Chapter 577: Side story 7

Noah was one of the few true alphas that Andrew knew that wanted multiple partners. He wanted to be able to tend to all of them, love all of them, but he had a lot of things to work on before that could happen. A lot of bad habits that needed to be unlearned, that he had started to unlearn ever since he met Andrew.

Noah was also the shiest of the siblings. More reserved when compared to Andrew and Nicole. He was also the only one of the trio who sought after and personally handed over several members of their family.

Noah wanted the Abraham family hunted down, maybe for sport, and forced to pay for their crimes. He hated that he had been a part of a family that had hurt so many others and killed people. Many people.

Noah took on the weight of that personally, talking to many of the victims’ families even while being a victim on his own. Some families blamed him, some even cursed him out. Noah never told them that he was a victim unless they asked. They rarely did, and those that did were never the angry ones.

They were the ones who knew that he was in pain and that he himself was suffering as much as the others were.

That was how he met his first partner.

He didn’t think he would fall in love with the sister of one of the victims, a beta female who was a school teacher, but Noah did. He was terrified, but the kind and forgiving woman made space for Noah, welcoming him in, and even met Andrew by accident when Noah was still unsure what they were supposed to be.

She was a teacher at one of the schools that Andrew and Maxwell were looking at for when it came time to enroll the kids in school. She worked at the school that they ended up sending their kids to because of their good curriculum and she kept a straight face until the end. She even asked Andrew to forgive her for her rudeness, but he reminded her of someone. Maxwell was ready to fight the woman until she mentioned Noah Knox.

Then Andrew got a giddy sense of happiness in his chest.

Andrew then gushed about his younger brother, asking about how she knew him and that was when she admitted that her brother had been one of the betas that the Abraham family had experimented on. They were normally a family of alphas, but unlike their two older siblings, her and her younger brother had come out as betas. Thankfully their family hadn’t been discriminatory, but her brother had a chip on his shoulder.

Then he’d gone missing and well...the rest was history.

Andrew had explained who he was in relation to everything and Maxwell had made it very clear that they, Andrew and Maxwell, were the reason that the Abraham family had been caught, along with Noah and their sister, Nicole. The young woman had smiled, knowing that was the case, and had explained that she had been falling for Noah but he’d been pushing her away.

Andrew was a good older brother, and a nosy one, so he had facilitated their first date. A double date, of course, since Maxwell was just as nosy, and at one point long after the awkwardness had faded, Andrew and Maxwell had left and the two had remained on their date.

It was only a short while later that they officially started dating and she began showing up at family gatherings. It was actually through her that they met their third, a sweet single omega father who was at his wits end.

Noah was frozen when the man had caught his attention, and at first, his current partner had thought that he had found his fated mate. That had brought up a whole different conversation, lots of drinking at Andrew and Maxwell’s house, before he finally worked up the courage to explain what he wanted and how he thought about relationships. Would he be happy with just her? Absolutely, but he also didn’t want to lie to her.

Andrew had stayed just outside of the living room as he had spoken to her, since she had come to Andrew’s house and his chest ached for the other man. She had listened, fully listened to him and held him when Noah had apologised for being the way that he was. He knew it wasn’t right, that there was something wrong with him, but instead of her rejecting him, she comforted him.

Her biggest thing was that if they were going to do this, she didn’t want to be excluded. They were all going to date each other. It wasn’t him just dating her and this other person if they agreed. They all had to be attracted to each other.

Noah agreed and Andrew watched as the couple turned into a throuple slowly. The omega had no chance of resisting two attractive people who not only wanted him, but his daughter as well. They were so good with children, and so was Andrew, that the man folded in a few months. So head over heels for his partners that there was no way he was going to turn his back on them.

Plus, his daughter was thrilled not just to have one Dad, but two Dads and a Mom. They all wore matching collars as a sign of their dedication to each other and Andrew thought it was so dang cute that it nearly killed him.

Noah also had two children, one from each of his partners, and then his partners had a kid as well. The third child from the throuple was around the same age as Julian so they often spent time together or Andrew would pick them up from daycare or vice versa. It was a cute arrangement, and Andrew was just thankful that his family, the family that he cared about were growing and taking care of themselves.

Rose and Jordan had decided that one child was enough for them. Mainly because Rose couldn’t get pregnant, and she wasn’t about to put Jordan through pregnancy again. It was a hard blow, similar to how Amir had felt when Rose found out. She had told Andrew on a night after their monthly dinners. She hadn’t had the spark that she normally did and when Andrew found out, he’d just hugged her.

