After Divorce, Hidden Marriage Husband Became Addicted to Me-Chapter 443 - 309: Seeking Her Opinion
Chapter 443: Chapter 309: Seeking Her Opinion
The woman glanced at Tang Xi and the girl sitting across from Fu Tingzhou, her eyes revealing confusion, inquiry, and jealousy, yet she still smiled at Fu Tingzhou and said, "Brother Tingzhou, I’m Bei Qiuyin. We’ve met before. My family has also had collaborations with the Fu Corporation."
Fu Tingzhou indeed had no impression of the woman in front of him.
"Sorry, the Fu Corporation has too many partners, nice to meet you, Miss Bei." The man said indifferently and then stopped looking at her. He handed the tiramisu on the white porcelain plate in front of him to Tangtang, "Do you want to eat this?"
At this moment, Tangtang said, "Daddy, I want to drink orange juice."
Fu Tingzhou immediately called over a waiter.
Tangtang looked at Bei Qiuyin and said, "Mom wants to drink blueberry milk tea, auntie, are you my dad’s friend? What would you like to drink?"
Tang Xi found it hard to believe that her daughter wasn’t doing this on purpose.
Bei Qiuyin was stunned, her lips parted, "Brother Tingzhou, you have a daughter??"
"Miss Bei, at my age, isn’t it normal to have a daughter? Is there anything else you need, Miss Bei?"
"I..." Bei Qiuyin clenched her teeth, "Nothing, I just came here on a trip and happened to see Brother Tingzhou, so I came to say hello." After saying this, she gave Tang Xi a resentful and jealous glance before leaving unwillingly.
Tang Xi touched her daughter’s ponytail and whispered, "Next time, no mischief."
The waiter quickly served the juice.
Tangtang happily took a big sip of the orange juice.
Hmph, she might be young, but she’s not foolish, that auntie clearly came to take her dad away.
She doesn’t like that auntie at all.
-
Tang Xi and Fu Tingzhou didn’t return to the hotel until the evening.
Tangtang, having played outside all day, was tired. As soon as they got home, the girl was looking sleepy. Tang Xi laid her on the bed and wiped her face with a warm towel, and Tangtang fell asleep.
Tang Xi took out a suitcase and started to organize Tangtang’s clothes.
And some daily necessities.
They were going to return to North City soon, and she was very reluctant to leave.
She planned to visit Su Wenhe’s home tomorrow, she had some plants to give to Su Wenhe, all nurtured in North City over the years. Although she wasn’t very skilled at taking care of these little things, their vitality was strong and she had grown attached to them.
Not wanting to disturb her daughter’s sleep, she went to the bathroom and called Su Wenhe.
"Xixi, I was just about to call you, and here you are calling me."
"So, we really do have a connection." Tang Xi said with a smile.
"Yes, bring Tangtang over tomorrow, I’ve knitted a sweater for her, it’s cold in North City, not like the mild temperatures of North Island. Tangtang loves pink, I’ve also knitted a scarf for you, tomorrow noon I’ll make some pork ribs for you guys to eat."
"Great, I still have some ingredients at home, I will bring them over tomorrow." Tang Xi remembered the box of large prawns and king crabs in the fridge. Fu Tingzhou usually wouldn’t touch those, she bought them and just stored them in the freezer. Since they would be leaving soon, it would be a waste to just leave them.
She doesn’t need to report this little matter to Fu Tingzhou, she can decide on her own.
"Xixi, thank you, I really like the massage chair you bought me, but isn’t this brand too expensive? It’s not easy for you to earn money, buying such expensive stuff for me..."
"What?" Tang Xi had been with Fu Tingzhou and Tangtang all day today.
She didn’t go out to buy any massage chair.
Fu Tingzhou indeed had given her a shopping membership card, originally planning to go to the mall to buy the massage chair after visiting the art exhibition today, but plans changed suddenly and they were delayed at the hospital.
On the other side, Su Wenhe happily said, "It has lots of functions, I tried it today, and it really eased my back pain."
"Aunt Su, when was the massage chair delivered?"
"Just this afternoon."
Tang Xi seemed to already have the answer.
After chatting a few more words with Su Wenhe, Tang Xi hung up the phone.
She took a bath, walked out of the room, and saw Fu Tingzhou sitting at the work area near the floor-to-ceiling windows, still in a video conference.
She thought for a moment, heated a cup of milk and walked over.
Fu Tingzhou had just finished his meeting, turned off the video and looked at her, "Is everything packed?"
"Yes, almost done." Tang Xi handed him the milk, "Drink some milk, it helps with sleep at night."
Fu Tingzhou didn’t drink it, just set it on the table, and pressed his hand against his brow, stretching his neck and shoulders.
"Massage my shoulders for me."
Tang Xi went around to him and reached out her hands, but instead of massaging his shoulders, she gently massaged his temples, her fingers warm from the bath, and Fu Tingzhou closed his eyes.
"Mmm... thank you, just now Aunt Su called, saying that she received the massage chair."
This was something she had only mentioned to Fu Tingzhou.
Thus, the person who sent the massage chair to Aunt Su could only be Fu Tingzhou.
