Addicted to My Cutie and Sweetie-Chapter 922: Raising a Little Lu Jing
The kitten didn’t let go of its paw; instead, it stuck out its little tongue and licked the small paper ball in front of it.
"Since you like it so much, let’s go with this!" Zhang Lingying decisively lifted its little paw and took out the paper ball pressed beneath it, unfolding it to take a look.
"Little Mirror."
She froze for a few seconds, unsure why. When she wrote the name earlier, she almost unknowingly chose it, and now seeing the name she chose, she felt a moment of confusion.
What kind of name is this...
It’s really like treating a stray kitten as Lu Jing.
Zhang Lingying was hesitating about whether to change her mind and let the kitten pick another name. The kitten on the table had leisurely walked over to her, lightly leaped from the edge of the table, and jumped into her arms.
The cat turned its head, sniffed the paper in her hand, and licked it again.
It seems to really like this name.
"Do you really want to be called Little Mirror?" Zhang Lingying tried negotiating with the kitten in her arms, "I think this name doesn’t do you justice. Look how smart you are, knowing how to find me for help. How about we call you Little Smart instead? Sounds like the cat takes after the owner."
The kitten didn’t answer, but stretched out its little paw to press down on her hand, and the next second it carried the piece of paper with the name away.
Zhang Lingying: "..."
Alright, Little Mirror it is then.
Zhang Lingying set up the cat bed and, following the veterinarian’s instructions, placed a blanket in it.
The kitten has weak resistance and is prone to catching cold, so it’s important to keep warm.
Then she had to keep an eye on the time and prepare milk powder for it regularly.
The milk powder is for kittens, and it’s important to use the right water temperature to mix it; it shouldn’t drink too much at once; ideally, everything should be scheduled...
By the time Zhang Lingying finished bustling around, the sky was already fully bright.
Having not slept all night, she was so exhausted she couldn’t keep her eyes open.
Luckily, it was the weekend, so she didn’t have to rush to the lab and could catch up on some sleep.
She was worried she might be too tired to sleep, but as she thought of Little Mirror—the hungry little kitten—her taut nerves miraculously relaxed, and she quickly fell asleep.
Half asleep, she felt something licking her face.
It tickled.
Zhang Lingying instinctively pushed away the sticky thing on her face, turned over, wrapped herself in the blanket, and continued sleeping. 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚
A few seconds later, a soft clump of flesh collapsed onto her entire face.
Zhang Lingying’s nose and mouth were covered, making it hard to breathe, so she abruptly sat up.
"Meow——"
The culprit, Little Mirror, fell from her face onto the blanket, letting out a soft meow.
Zhang Lingying stayed stunned for a long time, seeing the little kitten in front of her walking back and forth on her blanket, occasionally calling out to her... She finally remembered that she adopted a stray kitten last night.
She was so tired after busying herself yesterday that she fell asleep without closing the door. Now, Little Mirror is hungry and knows to find its caretaker to make milk powder.
"Alright, alright, you’re the boss. I shouldn’t have slept so long and let you go hungry. I’ll make the milk powder right away." Zhang Lingying picked up the kitten from the blanket, petting its little head as she walked towards the kitchen.
She mixed warm water with the milk powder, fed Little Mirror, and then had to teach it how to use the litter box.
Little Mirror is a mixed breed, with several types mixed together; it’s hard to say. Just by looking at the black, white, and slightly yellow fur... Zhang Lingying was a bit worried her "son" might have quite a few siblings from different fathers outside.