Apparently, something had been wrong internally. Where a normal female alpha would have both testes and a uterus with ovaries and everything else, Rose didn’t have that. She had testes, she had a uterus, but the ovaries had never developed. She had a period every month like most women, but she had never dropped eggs. She had always just shed and that was it.

They’d never had to look into it before.

Andrew had held her as she explained this to him, her voice hollow, and Andrew knew that there was nothing he could do besides give her physical comfort. So, he did, and he also offered her a space to grieve something that she’d never thought that she had to do.

May had also been there for her daughter. She had been even more present after her health scare. She’d retired ’late’ in everyone else’s opinion, but early in her own. It had been a grand affair, everyone showing up to celebrate her and her accomplishments at the company she had dedicated herself to.

Now, it was her time to be a grandma, enjoy her old age with her husband, and maybe work on some hobbies that she had neglected in favour of work. While she was forced to take life at a slower pace and take care of herself, she had grown into an affectionate relationship with Luis and Kim, forming a bond of friendship that neither of the women had expected to form.

It was sweet to watch them become friends, and May was still a little flustered at being included in the ’girls’ club since she was used to being excluded and not really hanging out with omegas. Ford saw it, and encouraged his wife’s friendships as he explored his own friendship with Thomas and Kim.

Andrew was glad that his families were getting along, same with Maxwell.

Maxwell admitted in the dead of the night once, after they had put the kids down for the night that he didn’t know what he would have done if their families hadn’t gotten along. He had thought that he would be okay with it, but now having the life that they did? It was unthinkable.

Andrew had laughed and agreed with him.

Michael, Andrew’s dear Doctor friend, was still single. Probably always would be. He was a sweet man, but he was dedicated to his work. At least, that was what he told everyone. Until Andrew cornered him one day and asked him what was really going on.

Andrew wasn’t going to judge him, never would, but he wanted to know the truth so that he could chase away the rumours surrounding him and act as his bodyguard as well. Andrew wasn’t an idiot. He knew that Michael was a line of defense for him and Maxwell. That he was in good with a lot of families and that he was part of the reason that some many prominent families were offering their help for research.

Michael had resisted at first. He had said that there was nothing wrong, and Andrew kicked himself realising that that might not be the proper wording. Andrew didn’t think that there was anything wrong with Michael, far from it, he just wanted to be there to support his friend.

Michael had eventually relented and admitted that he never really cared about anyone romantically. He didn’t have a preference for anyone or anything and that was part of the reason he had gone into researching alphas and omegas. To see if there was anything wrong with him.

Turns out, Michael was just one of the few who just...didn’t find anyone romantically attractive. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺

Was that a little surprising for Andrew to find out? Yeah, but it wasn’t like he was going to doubt Michael of all people. He was sure that Michael had done a lot of soul searching on this, and while Andrew couldn’t imagine not being sexually or romantically attracted to anyone, he wasn’t going to make it Michael’s problem.

Michael actually seemed very relieved that Andrew accepted it so easily, and Andrew was honest with him. Now that he knew that was the case, Andrew was going to fucking lie for his friend. He was going to say, with Michael’s permission, that if someone didn’t understand where Michael was coming from and wouldn’t leave him alone, Andrew was going to get involved. He was going to weave this incredible story about an omega that got away, and when Michael finally found them, not only had they been bitten by someone else, but it was only two weeks after Michael found out that they were with another person that they ended up in a tragic car accident and neither had survived.

Michael was a little horrified by the story, but Andrew said it was just dramatic enough that no one would question him, and just tragic enough that Michael would get sympathy and no one would approach him anymore.

Michael resisted at first, but once they used it the first time? It was like fire. It spread everywhere and people stopped pestering Michael. He felt like he could breathe for the first time in his life.

He even sent Andrew a fresh fruit arrangement in thank you to his practise. Andrew had laughed, along with his office manager, but that was just Michael.

Tragedy also struck the family. Amir’s grandparents were on the older side when Andrew first met them and eventually that caught up with them. Cancer developed, fast and malignant in their grandmother. It took him far too quickly and their grandfather barely lasted a month without his love before he passed.

The only thing that made it easier was that they seemed to know that something was wrong before they went to get examined so the Will side of things was easy, but Amir and Andrew were pretty messed up for a long time after. Amir had it worse, but Andrew made sure that where they were buried was always clean and taken care of. A small thing he could do for people who had welcomed him in without hesitation. He always cooked his grandmother’s meals on the anniversary of their deaths. Two more pictures were added to the family shrine.
