After a Contractual Marriage, Little Taotie Went Viral!-Chapter 260 - 254: Traces of Him Everywhere
Qin Yun didn’t know why, but she just wanted to do it, so she did.
She politely asked Pei Yan’s agent, "Do you want to eat?"
"No need, I don’t like it," Pei Yan’s agent refused without hesitation, making it clear his aversion to durian.
Qin Yun didn’t insist.
On Pei Yan’s end, it seemed to be over, and he immediately called her over video.
As soon as it connected, Pei Yan asked, "Is it tasty?"
Qin Yun, eating durian with one hand and holding her phone with the other, had a bit of durian at the corner of her mouth. She swallowed the durian in her mouth and asked, "Mm, it’s pretty good. Do you want some? I’ll save some for you."
After speaking, she asked, "Are you finished? Where are you going now?"
"No need, as long as you like it. The event ended, now heading back to the hotel." Pei Yan was sitting in the car returning to the hotel.
Upon hearing this, Qin Yun didn’t think of saving any for him, and performed a durian eating show on-site for Pei Yan.
This durian was very large, with six big sections. The flesh was abundant, and the seeds were small.
"If you want to eat something, have my agent open it for you," Pei Yan said directly, seeing his agent diligently peeling the durian through the lens.
"Okay." Qin Yun nodded.
The agent paused while peeling the durian: "...??"
What did he hear?
He felt like he had suffered a million points of damage!!
Why had a top agent, not only become a delivery boy but now also a fruit-peeling boy?
However, nobody cared about him. The two chatted a bit more, and only when Pei Yan reached the hotel did the video disconnect.
Pei Yan’s agent also packed up the durian, tidied up the durian peel, and put it by the door to take away when he left.
Mostly because its smell was really strong.
"Do you want to eat anything else?" Pei Yan’s agent asked.
Looking at the two large boxes of fruit, Qin Yun thought for a moment, then pointed at the jackfruit and said, "Why not peel this big one then."
Pei Yan’s agent looked at the big jackfruit and suddenly had a headache. It’s much trickier than the durian.
Suddenly regretted asking that question, but the words had already been spoken, like water poured out, impossible to take back.
He could only change into disposable gloves, cut the jackfruit in half with a knife, wrap one half in cling film to prevent it from spoiling, and then start dutifully peeling one by one and placing them on a newly brought plate.
After eating, Qin Yun felt a bit greasy and thought perhaps the fragrant jackfruit might not ease it much.
But she still tasted one, just in case?
Crisp and sweet, quite tasty, indeed matched the fragrance, but the timing wasn’t right.
It turned out the jackfruit didn’t resolve the greasiness.
She went into the kitchen, poured a glass of warm water, and after a while, she felt better.
This incident also made Qin Yun realize, while durian is delicious, it’s not to be consumed excessively.
After the agent finished peeling, he neatly arranged them on a plate, realizing Qin Yun had eaten all the durians on two full plates. He remained silent for several seconds and hesitantly said, "Should I wrap these with cling film too?"
"Okay." Qin Yun nodded this time without hesitation.
After tidying up, Pei Yan’s agent prepared to leave. Given he helped for so long, Qin Yun shared some fruit with him.
Initially, Pei Yan’s agent didn’t want it, but eventually accepted, given he had carried them back himself with much effort.
As Pei Yan and the agent left, they also took the trash with them.
For the first time, Qin Yun didn’t feel like eating much.
Lazily curled up on the sofa, Pei Yan’s video call came through.
Qin Yun answered to see Pei Yan in the hotel’s bathrobe, with his neckline revealing part of his fair chest below the collarbone due to leaning on the bedhead, his short hair damp, messy with a hint of laziness.
"Already showered so soon." Qin Yun stared directly at Pei Yan’s neckline.
Pei Yan spoke slightly hoarsely, "Mm, many people today."
Qin Yun instantly understood.
Pei Yan noticed Qin Yun’s gaze, raised an eyebrow, "What are you looking at? Didn’t you see enough this afternoon?"
"It’s human nature to admire beauty, not to mention, aren’t you my husband? Is there a problem with me looking at my own husband?" Qin Yun said confidently.
"Mm, none. Want me to open it and let you take a look?" After hearing, Pei Yan’s eyes deepened and, after a while, he asked hoarsely.
Qin Yun: "No need, I’m not a female rogue."
Upon hearing, Pei Yan chuckled lightly.
"What’s the meaning of your laughter?" Qin Yun squinted her eyes, her peach blossom eyes gleaming with a hint of threat.
"Nothing, very cute." Pei Yan restrained his smile.
"That’s more like it." Qin Yun nodded in satisfaction.
"If you’re hungry, let the shop send food to your home," Pei Yan suggested seeing her curled up on the sofa.
"Don’t mention food. I just ate that entire durian, but did you know, growing up, it’s the first time I don’t particularly crave food." Qin Yun shared her excitement with Pei Yan.
After all, having grown up, it was her first time experiencing not wanting to eat. How special!!
She had only felt hunger before, never the sensation of being full.
But today, that durian, although not filling, made her not constantly crave more food.
That’s quite precious.
"Did it make you feel uncomfortable?" Pei Yan asked with a frown.
"Not really, maybe just ate too much, a bit greasy? But I felt better after drinking a glass of warm water." Qin Yun replied seriously upon seeing Pei Yan’s seriousness.
Pei Yan’s expression eased slightly but his brow remained furrowed, "I’ll have a private doctor come to check on you."
Qin Yun was stunned, she patted her stomach, should be fine, right?
Why call a doctor.
Qin Yun suspiciously patted herself, "I think I’m okay."
"Better let the doctor take a look, just to check if there are other issues." Pei Yan said while sending a message to the private doctor on his phone.
Qin Yun: "..."
Having been here so long, suddenly forced to see a doctor.
While waiting for the doctor, Pei Yan didn’t hang up the call, chatting with Qin Yun.
When the doctor arrived knocking, Pei Yan was asking Qin Yun in his slightly hoarse voice, "Do you miss me?"
Qin Yun’s face instantly became hot, her ears turned red. Looking at herself in the camera not different much, she felt somewhat fortunate, as under the lighting’s reflection, through the lens, Pei Yan couldn’t see clearly.
What Leqi said about uncontrollable blushing and heart racing turned out to be true!
Pei Yan didn’t even do much, just a word, and her heart raced.
She pretended calm, "It’s not been long, only a dozen hours apart."
Plus Pei Yan had sent her photos, sent fruits, though he wasn’t present, but traces of him were everywhere.
