Adventurer's Guild Café: I Was Wrongfully Exiled by the Saint, So I Will Enjoy My Second Life with My Fluffy Friends-Chapter 4.6 - Silver Wolf King Part 2
Long ago, this continent was rendered uninhabitable for humans due to mysterious caves known as dungeons, which spewed forth monsters.
The land was ravaged by monsters, and the miasma that emanated from the dungeons afflicted people with disease. Hearts grew desolate, and humans became wretched creatures, consumed by endless conflict.

In time, the true nature of the “core” that birthed the dungeons across the continent was discovered.
It was a single life form with immense magical power and a malevolent soul.
People called “it” the Demon King, the ruler of all evil.
One day, a young man rose up to defeat the Demon King.
This young man, a beastkin with silver hair and the features of a wolf, set out on his quest.
To defeat the Demon King, the young man gathered four guardians.
One wielded a sword.
One carried a shield.
One mastered the bow.
One bore a staff.
Moved by the young man’s courage, a “Saint,” blessed with divine power, joined their ranks.
The guardians, each having mastered their respective paths, risked their lives to protect the young man.
The Saint tirelessly purified the darkness to support the heroes.
Eventually, the young man triumphed over the Demon King.
The people hailed him as a “Hero” and raised him up as the king of a new nation.
But the four guardians lost their lives in the battle, and the Saint, too, had only a short time left to live.
The Saint, hearing the voice of the gods, left the young man with the divine command to become the king of Grantania. She then returned to her homeland, where she passed away peacefully.
The young man became known as the Silver Wolf King and ruled wisely.
Yet the king never ceased to honor the four guardians and the Saint. He established guilds near the four remaining dungeons as tributes to the guardians.
The king proclaimed that they were the true “Heroes.” From then on, the guardians were revered as heroes, their names forever etched in the hearts of the people of the kingdom.

“And that’s why, in our country, the four guilds are modeled after those guardians.”
The drunken dwarf hiccupped as he said that.
The female swordswoman waved her hand dismissively.
“Well, it’s just a legend, a legend! But it’s a cool story, isn’t it? A king and four guardians!”
“It really is…”
I couldn’t help but feel uneasy. The story about the founding of the kingdom I’d heard in Aruda didn’t quite match up with what was being said here. There were too many contradictions.
“Well, I’m sure parts of it have been conveniently embellished,” the female swordswoman added. “In neighboring countries, this story often gets dragged out and sparks arguments, with each claiming their ruler is the true heir of the hero’s bloodline.”
Aruda was no different.
The king was said to be of the hero’s lineage, and the Saint was believed to be chosen by the gods in each generation.
Just as the swordswoman had said, it wouldn’t be surprising if every country mixed in a few lies to make the story suit them better.
“Legends are better when they sound cooler, right? Oh, hey, isn’t she drunk?”
The swordswoman laughed as she looked at Lala.
Lala, clearly intoxicated, was doing a silly, clumsy “peep-peep” dance.
“Lala…”
“Peep-peep!”
Lala, in her drunken state, jumped onto the dwarf’s head.
“Oh? What’s this little one? We get along, don’t we?”
“Peep!”
As Lala and the dwarf began an odd little dance together, everyone burst out laughing.
