After Rebirth, the Celebrity Daughter is the Medical Expert!-Chapter 62 - 53: All the Best (Part 4)
After everyone got to know each other, You Guang took the white chubby young man’s hand, warmly saying, "Uncle, Wangyue will be playing with me today. My little uncle will send us off. Would you let little Wangyue go out with me?"
"Sure, sure, let Guang classmate take the baby," he replied.
The white chubby young man knew the baby loved playing with Guang classmate.
"Thank you, uncle, but I want to see you go home first, okay?" The little girl gently frowned, her finely carved face full of worry, "Once you’re home, I’ll take Wangyue to play; otherwise, we’ll worry about you being out alone and won’t be able to play at ease." Yet, her voice was as soft as water.
Wangyue’s father was most afraid of making others unhappy.
He knew he couldn’t bother others.
As soon as Guang said that, he immediately let go of Guang and his son and obediently turned around, jogging home. As he ran, he turned back, saying, "I’m going home, you all have fun."
"We will have fun." You Guang waved vigorously at the white chubby young man, his face full of joy.
But inside, layers of heartache rose.
The few people present only got into the car to leave after the white chubby young man’s figure completely disappeared within the Shi family’s yard.
The car slowly traversed through the greenery.
Xia Xiqing and Xia Dai sat in the front row, falling silent for a moment.
You Guang, however, sat calmly in the back, chatting with Wangyue: "Little Wangyue, didn’t you have breakfast?"
"I had bread and milk." The young boy’s voice was deep, his mood having calmed down.
"Oh, today we left a bit early. Are you hungry, want some snacks?"
"Wangyue, I have some cashews here. Do you want any?" Xia Dai asked from the front.
"I’m also hungry, son, quickly get me a bread," Xia Xiqing also said to his son.
"Sure, sure, sure."
Xia Dai reached into the snack bag at his feet, pulled out a bread, tore it open, and handed it to his father’s mouth. Xia Xiqing took a big bite.
In such a lively atmosphere, the boy who was originally a bit sullen gradually relaxed.
On the road from Shi’s house to the airport, the chatter in the car never ceased.
Xia Xiqing and Xia Dai intentionally or unintentionally tried to lift the mood in the car, and Ning Youguang talked more than usual.
Upon meeting Zhang Xuexi and his son at the airport, the chatter and laughter grew even louder.
This time, You Guang wanted to travel to the Arctic, and Xia Xiqing was eager to seek help from Zhang Xuexi, a seasoned travel expert, since the Zhang family was in the travel business.
Hearing the little chef wanted to send three elementary school graduates to the Arctic, Zhang Xuexi was intrigued by the idea, finding it cool, and decided on the spot to let his son Zhang Kejiu, who was in second year of middle school, join them.
Once the itinerary was decided, he quickly put together the travel plan and decided to go with the kids.
Xia Xiqing reaching out to him had this intention, too.
Zhang Xuexi understood immediately and agreed.
Today, sending Zhang and his son to the airport was Zhang Xuexi’s wife, Cui Hong.
Ning Youguang saw Zhang Xuexi and his son a few times a year, but rarely saw Cui Hong.
This time, upon seeing her face, she couldn’t help but take a few more glances, forming her own judgment. She decided that after this trip, she’d ask her little uncle to arrange a meal with the Zhang family to have a proper chat with them then.
Zhang Kejiu, now 14, was a little chubby boy when he was younger. He had grown taller but was still chubby.
Standing nearly six feet tall, from a distance, he looked like a moving little mountain.
Upon seeing him, Xia Dai couldn’t help but whisper in his ear, "Kejiu brother, weren’t you trying hard to lose weight?"
Zhang Kejiu scratched his head, giving a wry smile, "I tried, but it didn’t work."
Older now, Zhang Kejiu was more introverted than he was as a child. When he saw You Guang, he shyly greeted her, "Hello, Guang sister."
