Accidenttal One Night Stand with My Aloof Uncle-Chapter 523: Living Deeply in an Unfeeling World 3
"Weren’t you going to the night market with Chloe?" Isabella Gray slightly frowned.
"We can all go together." George Stern cleverly responded, quickly taking the movie ticket from Matthew Morgan’s hand, then picked up his phone and made a call. In the end, he turned around and said, "I’ve already arranged it, a VIP cinema, just four seats for us, so we can watch together, and it’ll be quiet, no strangers around."
George was quite eager, not caring what movie they were watching.
As long as he didn’t have to go to the night market alone with Chloe Grant, it was fine.
He’s a coward; he’s scared to death!
Afraid that after one night market stroll with Chloe, he’d end up dead with not even bones left.
So, watching a movie with four people somehow seemed to fool Isabella and keep Matthew steady.
Simply couldn’t be more perfect.
"No problem, let’s settle it like this. After watching the movie, we’ll take a stroll at the night market together, then each return home to our own families, how perfect!"
As George spoke, he kept clapping his hands.
Isabella wasn’t particularly satisfied with this; she slightly frowned and looked worriedly at Chloe Grant.
Then she turned her gaze to Michael Taylor.
Michael had always been a quiet type, didn’t talk much, had a weak presence.
Just, whatever you say, she would agree; if you don’t say, she keeps silent.
"Alright, let’s settle this."
Mr. Morgan couldn’t bear it anymore and waved his hand, "You all should go; your mom’s sleeping time is here."
After he finished speaking, he directly led Isabella back to the room.
Isabella clearly had more to say, but Mr. Morgan wouldn’t allow it. "Young people have their ways of dating; our ways are outdated."
...
After Isabella left, only Chloe Grant, Matthew Morgan, Michael Taylor, Lucas Morgan, and George Stern remained in the living room.
Lucas was the first to speak, "I’m a bit tired tonight, so I’ll sleep here. You guys have fun, goodbye."
Waving his hand, he went upstairs, leaving no trace behind.
George looked at the expressionless Matthew, then at Michael, and finally at Chloe...
The four of them standing there was truly awkward.
"Let’s go, I’ll drive to the cinema." George accepted his fate.
He took the lead and left first.
Michael subconsciously looked at Matthew, clearly waiting for his response.
Matthew didn’t say much, he simply reached out, pulling Chloe, who was standing further back, up, pressing on the back of her head, pushing her forward.
They walked quickly, leaving Michael behind.
She glanced at their backs, then pursed her lips, lowered her head, and followed them out of the living room.
George was driving, and Matthew wanted Chloe to sit in the back with him, but Chloe, upon seeing Michael, suddenly realized something:
George knew about her relationship with Matthew. And judging from Matthew’s attitude, it seemed he trusted George.
But it was different with Michael.
First, although Chloe knows Michael, they’re not as close as with Jodie Cooper, so some things can’t be said openly.
If they’re cooperating to put on a show, they should go all out.
"Uncle Morgan, you and Michael sit in the back; I’ll sit in the front."
She said naturally, then bent down, slipping under Matthew’s arm, and into the front seat, closing the door and buckling the seatbelt.
The action was smooth and quick, very unlike her usual dawdling manner.
Matthew watched coldly.
At this time, Michael had already arrived; she was still somewhat reserved and timid, seating herself inside the car uneasily.
