Chapter 25 - Benefits Of The Guild

"Did you really need to go that hard on me?"

Ulya was still rubbing her hips as she pouted at Izzy, the warrior milf acting like she hadn't been the one to plead for her younger partner to fuck her even harder and to dump another three loads inside of her ass.

For her part, Izzy looked about the same despite having been balls deep in two different women just a few minutes ago, her stoic facade remaining in place as she just shrugged and said "I just went as hard as I normally do.", which we all knew was false.

There had been some 'anger' in those thrusts of hers, but neither Ulya nor I was complaining about how great it had felt to have her ravage our asses like that, and I definitely wasn't going to butt in and attempt to defuse this situation.

I was still an 'outsider' to these two, with no real idea on what their relationship really was; were they just partners because they worked together as adventurers and wanted to have someone to help relieve their stress, or were they really partners who were just a bit open?

Honestly they might have already told me but I had likely been too focused on just how hot both of them were to give a damn, and whenever something was said to me before I was fucked I did tend to forget it, so... yeah.

What I did know was that this walk back towards the town a few miles away from the mines was quite peaceful and a good way to build up my stamina, especially with these bags filled with goodies on my back.

The road was well maintained, guarded, and lit, surprising me quite a bit since there were guard outposts every couple hundred feet manned by two guards, both equipped with heavy spears and longbows.

When we had passed the first one Izzy had told me that it was thanks to the abundance of thieves who were hoping to nab some 'easy' money from returning adventurers, and that hurt the Guild's bottom line enough that they hired slightly older, yet still fit and competent adventurers to guard this road.

It made sense, and many of them were more than willing to check in with us whenever we passed, asking about our time in the mines or if we had noticed anything dangerous; friendly and doing their jobs was certainly a rarity to me, at least in my old world, so it was quite refreshing seeing it here.

The sun was beginning to set upon our arrival to the town, and the first thing that we did was head for the gigantic Guild Hall situated on a hill above the town, where Izzy informed me we could store away our goods for a fee.

Building up a nice stock of some good materials before making our way back to the city was the current plan, and it was something that the Guild was more than willing to help us with so long as we were alright with parting ways with some of our loot.

Not a lot, but losing a few chunks of ore just to store our stuff in their vault seemed a bit expensive at first, until I saw the security; a metric fuck ton of various magical traps alongside someone who was apparently a retired A Ranker sitting in front of the vault, which was made from a special alloy or something that was impenetrable.

Unless another few A Rankers came over and decided to destroy the Guild, but at that point the contents of the vault are of little importance since we'd likely be dead... but hey, otherwise it was nice to know we could store our stuff for a week and continuously add to it during said week only for a small fee~!

Around the base of the hill the Guild Hall was built on were all of the various buildings that the Guild owned and operated, which were pretty much Inns designated to whomever was allowed to reside within those facilities.

These were 'free' to us thanks to our allegiance to the Guild, paid for by the dues we were apparently supposed to pay each month, and we had access to the 'free' food provided at mealtimes, which thankfully hadn't ended just yet.

Going into the D Rank Inn and showing our cards, we were given a single room upstairs and told that anyone seated on the first floor would be served a meal in the upcoming minutes, so we didn't even bother to head upstairs yet as we instead found a table and waited for our food.

"This is..."

It was fascinating to me, and both Izzy and Ulya nodded as they sank into the somewhat nice chairs to relax, the day finally over with; we had gotten ourselves some goods that we would need to trade in the future, and now we were learning more about one another and what we could do to earn even more going forwards.

What my limits were, what we were capable of as a party, what we could potentially earn outside of the mines if we were inclined to find profitable avenues that way... all while having a place to come back to in order to recuperate that was technically free of charge for the time being.

"This is the life. If you have the strength, the smarts, and can find someone to adventure with, this is the life. A little bit of danger, little bit of fun, and a whole lot of profits. Only if you are smart though..."

Izzy said that last part quietly as another, larger group stumbled into the Inn, laughing and jiving with one another as they made their way towards a table, clearly on their way to getting plastered as they ordered another round of beer with whatever they had earned today.

Keeping to ourselves seemed to be the plan, but unlike the plans from our time in the mines this one fell through almost instantly as the other group began to get even louder and obnoxious, filling the Inn with their laughter until eventually they began to look around for other things to have fun with.
