Chapter 808: Chapter 808: Stingy Ben Hunter

Speaking of Isabella Weaver, Grandpa King coughed and said, "I heard your granddaughter-in-law bought a box of century-old Pu’er tea at the auction?"

Ben Hunter looked proud, "Yeah, my granddaughter-in-law knows I love it, so she specially got it for me."

"Then... why don’t you share half with me?"

"No way!"

Ben Hunter immediately jumped off the bed like a cat whose tail had been stepped on, moving so nimbly that he didn’t seem like a man in his seventies.

As he went to wash up, Grandpa King kept following him, nagging, "I heard that box of tea cakes is quite large, over two and a half pounds. If you can’t give me half, how about a pound?"

"No way!"

"Then even half a pound?"

"Half an ounce!"

"What can I do with half an ounce? You old miser, we’ve known each other since we were kids!"

The two squabbled noisily until Johan Niles brought someone in, finally managing to persuade them to stop.

"Grandpa, are you alright? My dad heard you were hospitalized and got so worried he almost left all the city officials behind to rush over and see you!"

"My good grandson, you finally came to see Grandpa. Ben Hunter’s granddaughter-in-law got him good tea, but he’s not letting me drink any! You better find yourself a wife soon so I can have some tea bought by a granddaughter-in-law!"

Grandpa King held his grandson’s hand, complaining while subtly pressuring him to get married.

Benjamin King felt a headache coming on. He knew he would be pressured to get married as soon as he came!

Ever since Harry Hunter got married, he had been avoiding his grandfather, but now that Grandpa King was hospitalized and his father, Mayor King, was tied up, he had no choice but to bite the bullet and come.

Just as he arrived, his grandfather started insisting on drinking tea from a granddaughter-in-law. It was maddening.

Why did the Eldest Young Master Hunter have to marry so early? It’s putting pressure on all the unmarried people his age!

Benjamin quickly turned to Johan Niles, "Johan, my grandpa’s health is okay, right? If he’s alright, I’m leaving. See ya!"

Johan Niles grabbed him, "Why are you in such a hurry to leave? I haven’t finished talking yet. Grandpa King doesn’t have any major health issues, but his chronic high blood pressure can’t be ignored. He hasn’t been taking his medicine properly lately, and his blood pressure has risen again. Let him stay in the hospital for a few days to recuperate; it’ll be beneficial!"

Benjamin King put on a wry face, having no choice but to stay with his grandpa and continue listening to his lectures.

At nine o’clock, Isabella Weaver came to visit the old man in the hospital before heading to work. After she left, Benjamin’s day grew even more trying.

"Good grandson, did you see that girl just now? Find someone like her—beautiful, sensible, filial, and career-minded!"

"Grandpa, your standards are too high. Do you think everyone has Isabella Weaver’s looks?"

"Why is that too high? You must find someone like Missy Weaver! The next generation of our King Family can’t lose to the Hunter Family. Otherwise, who knows how Ben Hunter would brag!"

Benjamin King gave up, "I can’t find one. Anyone I find, you’re not satisfied with. You look for one yourself then!"

"It’s okay if you can’t find one. We can place a marriage ad in the newspaper! All those girlfriends you’ve had before were weirdos and monstrosities, and they’ll ruin the next generation’s genes in our Old King family!"

Benjamin’s face fell. As the son of A City’s mayor, how could he resort to a marriage ad to get a wife? His dad would break his legs!

He thought his former girlfriends were quite nice. Why were they considered weirdos and monstrosities?

Of course, compared to Isabella, they were a bit lacking, but where can he find someone prettier than Isabella? Unless he marries a movie star, but the King Family would never agree to let a movie star through the door.
