Chloe Grant drove herself back home.

When she returned, Jodie Cooper was just arriving, and Benjamin Grant was not around.

Jodie was immediately shocked upon seeing Chloe’s swollen face, and hurried over, "Who hit you, baby? Was it Lily Grant, or Sophia Fraser? Which one!"

Jodie’s face instantly grew serious, very stern.

Chloe took her hand and shook her head, "None of them."

She seemed very down, her face pale as she walked to the sofa and threw herself onto it.

Jodie followed her over, "Then who did this?"

She was about to sit down but then remembered Chloe’s swollen face, so she quickly ran to the fridge to get some ice and went to the kitchen to boil an egg.

Jodie crouched in front of Chloe, wrapping the ice pack in a towel and helping her rub her face.

"What happened?" Jodie pressed on.

Chloe looked at Jodie with a bitter smile, "I was... hit by my future Aunt Morgan."

The remark was clearly sarcastic.

Jodie was taken aback, immediately thinking of Lucas Morgan.

But before Jodie could say anything, Chloe spoke first, "From the moment I saw her, I kept telling myself to be sensible, to stay calm, wait for him to come back and explain, but..."

"Was it Michael Taylor who did it?" Jodie guessed.
