Accidenttal One Night Stand with My Aloof Uncle-Chapter 565: He is My Ex-Boyfriend 5
Chloe Grant and Matthew Morgan locked eyes for several seconds, and finally, she looked down in silence, took the sobering tea from his hand, and drank it in one go before returning it to him.
"Is that enough?"
Matthew Morgan didn’t respond, just silently watched her.
Chloe Grant didn’t want to engage, so she turned to leave.
Matthew Morgan reached out and grabbed her wrist.
Chloe Grant stopped in her tracks, but her gaze remained stubbornly forward, ready to pull her hand away and walk forward with determination.
"Some things I can’t tell you. Chloe... I’ll always be by your side. And you... you won’t leave me, either."
His words were gentle, but the last sentence was obviously overwhelmingly domineering!
Chloe Grant felt a sourness in her heart but was also very angry.
She furiously pulled her hand back, turned her head, and faced Matthew Morgan with dissatisfaction, "What makes you so confident that I won’t leave you? Matthew Morgan, do you think I don’t have a temper? Didn’t you see that I already have a new date yesterday..."
Her words, fueled by anger, were initially very powerful, but when Matthew Morgan glanced down at her, Chloe Grant remembered that oddball Henry Clark and even wanted to laugh herself.
Chloe Grant hurriedly said, "Well.... Among ten, there will always be one or two oddballs. I’ll meet someone better... someone better than you!"
She particularly emphasized the last sentence.
Matthew Morgan, however, laughed and suddenly approached Chloe Grant.
Chloe Grant quickly retreated...
"What do you want?" she asked, wary.
Matthew Morgan kept approaching until he cornered Chloe Grant against the wall by the door, trapping her between his chest and the wall, closing in...
"Chloe, you won’t find anyone better," he said confidently.
Chloe Grant was displeased, "I will..."
Just as she began to speak, he moved closer, their eyes meeting, noses touching, even sharing the same breath of air.
This close proximity made Chloe Grant’s heart start to flutter.
"You won’t find anyone better than me. Chloe, be good, okay?"
"Matthew Morgan!"
Chloe Grant got angry. She suddenly pushed him away with force, her eyes now red, "Where do you get this confidence? On what basis do you think I won’t find someone better than you? Are you so sure that in this world, besides you, I won’t be with anyone else?"
"Just wait, I’ll show you! I’ll prove you wrong! Just wait!" Filled with anger and defiance, Chloe Grant shouted this before turning around and running out.
As she ran, she couldn’t control her tears from falling.
These were tears of frustration.
She felt aggrieved and angry.
Why, why?
Why was he so confident, and why did he think she couldn’t find someone better?
Can’t forget him?
She would forget him! She definitely would!
As Chloe Grant ran towards her villa, she would pass by Lucas Morgan’s villa.
Coincidentally, Lucas Morgan was returning after a night of partying; he seemed to have drunk quite a bit and was staggering, just in time to bump into Chloe Grant, who was running frantically without watching her path.
"Huh?" Lucas was drunk, but he handled his liquor well, unlike Chloe Grant, who would be completely out of it with just a little drink.
"Chloe, what’s wrong?" Lucas Morgan asked, holding her shoulders.
Seeing her teary-eyed appearance sobered him up quite a bit.
Lucas Morgan’s first reaction was to pull her into a hug, patting her head, "Don’t cry, don’t cry. Uncle is here. Tell Uncle what happened, don’t cry."
