Accidenttal One Night Stand with My Aloof Uncle-Chapter 591 - 601: The Morgan Family’s Daughter Comes of Age 1
Chloe Grant listened to Molly Polis’s words, analyzing in her heart, this seemed like a good thing.
A big task, and a direct promotion.
That was completely different from the previous competition for the broadcaster supervisor position between two hosts.
But...
The way Molly acted didn’t seem like someone who was going to be happy about a promotion and a raise, so Chloe smartly didn’t offer congratulations.
"So... Sister Grace, what are you worried about?" Chloe asked.
Although Chloe was a bit naive, after a year of internship she had grown up a lot and understood some of the subtleties of human relationships.
"I just feel a lot of pressure because this is a project proposal that wasn’t finalized a year ago." Molly sighed and revealed her concerns.
"Why bring up something from a year ago now?" Chloe asked, puzzled.
Molly replied, "Actually, a year ago, there was news that our company was going to be acquired by the Morgan Group. But the Morgan Group hadn’t made any moves, and funding was a big issue for our station. It’s said that the problem at the time was that the Morgan Group thought our company wasn’t worth the asking price for the acquisition, so it was stalled.
Today it has been brought up again. The Morgan Group can make the acquisition without a penny less but requires us to provide a new strategic plan for the company’s future that satisfies them, and we need to communicate with them at all times." 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂
Chloe was a bit confused, "But isn’t such a thing supposed to be done by other departments?"
We’re just small broadcasters...
"Before I became a broadcaster, my major was planning, so the director’s idea is for me to lead the planning team to come up with a proposal. And..." Molly paused, looking at Chloe, "to take you with me."
"Me?" Chloe was surprised.
Molly nodded, "The director’s idea is that no matter what, you are familiar with Young Master Morgan, so having you around should make things easier."
"But, who knows in the capital, Young Master Morgan has his own gaming studio and doesn’t manage the Morgan Group at all. The current executive of the Morgan Group is Grandpa Morgan." Chloe responded directly.
Molly sighed, "That’s the director’s idea. But even if the director hadn’t requested it, I would have taken you with me. Chloe, you are very hardworking and diligent at work, and even though you’re not the most talented, you’re the most reliable assistant. I’ve already planned that if I don’t get promoted this time, I would switch jobs, and I will definitely find a way to take you with me when I leave."
Molly said the later words to Chloe very seriously.
Not joking, or just saying nice things.
She affirmed Chloe’s work ability and attitude.
Moreover, for a leader, the most likable subordinate is not the smartest, nor the most talented, but the most reliable.
Obedient but not blindly following.
Has her own thoughts but will seriously listen to the leader, constantly improving, working tirelessly, with a good attitude.
"Sister Grace, thank you for your affirmation. You don’t need to find a way, I will definitely go with you." Chloe also expressed her thoughts.
Since her internship started, Molly had taught her so much, and she enjoyed following Molly.
She didn’t mind changing the work environment.
Hearing Chloe say this, Molly was also very satisfied and happy.
At least, in this past year, teaching this intern wasn’t in vain.
"However, with this matter at hand, I can’t leave either." Molly waved her hand, "Now we have to get this thing done right, the promotion and raise are definite. By then, your position will be higher than both Sophia Fraser and Lily Grant."
"It’s just... this matter is a bit of a headache."