She hadn’t expected that he would still remember.
Fu Tingzhou merely nodded.
Tang Xi’s eyes slightly shimmered with light, she slowly lowered her gaze, and didn’t say anything more, continuing to massage his head. Her mind replayed the words of the old doctor; Fu Tingzhou was hypnotized into amnesia through a Forbidden Technique, not a car accident.
His frequent headaches might also be due to his memories trying to break through.
If they found a skilled Hypnotist, he might be able to recover his memories.
Would he revert to the way he was four years ago?
At this thought, Tang Xi suddenly bit her lip.
Her fingers also trembled.
Fu Tingzhou opened his eyes, seemingly feeling the slight tremors of Tang Xi’s fingertips.
"It’s getting late, let’s sleep. Tomorrow I’ll go to Aunt Su’s house, and have lunch there with Tangtang," Tang Xi said, preparing to leave.
But Fu Tingzhou suddenly grabbed her wrist.
Then, Fu Tingzhou embraced her waist and pressed a hard kiss onto her lips.
Tang Xi’s eyelashes trembled lightly, her breathing quickened in the heat of the moment.
The air temperature around them gradually increased as Fu Tingzhou brought Tang Xi to the sofa.
He bowed his head and continued to kiss her lips.
Tang Xi’s eyelashes quivered and she closed her eyes.
She didn’t think to resist, for resistance was futile, and her body did not repel being intimate with Fu Tingzhou.
At that moment, Fu Tingzhou released her, his voice husky with extreme restraint, whispering in her ear, "Is it okay?"
Tang Xi was somewhat startled.
She hadn’t expected him to ask for her opinion.
Their gazes met.
His eyes were dark and deep, yet carried a hint of tenderness.
Tang Xi’s cheeks flushed, she slowly nodded her head.
Gently pushing against his chest, she whispered, "Not in the living room, don’t let Tangtang see..."
-
In the morning, Tang Xi took Tangtang to Su Wenhe’s house.
Su Wenhe’s home was in the old city district, surrounded by fully-equipped facilities including a large market and a primary school two blocks away.
She bought some vegetables and some daily necessities before knocking on Su Wenhe’s door.
Su Wenhe’s home was on the ground floor, with a yard filled with various plants and flowers.
Tang Xi called for a moving truck and had her own plants and flowers delivered.
Tangtang, often visiting here, was familiar with the place, eating fruit and watching cartoons on the sofa.
Tang Xi and Su Wenhe busied themselves with the plants and flowers in the yard.
"Aunt Su, you’ve taken great care of this orchid," Tang Xi remarked.
Su Wenhe was a detailed-oriented person who enjoyed gardening. She laughed, "I’ve had this orchid for several years, plus the rosebush next to it. I plan to plant some roses here; this spot will look beautiful."
Tang Xi, notorious for her plants withering, picked up a pot with Sedum rubrotinctum, "These little things, I’ll leave them in your care, Aunt Su."
"Are you leaving tomorrow?" Aunt Su was reluctant to see them go.
Tang Xi nodded, scooping up soil with a garden trowel, "Yes, the flight is tomorrow morning."
"It’s been almost five years since I first met you at the hospital holding Tangtang. I thought to myself, what kind of scoundrel had this beautiful girl encountered to end up raising a child alone."
Tang Xi smiled gently, setting down her tools and linking her arm through Aunt Su’s, resting her head on her shoulder and nuzzling against it, "Meeting you in North City has been a truly joyful blessing for me."
Tang Xi felt very fortunate.
In a foreign city, she had found warmth.
Over the years, Su Wenhe had helped her immensely.
Without Su Wenhe, Tang Xi couldn’t manage working and taking care of little Tangtang on her own.
Su Wenhe had been her support system.
Like another mother to her.
"Aunt Su, I won’t call you Aunt Su anymore, I’ll call you godmother, okay?" Tang Xi’s eyes reddened, truly reluctant to part.
Su Wenhe was delighted, "Of course, I’ve long considered you and Tangtang as my own family."
Her husband had passed away early, leaving her with only one child who was abroad.
Visits home were only around the festive seasons.
With occasional phone calls.
Her child had their own family, and she, as a mother, didn’t wish to leave the city, just living life as it was.
Su Wenhe’s wage was not low, managing a decent life on her own.
Back home, she received some maintenance money from abroad every month.
Yet, being alone was always accompanied by boredom and loneliness.
Watching over Tangtang daily, she found joy as if caring for her own granddaughter. fгee𝑤ebɳoveɭ.cøm
Tang Xi immediately called over Tangtang, "Tangtang, would you like Aunt Su to be your god-grandma?"
"Yes!!" Tangtang rushed into Su Wenhe’s arms, "Grandma!! Tangtang loves grandma!!"
Su Wenhe told Tangtang to wait and then went to the bedroom. When she returned, she held a silver bracelet in her hand and placed it on Tangtang’s wrist.
"This silver bracelet may not be worth much, but it was handcrafted by my father. My father was an old craftsman; he designed this bracelet himself, and each pattern was meticulously carved by him," Su Wenhe lovingly stroked Tangtang’s hair. "Tangtang, wear this from now on, do you like it?"
