buy time.
Even a heart kingdom that spans several nations could be used to kill a god, something that would have been absolutely impossible before.
And just then,
"Return to order!" the God of Order, clad in silver armor, unfolded his kingdom of order within his heart, overlapping with Ahtal’s Ash Kingdom.
The Ash Fire, vast enough to cover several nations, suddenly weakened and was divided into grids, allowing the gods a breath of respite.
However, with the flickering of the Ash Fire, the manifested kingdom of order was at constant risk of being burned away.
This was an expected outcome, the Ash Fire, meant to burn the world, would only result in one end for the overlapping heart kingdoms.
And that was to be reduced to ashes.
But it was enough.
The gods within the Ash Fire also reacted, although their numbers were greatly reduced, with only a dozen or so remaining.
They unleashed... power.
In this world, aside from gods who reached the Almighty Realm, it was impossible to defend against over a dozen powers simultaneously.
The God of Senses stripped Ahtal of his perception.
The God of Desire stripped Ahtal of his desire.
The God of Order suppressed the power of the Ash Kingdom.
The God of Stasis suppressed Ahtal’s actions.
The God of Hunger stripped Ahtal of his energy.
And so on, a multitude of powers were instantly applied to Ahtal, rendering him incapable of fighting.
They won.
Of course not.
The All Gods never expected the King of Ash to be defeated so easily, nor did they plan on defeating him; their sole aim from the beginning was to delay Ahtal from burning the Tree, until Ahtal’s humanity was consumed by the flames.
By then, there would be only one choice.
Release the God of Omniscience, which compared to the world being reduced to ash, is a far better option; to allow the God of Omniscience to purge all chaos.
This was the plan of the Future Goddess, who believed in the ability of the God of Omniscience to delay the arrival of Ragnarok, thus she was reluctant to allow Ahtal to burn the Tree of Omniscience.
Rather than relying on new laws to overwrite the old, the Future Goddess placed greater trust in the capabilities of the God of Omniscience.
"This guy’s growing too fast," said the God of Destruction, emerging from nowhere. Ash Fire clung deep into his flesh, relentlessly burning his flesh into char, evoking a heart-stopping sensation.
Having only come into contact for a short time, yet dealing heavy blows to the gods, this was beyond his expectations. If he hadn’t achieved omnipotence,
he might indeed have been killed by Ahtal.
"Don’t try to attack Ahtal," the distant God of Hunger suddenly spoke up, "It would be bad if Ahtal were to regain consciousness due to the stimulus."
"Hmm," the God of Destruction looked gravely at Ahtal floating in midair. Ahtal, deprived of senses, desire, and energy, momentarily ceased moving, fulfilling their condition to buy time.
This was the consequence of not having reached the Almighty Realm – even with the power to destroy worlds, one could still be affected by specialized powers.
"Does this seem a bit too easy?" the God of Desire voiced his doubt. For the Lord Ash to be so easily constrained was... too easy. It felt unreal.
"Look at how many gods are still alive," the God of Destruction shook his head, prompting the God of Desire to look around and realize that out of hundreds of gods, only a dozen remained after the brief encounter.
And even those surviving few were wounded.
The God of Desire fell silent, a sense of fear welling deep inside him. The loss exceeded his threshold of acceptance.
"To delay is the best outcome we could hope for," the God of Senses slowly said, "Ahtal’s humanity is continuously being burned."
The God of Destruction nodded slightly, and then glanced at the All-Knowing Saintess, his form suddenly vanishing.
"Don’t try to wake him," he positioned himself before Eden, the third eye on his forehead fully opened, "I really don’t want to fight you."
Eden calmly said, "Ahtal is awakening."
"..." The God of Destruction subconsciously looked over and saw Ahtal’s fingers slightly twitch.
"Ragnarok will not allow the King of Ash to stop," Eden gave an explanation, "Upon sensing that the King of Ash has ceased activity, it would immediately provide corresponding support, until the King of Ash completely burns this world to ashes."
"I knew it couldn’t be that simple!" The God of Destruction clenched his teeth and shouted at the sky, "God of the Path, open the road to the present world."
As these words fell, a path to the present world appeared out of nowhere, and the God of Destruction took the opportunity to fiercely unleash a fist that could disintegrate all things.
Meanwhile.
The God of Desire, God of Senses, God of Stasis, and God of Hunger also coordinated their powers, attempting to reseal Ahtal.
Not seeking to kill Ahtal, merely delaying would be sufficient.
However, Ahtal still woke up and, with a casual flick of the Sword of Light in his hand, blocked the punch from the God of Destruction. His body was carried away by the impact, disappearing into the path to the present world.
"Remember to seal any path leading to the Tree of Omniscience," The God of Destruction’s figure chased out, intending to delay Ahtal in the present world with his own strength.
Now he had understood one thing, gods who had not arrived at Universal Level had no right even to fight before Ahtal and would easily be wiped out by the Ash Kingdom that he unfolded.
Better that he himself take the risk to hold back Ahtal.
The path to the present began to close rapidly.
And before it was completely sealed off, the God of Senses, relying on his special power, witnessed Ahtal’s lips move slightly, then saw a clone that looked identical to Ahtal burst in.
"Bang." The moment the Ahtal clone landed, the path behind him was also completely sealed. The entire process was so fast it was as if instant teleportation had been employed.
No, it was almost the same as instant teleportation.
The God of Order reached out his hand into the void and drew out a gorgeously made longsword. He noticed why the Ahtal clone moved so quickly, first applying a guaranteed hit effect to a specific area, then turning his body’s Ash Fire into light, thus achieving speed akin to instant teleportation.
"..." Xi Mu looked around at the remaining All Gods present, locking his gaze on the God of Order, "You are one who has reached the omnipotent realm, aren’t you?"
The God of Order did not answer.
If he had not reached the Universal Level, he would not have been able to counter the Ash Kingdom unfolded by Ahtal with his own kingdom within the heart.
"Next time, don’t dress so conspicuously," Xi Mu lamented and then appeared behind the God of Order. He swung a sword containing a guaranteed hit effect, piercing the God of Order’s body.
The scorching Ash Fire swallowed the God of Order’s body.
After becoming the King of Ash, the mechanism freak was no longer the All Gods, rather he himself seemed like a mechanism freak, turning the game difficulty into mowing down opposition.
Originally, players facing all manner of mechanism freaks had to think and find countermeasures, but after becoming the King of Ash, they could get straight to the solution without worrying about wasting their progress bar.
Although in this process they would encounter many gods with strange powers, leading to unexpected defeats for players. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦
But ultimately, they could rely on even more cheating mechanisms to push through.
...
...
Underworld.
Inside the cavern.
Xi Mu looked at the Flame Giant Surter not far away, their gazes overlapping into a single line, creating an extremely subtle atmosphere.
Time had been reset to the fierce battle with the Flame Giant Surter, but the situation had subtly changed.
Now he was the King of Ash, whereas Surter had lost the status of King of Ash.
Surter also understood the current situation. He had lost to Ahtal before the time reset, now not knowing how many resets had occurred.
"We meet again, goodbye," Xi Mu declared, flicking the Sword of Light in his hand, the stream of light with a guaranteed hit effect engulfing the Flame Giant Surter. Thus, Surter’s experience points were harvested once more.
"Lord Ash, what have you encountered in the future?" The blindfolded nun folded her hands before her lower abdomen and walked over with dignified steps.
Not far away were the Witch of Death, Goddess of Life, and others.
"I encountered interception by the All Gods," Xi Mu replied. "They couldn’t beat me, so they resorted to cheating."
