"Redo the materials and make the data report clear for me! I want to see it complete when I come to work tomorrow, otherwise you’ll have to explain to the station manager how you work!"

Chloe Grant said this, grabbed her bag, and left!

"Chloe Grant! You’re just using your position for personal vendettas. Do you think you’re impressive just because you got promoted?" Lily Grant yelled disgruntledly!

Chloe, who had already reached the doorway, turned back with a cold stare at her.

Just then, Molly Polis came out of the office.

Chloe wasn’t shy, "If you did a good job, would I have a chance for personal vendettas? When you’re capable enough to get promoted, you’ll know how impressive it really is!"

Tired of wasting words, she left the office straight away.

Chloe had originally planned to leave from the first floor.

Her car was never parked in the underground garage. There is a parking lot nearby that’s much more convenient.

However, thinking of the call from Thea Yates earlier, Chloe was worried she might be waiting at the first floor, so she headed to the underground garage instead.

After all, the company’s underground garage is connected to the adjacent open-air parking.

It was just a matter of taking a few more paths.

Yet...

Despite taking a detour, Thea still caught her!

When Chloe saw Thea standing in front of her car, her expression wasn’t pleasant.

Thea smiled and walked over to her, "Before I came, I asked Matthew for your license plate and your usual parking spot. I didn’t know if you’d come from the first floor or the underground garage, but waiting by your car certainly wasn’t wrong."

"I told you, I have nothing to discuss with you." Chloe expressed her refusal directly.

Thea didn’t take the hint, answering egotistically, "But I want to talk to you."

With that, she grabbed her car key, pressed the unlock button, and a car to Chloe’s right responded with a sound.

Thea walked towards the car, saying, "Let’s go."

Halfway there, she noticed Chloe wasn’t moving and turned back, "If you don’t come with me now, I’ll be here blocking your way to work every day.

So, to save trouble for both of us in the future, follow me now for an hour’s chat, and everything can be sorted."

Chloe licked her dry lips, looking irritated.

Thea had reached the car, opened the door, but was still staring at Chloe, doing nothing more.

Chloe had already taken her phone out of her pocket.

Thea spoke up, "Thinking of calling Matthew? It’s useless. He’s the one who sent me to chat with you.

Chloe, you keep avoiding like this, but avoidance isn’t the only solution. I think after talking to me you’ll understand what you’re really doing."

Chloe stared at her phone screen.

After about ten seconds, she finally decided to put her phone away.

She turned and walked towards Thea.

Thea started to smile.

Chloe didn’t open the front passenger door but got into the back and shut the door firmly.

Thea chuckled softly, then got into the car.

...

Thea drove to a nearby café and got a relatively secluded seat.

This café wasn’t particularly busy, so there were few people and few staff.

Quiet and cold, but clean and peaceful.

Thea said, "I’ll have a Blue Mountain. Oh, and just get her a mocha. Kids tend to like sweet things."

Chloe sat across from her, clearly displeased with Thea making decisions for her.
