Abyssal Sovereign: The Demon's Dominion-Chapter 190 - 189: Beginning of the trial..
Dared was surprised.
First, it was the strength.
This being was the weakest general of the organization, yet it was already at the peak of the galaxy level. You must know, this was basically the ceiling shown to most people.
They were already at the peak of power.
Only two realms were stronger: the Universe Realm and the Multi-Universe Realm.
Universe-level beings rarely acted because even a single move could destroy a universe, so they seldom took action.
Yet the weakest general was at the peak of the galaxy level—meaning the others were likely universe level.
This raised an alarming question:
How many generals does this organization have? And the leader... is he also a universal-level being? No... impossible. Then, is he multi-universe level?
Dared was shocked by his own thoughts.
"No, I shouldn't think too much about it. When I join this organization, I'll naturally learn more," Dared thought, then turned to face the next issue.
It was the fact that luck and misfortune didn't work on this being.
No matter the human he scanned, he could always see their luck—positive or negative.
Although for stronger beings, especially those at the universal level or higher, he couldn't see all their stats, luck still affected them in one way or another.
Most had large positive luck, while those with negative luck were often villains, like members of the Wild Shade Group, who seemed almost detached from this world.
But this being…
Nothing.
Neither positive nor negative luck. It was simply...blank.
And then, another thought crossed Dared's mind.
"And then the Crown Prince... he came here? The royalty accepted that? Well, he's worthless, but they have to keep him. Is this their plan—to attack the organization if he dies? Or is he just someone they can blame? Or maybe… a way to get rid of him?" Dared thought rapidly, feeling more shocked, confused, and even a little panicked.
No one could guess what those old foxes in the Federation and the Royal Family were thinking.
Suddenly, a loud voice echoed:
"Your trial begins now. I wish you all luck... Ahahaha, you won't need it!"
The being's laughter echoed as it vanished.
"I'm quite interested… what will the trial be?" Dared wondered, glancing around at the others. freēwēbnovel.com
Maybe they would enter a world and hunt?
Just as he thought that, Dared gasped.
He was alone.
Everywhere around him was white.
"What's going on?"Dared was stunned.
Moments ago, he was with everyone else in space—surrounded by stars.
Now, he stood in an endless, white expanse.
But he wasn't given time to think much.
Something was wobbling into existence ahead.
A smiling face appeared opposite him—and Dared frowned.
It was a face just like his own, carrying a similar aura, strength, and power.
"Survive or be devoured,"
was the only sentence he heard as Dared struggled to process what was happening.
"Survive... or be devoured? What does that mean?"
he thought as the being—his clone—grinned and began walking toward him.
BOOM!
The space around them rippled as the being morphed.
"What technique—?!"...,Dared was shocked.
It was one of his own secret attacks—an ultimate move meant to kill opponents, taught to him by his father when he was young.
But how did this being know it?
While he was still confused, Dared instinctively stepped back and punched out.
Energy surged through his body, his genes housing vast reserves of power.
He unleashed a terrifying pressure that caused space to solidify around him.
"First, scatter the space attribute. Then I can trap him, and after that—wait, what?!"
Suddenly, Dared was struck from the side, flying through the air.
"What's happening?!"...., Rolling across the ground, Dared stood up, coughing out blood and clutching his stomach.
For the being to counter him so perfectly, it had to know his plans...
Unless...
It could read his mind.
Dared's eyes widened as the being smiled the moment he thought that.
"You—?"
The being raised an eyebrow—and attacked again.
"What's this?!"
Dared was stunned as another of his secret techniques was used against him.

Meanwhile...
"Where is this...?"..., A male voice asked.
It was the Crown Prince—the one who had been humiliated by the weakest general of the Dreadborne Organization.
"Grandfather told me to be careful. Even he didn't fully know the extent of this organization's power,"...,the prince gasped. Even though he was weak compared to them, he could feel it:
All connections to the outside world were cut off.
Even the treasures meant to summon his guards—which should have worked no matter where he was—remained silent. Meaning...He wasn't even inside his multi-universe anymore. Then where was he?
As the prince stood frozen in confusion, a figure silently appeared behind him.
A hand was raised, and a sword—nearly two meters long—materialized, its blade thin and sharp.
It slashed downward without hesitation.
"Who are you?"...,The prince asked with a frown. In one smooth motion, he shifted his sheath slightly, drawing his sword halfway.
In an instant, he appeared behind the figure—blood sprinkling into the air.
"Who are you?"..., he asked again, looking at the familiar back. His hand remained resting on his sheath, ready to strike again.
Slowly, the figure turned around—and the prince's eyes widened in shock. "Me...?!"..., It was himself. His clone. At the clone's raised hand, a small cut could be seen—but it was already closing rapidly.
Just then, the prince felt a sharp pain in his chest.Looking down, he saw a shallow cut a few inches long across his chest. His clothing was torn, blood flowing out.The prince grunted in pain.
"When did he...?!"....,
He was bewildered. How had the clone injured him?
Then realization struck. There was a trait he possessed: A rare ability that would double or triple any damage received by himself onto the attacker. His master had told him that when he fully mastered it, his bloodline would reawaken and his strength would soar.
But somehow—this being had just used his own trait against him
"What's going on? What is this? Is this the trial?".., the prince thought desperately.
But sadly, there was no one to answer.Except for that same voice:
"Survive or be devoured."
Nothing else.
He was left completely, terrifyingly, clueless.
